These are the most important steps when starting out drawing the head. I consider these the "gesture" to a head drawing.

Thank you so much. Your figure drawing book has been a life saver for me amidst the ocean of "master anatomy in 7 minute" videos on youtube. Taking the time to make these videos to supplement the learning is awesome. Am grateful.

Someone on 4Chan recommended to watch your videos for art and they were absolutely right, you helped me understand why my anatomy drawings are stiff 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️

Dad bought your book for me when I was thirteen, and I wasn’t smart enough to figure how to use it… until now. Your knowledge and writing is superb and I have loved using your book. Bless you!

I’m so happy I found your channel, the way you explain and simplify things down understandable to me and it clicks very well 😊

It was only after I started drawing figures that I realized the genius of this week 1 head simplification. It communicates all the necessary information, takes VERY few strokes to get down, and is easy to rotate with a little perspective knowledge. Thanks for this!

this is easier than the Loomis method, i don't know why the hell people always use the loomis

It's kinda like why people study Michaelangelo, sure, contemporary methods are objectively better, but it had to come from somewhere and to know how it got there helps us understand better.

Isn't this just simplified loomis method

I know this is a rhetorical question, but I think Loomis is just an older, more established method. I honestly found out about Michael from other drawing RUclipsrs. I’m sure in a few years the Hampton method will be more commonly mentioned with Loomis et al.

“my poorly drawn skulls are here…” 😳 Uh yeah, don’t look at my skull drawings. 😂 in all seriousness, this is super helpful! I will pick up the book as I have heard great things.
