The skirt is so pretty, and unique.. as always fits you very well. I've never seen one made in such a unique way. The imagination you have is something you don't see twice in any store or someone having the same design on. Very complimentary. Love it.... Continue with your joy for it's a joy watching your accomplishments. Love Auntie Irene.....,.........,......
Thank you so so much. I couldn’t leave that beaded fabric beyond. I really loved it. Love you dearly. Thanks for watching and sharing your sweet thoughts.
I love that! I've never worked with big loose weaves like that (bercale, I think? Tweed?) but always loved how sophisticated they look. Like Chanel jackets.
Hi, Vanessa. Thank you so much. I loved the beaded fabric so much. I kind of want to get more to make something to go with the skirt. The parchment paper is wonderful. It really keeps things from sticking to your ironing board too, like interfacing, as an example. I hope you like it.
You did an amazing job on your beautiful skirt! I recently bought a pink tweed from Madame Joann that looks the same, minus the beads. Before I even finished cutting out my pencil skirt, I was telling myself "never again will I work with this fabric"! 😆 It was so loose and loopy and snaggy. Yours was so lovely and well-behaved. You have the magic touch!
Oh, my goodness. I’m so sorry that you had problems with your fabric. That can be so frustrating. I suppose I got lucky. This tweed fabric was really easy to work with. The only thing that slowed me down was the beads. Thank you so much. I’ve been thinking about making something to wear with this skirt now. I think a jacket will be really cute with it. I hope your pencil skirt turned out okay in the end.
That beaded fabric is so pretty. I might have to go take a look at that at my Joann’s. And the skirt looks great on you. I love that you decided to make the longer overlay. That wouldn’t have occurred to me. You are always so stylish. Thanks for the video.
Aw. Thank you so so much. I thought using the longer overlay would be kinda cute. I figured if I didn’t like it, I could just cut it off. Lol. Yes. That beaded fabric is gorgeous. I wasn’t expecting to see that fabric during this time of year because it’s a thicker type of fabric. I hope you find it at your local store.
That’s a beautiful skirt Ms. M! You always find the most gorgeous Fabrics in JOANN. When I go in, I’m always having a hard time finding exactly what I would like to see… Maybe I need to change what I like to see! Lol! 😂😂😂.
Thank you. Lol. 😂 I was so surprised to find that fabric at Joann. It wasn’t on my radar. If I had gone straight to the denim section, I totally would’ve missed it.
That’s so cool that you’ve made this skirt twice already. I am definitely going to make this again in denim. I think chambray would be cute in this skirt too. Great idea. Thanks for watching, especially since you’re already made this pattern. :)
Thank you so much, Heather. I hope you make one. This pattern wasn’t on my radar until I saw someone else make it, and I loved it on them. I’m definitely planning to make another one myself. Have a wonderful week also.
Very niiiice ❤ The beauty of being a sewist is that you can be as creative as you want, infusing your personal vibe. Great job 👏🏾 👍🏾
Thank you so much. Agreed, and it’s so fun seeing a garment come to life.

I love this fabric too. It’s so pretty. I think it’s a Tweed, if I had to guess.
sweet skirt! That fabric would have caught my eye, too~ thanks for sharing!
Hi, Neena. You’re welcome. This fabric definitely turned all my denim plans around. :)
I love how your skirt turned out! That is a great tip with the parchment paper. I will give it a try!!

Talk about love at first sight. Lol. I had to have that fabric. I thought it was really pretty too. Thank you so so much, Janis.

I would wear that skirt EVERYWHERE!
Awww. :) 😉
Your skirt is so cute! I like how you lengthened the overlay piece! I wouldn't have been able to resist buying the tweed fabric either 😊
I know, right? Thank you! I thought it was sooo pretty. I should be able to get denim fabric anytime, but that beaded fabric might go away. Lol
Really cute! Great job!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much. I really fell in love with that beaded fabric.
Fabric is gorgeous. I ordered some from website and plan on making a Chanel inspired jacket/skirt combo.
Oh, nice. Yes. It is gorgeous. I’m so glad you were able to order some online. Your jacket and skirt are going to be great in this fabric.
Love it! That’s a great fabric and I love that pattern. I’ve made two skirts with that pattern. I want to make a denim or chambray one too!

Lovely! The fabric screams at me for a matching set - a little crop jacket maybe?
I agree. I think a matching jacket would be great with this skirt and fabric. Thank you so much.
Cute!
Thank you so much. Now I need to find something to wear with it. :)
