Thanks for this video Guillaume! I've been trying to use FCP for a while but still not quite getting the hang of it. People usually tell me FCP is way simpler than PR but not for me I guess😂
The process of switching from a software is way more difficult as it seems. I have been trying to get away from premiere, but the learning curve of fcp and davinci is not letting me do it. I always come back to premiere lol!
I feel your struggle. When I tried Premiere for the first time I got so frustrated not to be able to achieve very simple tasks. What do you think after watching this video? Is it helping at all?
Hey, have you tried automatically syncing audio from other clips to the videos in FCP? I'm recording some interviews which I'm recording with a phantom powered mic directly into my interface into my laptop and in Premiere there was this "synchronize" function in the timeline which worked great as it synced the audio clip with the recorded audio from the camera but I can't seem to find anything similar in FCP.
yes I use it all the time. If only using 1 video track and 1 audio track, select both of them in the fcp browser, then right click and select "synchronise clips". Then make sure that "use audio for synchronisation" is selected and click OK. It will take a few seconds for final cut to generate a compound clip in the browser that you can drag and drop onto your timeline. If using more than 1 camera (2 camera interview for example) I'd recommend doing the same but using the "new multicam clip" function Let me know how you go!
@@GuillaumeCornetfilms Thank you very much, that's what I needed! Still getting used to the library/browser workflow of the FCP, quite different from drag and dropping clips on the Premiere timeline I did before.

Happy to help! let me know if there is a particular topic you want me to cover and I could make a video for it!
