Camilla Row: An Update In Relentlessness

Camilla Row received her stomach cancer diagnosis in her late 30s. She had an aggressive form of cancer with poorly differentiated growths, and in order to manage it properly, she had multiple rounds of chemotherapy and a total gastrectomy. She was declared NED after those procedures.
In 2022, Camilla had a stage 4 recurrence when scans revealed Krukenberg tumors on her ovaries. She had emergency surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes and started a new regimen of powerful chemotherapy.
For most of 2023, Camilla was NED and didn't have to do any chemotherapy. She has just started a new regimen because of spots discovered during a recent scan. Along with her surgeries and chemo, Camilla has tried immunotherapy and HIPEC. She also does laparoscopic surveillance to stay ahead of the cancer. Camilla has not participated in clinical trials since her cancer grows in an unpredictable manner, and does not show up in scans.
Camilla's advice to other patients is to carve out their own path. She encourages people to seek multiple opinions, ask the hard questions, and look for different perspectives. She dreams of a cure and better long-term management techniques for the future.
