    It's nice to know that Nikon is listening to what people are saying about their equipment and service. Obviously a bit slow, but commendable all the same.

    Well done from them. You're a small channel, so they really didn't need to do it. Glad to hear of this resolution.

    If you got the 100-400mm and 28-400mm as loaners, it would be interesting to hear what both of you think of them. And if your clients notice a difference in the images.

    Sold my D850 and D500, and f mount lenses, when the Z and S were introduced, it was a learning curve but I’ve never been happier with what I produce. I have also bought Nikon stock, I really like what they are doing as a company. Nobody offers better firmware updates.

    Glad to hear you got recognition. I can't believe you are a small channel. Problem is you aren't influencers or marketers but are real world users who operate like most of us.....and us with GAS.
    I am in Australia but consider you must watch because I am a Nikon user and you live in my photography world.

    Excellent news. This is the type of communication needed. Being a professional-level user should come with the likelihood of loaner equipment when lengthy repairs are needed and an understanding of how long the repairs may take.
    Being reimbursed is a surprise since it was never asked, so that helps to make up for the initial oversight.
    I hope you get a chance to review some equipment soon, and, perhaps some NDA reviews. Blink once if you got a Z6iii and twice if it's a Z9h. ... If it is something else, don't blink at all. 😅
    I enjoy your reviews mainly because it is not information lost in a bunch of numbers and statistical analysis. It is real people doing real-world projects with the equipment giving the results. You may make a mistake along the way and learn something new about the process to share with us, and that's what makes it real and more … human.
    What happened to the catchphrase "See you next time!"?? I miss it already!

    Well done #Nikon #NikonEurope glad to see you doing the right thing, he should have gotten a brand new one for all that trouble or t the very least, since this is a Nkon dedicated channel, please send them some of your new gear or releases for them to test ... Sony and Canon are ahead of you when it comes to reaching out to influencers, creators and how they deal with them, you have def gotten better but better service and communication with your creators and costumers etc will go a long way for you. For now, cheers on this is great and keep up the good work!

    • @felm.974
      @felm.974 5 месяцев назад +2

      also, if a $3k, $5k or $6k piece of equipment has a fault, it is the companies fault and they should take care of their costumers better, compensate them or send them a breand new one... I would hate it if my Z8 broke... i dont think I would ever by a super expensive camera if that happens, I love Nikon so I would just buy the least expensive ones like the Z6iii if they don't take care of me lol..

    I have learnt in life as a professional photographer that you need to highlight companies when they do the wrong thing. And then as soon as they brand is in damage control on the internet. They will come forward and that's where RUclips is great for holding people to account.

    I feel that I am a month in to having the same horrible repair experience on my Z24-70 f2.8S as you encountered! I am a pro based in Gothenburg Sweden and now my pro shop revealed to me that Nikon Sweden now no longer has a service center based in Sweden and my lens is in some Balkan country (they had no idea which one) and that they had no direct information or contact details of the said repair shop, only Nikon know!!! I have told them that I want my lens back NOW even unrepaired if they cannot give me a set date. This is my first time ever buying an extending lens and now, due to this experience shall be my last. That extending tube developed a hairline crack which grew over time, I shone a torch into the lens and saw that light came through the crack, hence leaving it in for repair. It took Nikon two weeks to just send me a message that they were not taking it on warranty and that the repair would cost close to 600 US dollars!!!
    I said you are holding me hostage but agreed as long as any part that is replaced is returned with the lens and I wanted a fully specified invoice. I waited another two weeks and asked my shop what was going on. They told me it was taking time because the Balkan repair center were not used to such demands! I am literally being held hostage. I just wish I never sent it in! Never again!🤬

    I am in the NPS system and had a fault with my Z9 in 2022. The service was brilliant - absolutely no complaints. The fault was very quickly resolved and the camera back with me. It has worked faultlessly ever since. On teh subject of teleconverters - I have a Z 1.4xTC which I sometimes use on my Z 70-200 and get excellent results at f/4 wide open. However, I also tried it on my Z 100-400 in back to back comparisons with a borrowed Z 180-600. Despite the 100-400 being an S-Line lens and the 180-600 isn't, the results the latter gave were noticeably better than the 100-400 with the 1.4. I tried this on two occasions with different Z 180-600s and got the same results on each occasion so I traded my 100-400 for a 180-600 and am very impressed with this lens.

    • @russandloz
      @russandloz  5 месяцев назад

      Interesting, but yes seems different lenses are very different with TC's. Guess the size and weight of the 100-400 is also an attractive pull?
