There are a lot of options for stubby style pressure washer guns, but are the high priced ones really better than the cheaper options? In todays video I am testing out 7 pressure washer guns under $40 to see how they compare. Some of these also have built in swivels while others are purely a budget option with one starting as low as $15. I open these up and measure the force required to pull the trigger while under load from the pressure washer to see how they stand up to the competition... ENJOY!

Had I seem your video first, i might have gone with the Ridge. Something to mention with the lower GPM guns is that some pressure washers like Karcher in the UK will suffer from over pressure pulsing if the gun can’t handle the pressure that the machine can push out, seems like nothing to worry about but this can reduce the life of the machine

I’m having the hardest time picking an all around soap for basic car washing. Don’t want a crap product but also don’t want the most expensive. If you go with active foam its a 9.5 ph so you get a bit more cleaning power and it’s smells fantastic! All of my customers always comment on it. But if you’re just starting out even something like meguiars gold class will do well for you! And it’s cheap and available everywhere

IMO, if you are going to house/roof wash then residential houses all you need is a cheap battery operated softflow system (pump, hose, propoitioner to begin with. As you get into larger structures or commercial then it is time to move to an air diaphragm pump and an air compressor or a gas soft wash pump like the AR45 Soft Wash Pump + a Honda engine. The only gun to use with these systems is the General Pump YG1635SR. You are not going to get much distance with a 5.5 gpm 12v softwash pump and you will probably go thru 2-3 a season. You will need two 12v batteries plus a proportioner for soft wash. This is a market filled with competitors and entry is very easy and cheap.
I would specialize in flat concrete service stations, dumpster pads, bank drive through, fast food drive through and any other place where it gets really greasy oily. You need a hot water high gpm machine and a surface cleaner. Now you are not competing in the house/roof/driveway softwash market which is really overcrowded.

Obsessed garage has one for 500 dollars. He likes it because his woman can strap in on and peg him.

Insane you couldn’t be bothered inspecting and testing the $15 one. Why bother showing it in the first place? Just omit it next time.

I bought the Ridge gun with the trigger lock.. It's absolute trash. All the connectors that come with it leak. Even with sealant tape. Do not reccomend. Very poor quality

That’s a bummer. I havent had any issues with mine leaking as of now. Was yours leaking right away?

@@imjoshv yes, I used the adapters it came with to connect to my uberflex hose and both ends of the connector were leaking, even after applying alot of sealant tape. First use was leaking all over the place

You would think several days after people asking why there is no link for the fixfans gun that Josh could at least reply with an explanation. I see he replied to other comments but ignored all of those. It doesn’t even matter what the reason is, just answer the people that are asking the question.

I was just watching this video and thinking the same thing. Then again, when I try searching Amazon for a Fixfans gun it does not come up with anything like shown in the video.
