What a lovely video. I loved seeing all of the stores, but, what I loved most was your comment on homeschooling. I homeschooled my four children. My youngest is now 17! He got an opportunity to finish his schooling at a beautiful school in HI, so, he is experiencing school for the very first time, in his last year. It has been an amazing ride, and, may I tell you that homeschooling is not as hard or “weird” as everyone thinks. Haha! It definitely takes a certain personality for both the teacher and the child, but, at least for me, I got to see my children stay “young and innocent” a lot longer. They got to travel, relax, live each moment with purpose and joy. They got to feel, at an early age, what there passions may be. My oldest is a photographer now. At around two years old, we saw his interest, and we went with it. My daughter is a fine artist, who now uses her passion and love to create for others. My middle son is a musician, working in our local studio, and loving every minute of it. And, our last son will now be finishing his last year of schooling, in a Japanese based school, as, his dream, is to some day live/work, or just visit and love Japan. It has been nothing but rewarding for me. I will not speak for my children, as, I do not wish to put my thoughts onto them, but, if their beautiful smiles, artistic ways, respectful demeanors, and just all around happy, comforting, and kind ways do not say enough about how there schooling went, than, I do not know what would. Now, saying all of that is not to push anyone to homeschool, as, it does take a lifetime of dedication, and time, as well as patience, but, I am just explaining my thoughts and opinions, and how it worked for my family. However anyone wants to school their children is absolutely their choice, and, most likely, it is what is best for them. For me, it was homeschool, and I would not have changed a thing.
How beautiful to read this!! We have discerned private Catholic school for now but are leaving the door open and it’s beautiful to hear not just “success” stories but “joyous” stories 🥰
I call your trip research and development. We all need trips like that. Ideas and inspiration pieces helps you decide what you want in your home. Great Video 😊
Awesome video!!!! It remind me of my Family history. That my Father & Brothers build our family home from the lumber and bricks from a Catholic Church!!! The joy of seeing and knowing the history of older buildings!!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
