😘tysvm for showing how to can. i had watched a few but then they started with the pressure cooker.. no. not my line of thinking..tyvm.. this was perfect. at times the imperfection in the lid will cause siphoning.. very difficult to see at times, my dad found a rubber seal that was pitted..also when my moms green beans spoiled he knew she was diabetic and got her to doc asap. idk.. old wives tale just happened..

I just made this recipe yesterday, and walked away while my apples were "simmering". In actuality, they were boiling away. I canned them up anyways, but they are more like apple mush than apple slices. Yours look beautiful though! And I totally agree on there not being enough syrup! What's the deal with that, Ball?

@@Jeni_Gough Gotcha. Just looking at alternative ways to store those cooking apples for crumbles!
Currently we cook / freeze (expensive over in UK - and with talk of power cuts not best) or dehydrate and vacuum seal..
Am looking at canning as third option!
Freeze drier simply too expensive, both to buy,and running costs /tech problems if everything goes down means the simplest methods are the most sustainable!
