    I have the SGS28 and it took me a little while to get use to the pointing angle, it makes me point my wrist down word when I use it. I'm used to it now and I really like it. That easy trigger pull will make it last along time.

    • @ljhookem14
      @ljhookem14 3 года назад

      I used to buy the same as you until I tried the SGS28 and you will be shocked how much easier it is to pull the trigger. It’s hard to explain how light the pressure is needed on SGS28 compared to that McKillans.
      I would get one off Amazon and try it and if you don’t like it, return it.
      I used to think exactly as you as well as the guy making this video but just pulling that trigger for a couple hours and you’ll be able to tell the difference. It’s extremely noticeable!

    I just picked up the SGS28 because I have the SG28 and love it, I just wanted a gun with a swivel. McKillans was sitting at $60 when I ordered the SGS28 at $85 with QC’s, so not a huge difference in price currently. I just stuck with the MTM because of owning the non- swivel version and like it.

    Thank you man I am new to your channel and car detailing so I appreciate you. I have one thought on the sound portion of the the connectors that may have caused the grinding in the MTM. Stainless steel is a very hard surface as compared to brass that is much softer and that may be the difference. Keep them coming, not all of us would buy/compare like you do.

  • @saviordream

    I picked up the MTM about a month and a half ago due to the McKillans model with the swivel not being available on Amazon at the time. Kept having trouble with the cheap $15 ones I was getting from Amazon and finally decided to spend some money to get a quality unit. While I would have gone for the McKillans had it been available, I'm really impressed with the MTM gun. Quality is so much better than what I had been using. The only thing I noticed (and something you pointed out in your video) is that the swivel mechanism is kind of tight, and not as free moving as your McKillans. Hopefully that will get smoother over time. Other than that, it's a fantastic bit of kit.

    As a twice-a-month user, I got the Sooprinse (it that an Ooops of 'soaprinse' or a parody?) which was pretty cheap ..but, nice and beefy - manly. I feel like an idiot having used long wands for the past decade! What a pain to try and one-hand.
    This stubby is 100% easier to use for anything not 10' tall. Thank for getting me to look into them.

    I had to go with the MTM cause my pressure washer is 3400psi and I would like to use the gun for more than just washing my vehicles. Currently the McKillans is 60 bucks and the MTM is 82. I decided the extra 22 bucks was worth it to be able to use my washer at full pressure when needed. If my washer had a lower rating, I would have went with the McKillans gun.

    Thanks for the honest review. I wonder if any information can be shared regarding the construction and design of the valve assembly? specifically, is the MTM stainless machined with tight tolerances preventing the need for internal O-rings or seals that maybe the McKillans requires? ie. does the MTM have no internal wear components that may shorten the life of the brass assembly?

    The Mckillan's trigger has more pushback, making it more comfortable to hold and control when it's in use. The MTM (Hydro SG28) kind of locks in place and doesn't spring back into your fingers so it makes you squeeze harder to control it, almost having to fight it when the pressure kicks in.
    I prefer the Mckillans.

    AR Annovi Tecomec MV925 with Swivel is another solid choice. Made in Italy, 4060psi 8gpm and can be found for about $43 (swivel version) but does not come with the 3/8” and 1/4” QC fittings. I bought the MV925 because the McKillins swivel version was out of stock. The MTM products just seem overpriced to me.

      Yes sir. The AR Annovi MV925 is a good choice and it is made by Comet. Or another option would be a setup from Suttner like the ST-2305 or ST-2605 (pretty much identical to the crazy expensive Mosmatic except for the swivel I believe)

    I've been watching all your vids on pressure washers, wands, soap, everything. I am still confused with one thing. You have different angle tips that determine PSI. What is the PSI when attaching a foam Gun? I never can find anything that explains this. I have the GPW 2300 Electric Pressure washer and the MJCC Foam Pro Cannon (both of which you reviewed). If I attach the MJCC Foam Cannon to the Pressure washer - what is the PSI that I'm getting. I ask because MJCC recommends a 1.35mm orafice for PSI Greater than 2200. You have the best videos again.

    As you said if all you are doing is car detailing then the McKillans will suffice. However if you also have a decent gas pressure washer with good GPM and solid PSI you may be looking to buy a gun for that environment as well. If you are after one gun to do it all the MTM may be the better choice.

  • @johnblack8036
    @johnblack8036 2 года назад

    I have a Generac 7122 pressure washer. It's okay, but within the first week of use, the stock hose exploded. I went to Home Depot to get a replacement, and got a Ryobi 35 footer. It's not that much better.. It works, but it kinks up way too often and it's a mission to move around with. I already ordered the Flexzilla 5/16" 50 foot hose. I borrowed my neighbor's gun and wand because the dial on the stock Generac gun is shoddy. The gun didn't have a name on it. It just said Made in Italy on it and it made the stock Generac gun and wand look like trash. Can I use one of these on my machine or is there one you can recommend? Anything is better than what I have, but I want something good. I'm not a professional, but I have to clean my driveway and sidewalk often. The machine runs great, it's just the accessories it came with are either subpar or useless. Kinda like the surface broom is comes with. Absolutely useless.
    Those Italians must have some special knowledge for making pressure guns because the Vapor Clean steamer I have is Italian also. Anyway, let me know. Thank you!

    Have you thought about reviewing the MEZZO "TORO" TWIN PIPE WASH SYSTEM? If so, do you think it can be an effect tool in the detail biz?

    Can you add a swivel to a gun that's doesn't have one?

    I heard the Mckillans doesn't swivel when it's under pressure. That's a deal breaker there. Can anyone confirm?

    What nozzle do you use when spraying the water?

    The MTM trigger is meant for replacement purposes. The other gun is basically throw away if you have trigger problems. IMO MTM far superior and the last gun you will buy.

    Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well ruclips.net/user/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.

    Hi IMJOSHV, I bought the McKillans wand and tried to use it with the Sooprinse form cannon but I get absolutely no form, zero. Anything I’m doing wrong? I use CG clean slate in it with 1.1 orifice. Any advice would be valued.

      If you’re not getting foam something is going on with the foam cannon. Did you double check to make sure the straw inside was connected? If it’s not it won’t be picking up any of the soap
