ive been dancing tango for a decade now ( old school music 20s -50s) and i can hear small parts of that music implemented into Gotans music, as if they intend to keep it, preserve it. and im so glad to witness such attitude: them being authentic, yet respect and keepsake tango.
I remember seeing going to a concert of them, 15 years ago, in Lisbon Portugal. They were all dressed in white on the stage, playing in a theater in downtown. It was winter and the Atlantic weather was unforgiving, rainy, cold, windy. Then I went in, it the magic started. I begun my little journey to another world, across the ocean. It was amazing.
First time I went to Buenos Aires unfortunately was by mistake as I lost my connection flight to Sao Paulo so Aerolineas Argentinas put everyone at this amazing 5 start hotel in down town . When they informed us what it was gonna happen myself and one Australian and a New Zealander guy decided to explore the city in the middle of the night , as we had only 8 hours in Argentina the last thing I thougt was to go to bed . We had an amazing night . When the sun started to come out I went for walk in the cbd and in the background this album was playing pretty loud from a music shop . I've just clicked in this video as I haven't listened this for 18 years. Gracias Argentina !!!
Me gusta La Vigüela, me gusta mucho la banda pero los temas que más me gustan son los que mezclan tango y ritmos folklóricos, como El Norte o La Vigüela... es como la síntesis perfecta de toda la música tradicional argentina.... Por cierto, me encantó enterarme de que Eduardo es el mismo Eduardo de Edu y el Pollo, cuando era niña amaba su programa infantil en ATC con folklore para niños. Así que supongo que lo sigo desde siempre

Muy buen álbum! Me gusta la energía que le aporta el tango electrónico a esta legendaria música Argentina. El sonido del bandoneón es estupendo combinado con estos ritmos. He escuchado tango clásico en vivo, y me parece que es la manera que más se disfruta, pero no me sentaría a pasar mi tiempo escuchando un tango clásico....pero si este estilo de tango electrónico.
