Loved the video! Yes, the current launch is for the super early birds that helped design the gun with us. Once we get more inventory it'll be available to everyone, but you can join the waitlist in the meanwhile for a discount. The internals are stainless steel and nickel-coated brass. Appreciate the honest review as always!
@@paulbadenhop7272 In V1 and V2 it was a stainless dowel but there was too much lateral play in the trigger which would require modifying the metal internals in a way which would cause interference with the plastic. The trigger has flat ears on the side with minimal clearance on the body which further support it from this lateral play. In order for reliability, and an amazing trigger feeling we went with this design.
The engineering of the product is what makes it so good. He really put his homework in and time building this gun. A little expensive maybe? However, great product from a really good company.
As someone with hand issues, I really appreciate this comparison. I will be putting this on my shortlist. I've been using the original for a couple of years, before it was cool, but this could be an upgrade. Anything I can do to reduce pain or fatigue doing something I enjoy is a win.
First one with a nozzle holder that I’ve seen……………….except for the one that came with the DeWalt pressure washer you tested about a year ago, which is one of reason I got that unit. Love the holder and the nozzle is really nice!!!
Oh crap you’re right haha.. but to be fair this is the first short gun with it since technically the dewalt came with the extension and then had to be modified to be short. With that said I did forget about the dewalt
I think I'm going to give this one a try. I just sent my OG McKillans back to Amazon after about 3 weeks because it had started leaking already. Hoping to have more luck with this one.
@IMJOSHV. You are right about the fluidity of the Mosmatic stainless swivel. I retrofitted their swivel to my MTM Aqualine S35 and just love how it works.
Their website is a bit confusing to me. I'm looking for that one you are showing in blue/purple but, on their website they seem to have one that is avail and another that invites us to get on their waitlist. Is there another new model on the way? I don't mind paying a bit more - at my age I anticipate my tools are going to last the rest of my life. And thank you for creating and sharing your presentations -- they're excellent and I appreciate your work.
I have the first Mckillians which I still love but then again I have a active that I like also but the new one does look cool anyway another great video Josh and love the play toy behind you today
Awesome vid as always Josh. I just ordered the original McKillan's yesterday, doh! I may just wait for this one instead. I signed up for the early bird, I guess I'll wait. Keep up the great videos Josh, thanks for all the great advice. On my way to get my pressure washer set up all together!
Would say worth it as Wasted a bunch of time looking for quick connects here in my town an d not a one found so the fact that they finally provide the quick connect so you can actually use this gun right away is key, instead I'm still waiting for my amazon set from your link, thanks !
Yeah the sgs28 is great. As I mentioned for me personally it’s not the most comfortable but that’s just cause I’m used to this style. If I used the sgs more I would get used to it and I like how lightweight and easy to pull the trigger this one is
People are really butthurt about a $100 gun but have never tried a high quality pressure washer gun. My mtm sg28 has held up for over 6 years. Plus they offer $20 rebuild kits so that over time when something internal breaks or wears you can replace it for $20. The material is much thicker than these thin handle Chinese made ones and the trigger is easily pulled.
Hey Josh, thanks for doing this review. How does the swivel perform under pressure? Does it tighten up? Please release more videos on how the gun performs in real world use. Thanks!
As nice as the new pressure washer gun is, $100 is crazy. You can even see the internals and the changes are minimal. The casing has additional spots for the nozzles, which is cool, but not $100 cool.
I got it on Amazon prime day for $80. As a detailer that nozzle holder is a game changer. There are so many things to keep up with when detailing and this just makes it that much easier
Super slick design. Big up Josh for getting onto the review. Will the nozzle tips affect any of the Simoniz 1800 models? They seem to only work best with the nozzle they've come with.
I have the original Mckillans and it started leaking from the tip which causes my ryobi 1800 to purge every 20 seconds or so. It works, just leaks. The leak doesn't bother me its just that the leak causes my pressure washer to purge constantly.
I love my McKillians Foam Cannon and would love to add this gun to my cleaning kit. However, would you happen to know or have reviewed a Pressure Washer Gun that works with Bosch Aquatak pressure washers? Is there an adapter that allows this gun to be used with the Bosch pressure washer systems?
I watch your videos all the time, and they are fantastic. Have the older McKillan’s Pressure Washer Gun. It’s starting to leak. Do you know where I can purchase the stainless steel swivel adapter connector?
Got the early bird special as well. Used it right away. This fun is the best out there. The nozzle storage is a game changer, at least for me cause I do switch nozzles when cleaning wheels. Also the handle is super easy to pull now.
İ have a bosch aquatak 120. But the seller said that no equipment other than its own hose and gun fits this machine. Does anyone have knowledge about this? because it has only been 1 year and water is leaking from the gun and the hose is terrible and very tight.
Thanks for the insight, Josh. No issues with the Essential pressure washer gun & for less than $40 we dropped on them, there has to be double the value in this one for more than double the price and based on the video, we simply don't see it. Happy Father's day, dude.
The Mosmatic gun that you rated the best but the angle that you had to hold kind of hurt your wrist. Well I purchased the Mosmatic and I too found within a few minutes, it too was to uncomfortable to keep. I returned it the nest day.
Yea as far as the quality of the quick connects and the swivel its was the best but the price gets crazy and like you said, not the most comfortable to hold.. atleast for me and you!
I recently purchased a black truck (F250) against my better judgement and now I'm obsessing on your videos. Do you have a recomendation for a diy pressure washer that comes in around $200? The more i watch the more questions i have!!!
it is a good thing i watched this video before i bought the current mckillans swivel gun, now i will wait until these are out and replace my stock Ryobi pressure washer gun and get this when its available. i just bought the uber flex hose, and some quick disconnects and the MJJC foam gun and chemical guys snow soap.
I just checked the Mckillians channel and they show this gun & holder holding 2 standard nozzles, not the ones with the rubber guard… That sort of confirms 2 things: That the holder won’t hold 2 nozzles w/guards and also that the nozzle guards are an unnecessary gimmick, because if they were actually useful they themselves would be using them, especially considering they sell and advertise them so heavily.
I have the original McKillans - swivel connect will NOT fit any of my tools: Bauer (Harbor Freight), electric power washer, Chemical Guys Foam gun, tried Amazons Package of quick connects - but none fit🙄
Really? I’ve used it with a bunch of things with no issues… even the chemical guys big mouth foam cannon… I wonder what’s going on there. It should be a standard 3/8 swivel quick connect and the nozzle is a standard 1/4. Does it fit in but just doesn’t allow the quick connect to secure all the way?
Can you comment on the Bigboi Washr Pro gun ? Should I upgrade it ? It’s my first and I don’t know if it needs an upgrade. Is it bulky ? I feel it could be.
Is the blue essential gun still good for the money? My old mkillans swivel gun trigger is sticky so need a new one for under 50 if anyone has suggestions that would help a ton

