I beat him the manly way: At level 40, ringing my distress bell, and shooting blue sparks from 200 yards.
I just used my horse and swung and run for 10 minutes lol

I was playin prisoner qith the starter lvl, qas Just spamin the spell and cleared him in 4 mins ore sum

It's odd that first time the boss was so tough I had to level and get weapons to fight it. After beating the game going back with a level 1 Wretch and I was surprised at how it was easier than the first time.
why wouldn’t it be easier. you beat the whole game already💀you understand the game better than your first time ever playing it. obviously you’re gonna be better

Part of it doesn't feel like experience/skill, at least for me there's a neurological/psychological component.
When I first fight a boss I tend to do better than the second time, possibly there's a different part of my brain is being used and this part is more robust.
Or it could be psychological: since I've failed once I think it likely to fail again, and having beaten the game is the counter of this.
@@BradleyZS Fight or flight isn't taking over as much the second time you fight them. Your brain is able to see a puzzle rather than a threat to your life.

Damn this boss killed me everytime I need to level up and get a 4 golden seeds before I could kill him
I understood in basically every boss fight you just need to be patient. Wait for the right moment, no matter how good you are and prepared you are, wait your moment in every single fight

I struggled so much until the whole stance breaking thing clicked with me. Seeing him laying there helpless was a great feeling.

I find his second phase is alot more easier. When he does those huge lunges, roll into him and you'll get to punish him with a charged attack or two light attacks or one heavy and a light.
Next challenge: Level 1 wretch vs Malenia Blade of Miquella
it'll be a challenge to even get to her boss room at level 1

I spent hours fighting this guy as a level one knight bro
44 mins, not bad at all, it took me 1h and 40 min. Had to tune down graphic and close app so I can dodge properly because I swear Tree sentinel has 8k texture on them (jk, I didn't know shjt, my rig just suck ok). The only difference is that I don't really run far away from Tree sentinel, I just stand there and wait for it to charge at me and just dodge attacks and punish. This game on PC needs some help because performance is not good on medium rig.

its funny how often asmon tries to fish for the jump attack but the opening is easily big enough for 2 light attacks XD he is so used to the powerstance helbard jump attacks he cant stop it
jump attack does 1.5 times dmg and is faster animation. What he did was cheesy but smart play.

Anyone else had more success with the tree sentinels off horse? I find them easier without the horse

Wow that fight was pretty intense ! I ll never have the nerve to go through such kind of challenge in a FromSoft game, they are already damn hard if you play them normally XD
You can lead him to a ruin get on top of the building and it just so happens that you can hit him in the head but he can't hit you

Jump heavy attacks were definitely the way to go tho
I cheesed him with level 1 prisoner, put all my flask for fp and just prayed I took no damage.

I’ve never played a souls game before and I just uploaded a video on how to take him out as a naked wretch. Took me just over 2 hours to do it. The content you guys create really motivated me. Thank you!

Why i love gaming
I did this and was so proud of myself it took me so many tries. level one no horse. i think 61 or 62. soo many times i got within one hit. and with not extra items or heals i felt so complete after doing this. Thats how i wanted to start my new game and I fucking did it!

a spear is a pretty good weapon against this boss, and impaling thrust is pretty effective against him
I did it without taking damage once throughout the fight. I just needed like, 20-30 deaths to get used to him XD
I beat him using the wolf lone ashes and torrent and long sword at level 13

Beat him at lvl 20 on horseback. Super easy

I've never played a souls game before and I wanted to challenge myself so i beat it as a prisoner before any levelups. I fought it quite differently, I now notice that I didn't get as many attacks off of my dodges as I should've, but i beat it pretty much hitless. Took my quite long but I got a lot more familiar with the controls of the game.
Well when i first played elden ring i beated that guy at 1 xD cause i thougt i had to do it, sick shit but was cool

Yeah it’s not the hard.
Dunno how long it took baldie to do this cause i wasn't on stream, but i also tried the same and managed to down him in a little less than 30min worth of tries, ofcourse i'm also on my 2nd character after finishing the game :) i never tried going wretch in souls but i was annoyed when i saw this guy managing it and i felt insulted not trying as well.

I did this first try without getting hit on wretch at level 1. Just backstep until he charges you and repeat easy win
I realize sentinel turns his back when he charge and fully swing his weapon..but I think naked will give more agile

Isn't rolling into the attack the right way to do it though?
@@truepatrician4700 it is mostly, rolling towards a attack means more time since u roll against the attack rolling away u are following along the attack
You're supposed to roll into the attack to dodge.... Most of the bosses have sweet spots right up close and personal and all there attacks punish rolling away due to their range. Also if you are melee, if you don't roll in towards the boss, how do you attack? Bosses shouldnt take more than 5-7mins
It really depends, he was rolling into it at an angle not straight into it.
Bro you are suposed to roll into the attack, that way you get less hit frames because you don't follow the attack hitbox + you get next to the enemy at the end of the roll so you can attack him.
I'm genuinely confused, how is that a challenge? I did that shit lvl 1 aswell and it took me 15-20 mins
