This man is so helpful I had a job interview yesterday and got hired on spot . She said she was supposed to do a second interview but she felt like she didn’t need too with mw
I've heard going to a job interview is much like going on a date. If either goes well, you pretty much know it right away, and if it doesn't, you are often left wondering what you did wrong.
thanks @don - i used your tips and guidance 3 yrs ago to land the job with a great company (didnt have much experience) i've just changed careers to another job and have been 2/2 for interviews with watching your pointers, thinking about my answers in advance and working on confidence
Hello Don, I am a recent subscriber. I am so grateful for your videos. I have an interview in a couple days and am studying your techniques available on RUclips. For years, I felt that I was pretty good at interviewing but have realized in the past couple that maybe I have lost some of my abilities to interview. So, I am watching, studying and trying to prepare. Again, thank you for sharing your videos.
The four points are: 1-They show relevance --> they show how their experience and skills relate to the job requirements 2- They show consistency --> similar to point one...don’t show irrelevant stuff to the interviewers..be consistent 3-They practice --> never walk to an interview without practising answers to several questions.. refresh ur memory on the projects u worked on before u step into the interview so u can impress ur employer 4- They plan ahead --> how to respond to any concerns the employer might have..like age, experience..etc
Thank you for the tips!!! Nowadays in Argentinian IT industry if you don't have a high seniority of english it's hard to find a job like a junior software programmer. But I keep on trying... Thanks a lot.
My "unofficial/official Coach....told me to expect to be rejected or ghosted at least 75% of the time. Just that ONE tip....made me feel much better. No need to take any rejection as gospel, and lose your steam. Go forward, young man....
Great Video. Thank you. From a retired filmmaker -- buy some neutral density film and put it on your windows. It will make the outside expose properly so you don't get that blown out look. Its very cheap and easy to get. Get some ND .9 film and slap it on there. Just trying to help : D
You are wonderful . I love the 4 smart things to say and do in your interview. In the past I was the only one in the room who knows I am good. That is changing... Thank you
I have used @DonGeorgevich techniques and I've now landed a 3rd interview for a position. I'm going to use the tips in this video in my final round interview. Thank you for the advice!
Don Georgevich I got the job, even during COVID-19 thank you for everything Don. I highly recommend any job seeker check out your videos and follow your advice
Hi juanita if you dont mind can you please share the book with me i'm also a job seeker but cant afford the book at moment if you can help me sharing the pdf mail me at kavya95bhasin@gmail.com
Thanks for your video and information > I myself am dealing with the age thing. Im 55 and still seeking a job as a Automotive Technician. They already know that Im not gonna be as fast as the young guys but my experience with different things should be an asset to doing the job with less mistakes and come backs. I realize that I lost my last job i interview because I went in cold. I will prepare for the next one...
It doesn't always work that way -for example hi-tech big business. In the USA, 95% of employees at Global Foundries are Chinese, >80% are from India @ intel, but all tech was pretty much developed and taught in the USA. There was no reason to hire people from India or China especially in such excess when it comes to skills and competences. There are definitively other, hidden factors and one should be clear about this. When I looked for a job at IBM they asked me one and only one question: "Do you have connections at IBM?". My answer was "NO" so they said "Goodbye". They didn't ask me about skills, competences and shit like this.
Why can’t interviews be easier? I have an interview for a counseling intern position next week, I’ve typed all of my questions and responses and have been practicing every day. I have gone over the the responses so many times. This is a time I wish I had a photographic memory and could speak off the cuff!
I’m going on 12 years sending out resumes even a head hunter . I’m almost suicidal as I’m old I’m 44 year old LPN I wear a suite to interview I’ve practiced interview. I’m giving up on nursing as I’m old and white two strikes against me in the medical field so much in your face ageism. I don’t even have money to go back to school. This interview I went in today broke me I’m suicidal and trying to get out if this funk.
Is humor OK an interview? I resort to it alot to fight nervousness, sometimes I got the job sometimes I didn't. So I don't know for sure if it was the humor or not.
Thank you for the great content. You're amazing. Just a small tip: please don't shoot with a window in the background. The background light is overblown and is distracting.
Have you downloaded my free guide for the Top 10 job interview questions? (www.jobinterviewtools.com/top10). This guide can help with those common questions in an interview. Best, Don
Don hi, with full respect to your efforts through your videos, employers do not care about we say during an interview bcz they already read our resume and got some ideas about our experience & skills. They just take an interview as a procedure when theres any vacancy to show their adherence to the organization's policy ! I have been through different interviews and got good signs from interviewers but after each interview no body called me and when I followed up they did not respond to my emails ! I think I need to change my strategy now, otherwise I don't think I am going to get hired forever !please give me your opinion Don ?
Comment ah bout consistency....inconsistencies do not necessarily show lying. I have a very varied background...graduate degree psyche, f Grad studies medicine, writing I think my downside is not practicinv and o. CamerA....ewe
Whilst your general advice and analysis of the most common interviews is laudable and undeniably useful the reference to 'lack of consistency...means your shady' betrays a very shallow understanding of emotional intelligence. I am aware that you frequently give sales examples so perhaps the lack of understanding and 'one size-fits-all methodology originates from that competitive environment. Where your advice flounders is upon the parallels between evasive job seekers and criminals? This is very unsympathetic and alienates and misrepresents candidates who experience social anxiety or other cognitive disabilities and barriers.
Thanks John for reaching out. I understand that there are many different types of people and the way that they interview, because there are sometimes other factors that are in play. I am trying to coach and point out issues that I have personally dealt with or issues I have seen from the many of people that I coached. I am not in any way saying this is the end all, be all for interviewing, just pointing out one facet of the issues I have seen firsthand. Best, Don
Don Georgevich That particular characterisation stood out as a little problematic and I felt I should challenge it but I have appreciated learning more interviewing skills with the benefit of your videos. Thanks Don.

When I'm investing all this preparation just to work retail or at a warehouse.
I got my start in retail, worked hard made connections and moved up. No one is going to give you a career, go out a MAKE it happen!
Everyone starts somewhere. It’s not where you’re from it’s where you’re at!!!

Don, “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” I have seen this for years and it still goes on today.
it does help a lot.
Thanks Don, very well put together and always a great reminder to do and say the right things when it really counts!

Thank you for another Great informative session! Can an employer say something about your age relating to your qualifications?
I know this question was for Don, but I can say, with 100% certainty, no employer can ask this type of question. Its a red flag.
It's illegal.
nice...
Excellent explanation. But tell with examples.

How much is your book?
you can get all the pricing details from www.jobinterviewtools.com
Hey George, how long do you recommend we practice??
Get a list of common questions or questions related to the position you are interviewing for and have someone ask them to you in a mock interview
I can't resist to subscribe you....
resistance is futile...
So what if you tell different stories because thy are different examples of the same thing?
Always assuming the job hasn't already been promised to someone else but they need to pretend it is an open process.
that's right.
Very informative but could you please give some subtitles in English only so if i couldn't understand your voice so i could read then

The only way to get hired these days is through nepotism.
actually it's networking.