Been using the original swivle for a little while now. Great gun but the swivle seems a rad tight hopefully it loosens up. Wouldn't buy any over priced og stuff not shure why so many people include links to their stuff . 🤔
This thing is worth like $29 bucks..I own this and the Chinese harbor freight stubby.. use this and form your own opinion…my advice is save that $75 and put it towards a higher quality pressure washer since that’s what’s actually doing the work and making a noticeable difference
It was actually Koch chemie nano magic shampoo from their blue line dtlrsupply.com/products/kcx-koch-chemie-nano-magic-shampoo?_pos=2&_sid=34a6200e1&_ss=r
Honest question: why are people switching nozzles so much? I use a 25 degree 4.0 for my wheels then a 40 degree 4.0 for the rest of the car. I never switch back and forth.
Yea I really only use the one nozzle but having storage right on the unit is nice for when I switch to my foam cannon and can keep the tip right with me. A pocket will work too haha, but I do find myself searching for my nozzle all the time after using my foam cannon and the nozzle holders help with that
3 days ago, the old model was 35$ instead of 60$ and the new one is now 125$ before tax in Canada. Ended up 100$ difference so I took the old model. The difference in price doesn't look justified to me.
Getting to be more and more. My commercial auto insurance for 2 vehicles went from about 2400 a year (then the company stopped offering insurance and California) and my next policy quote came in at 12k for the year… I didn’t go with that but It did go up still. It really depends on what insurance you’re speaking about. General liability?

I have the Mosmatic gun and its live swivel action and trigger can't be beat. But it was expensive.
Saying it can’t be beat really doesn’t mean much. The differences regarding the two is negligible
I'm looking at a ryobi 1900 what size orifice on a the nozzles will be best for diy detailing cars and home cleaning?
Should I get this gun and the mkillians foam cannon or the mtmsgs35 and the mtm foam cannon

This is with forge stainless internal with tungsten ball. More expensive than OG specs mosmatic.
Do you think i will have an issue with this gun if i have a 2900 psi preasure washer with a 2.5 gpm?
Why do you think you might have an issue with it for this reason?
Your machine is below the guns rating right?
Why didn’t you connect 2 nozzles w/rubber guard into the nozzle holder? Do 2 even fit?
