Honestly, this scene was pretty badass. I believe the goblin was quite formidable. I think people may over look the fact that the huntsman has more than likely faced and killed creatures like this before. It only makes sense he can hold his ground against a creature like this. His ex-wife helping him made things a lot easier.
I would have called that a gargoyle. Now I know goblins have not got a set appearance in folklore and fiction, but that thing suits a gargoyle perfectly

I like how the animators very clearly looked at some footage of chimpanzees and incorporated that in the creature's movements. The way it grabs the branch and starts smacking it around is very chimpanzee-like. I wonder why they call it a goblin, though. With its goat horns and ape-like physique, I would have called it a satyr.
When i think of goblins i think of that little yellow goblin under the bridge of Dora the explorer 😂 or was it a grumpy old troll idk the difference between the 2 😂
