      I watched several reviews because I needed a quiet pellet gun for furry vandals. Just getting a target gun with a target scope isn't going to do what I need because my varmints will all be a varying distances and at all compass directions from me. I picked a well respected name brand pellet rifle based on reviews touting the gun's accuracy and based on the reviews saying that brand was accurate. Mine isn't accurate even though I tried several brands and several weights and several styles of pellets, so I'm thinking I might get a PCP.
      I did see 6 or so reviews saying this Notos brand PCP is accurate. And then I watched one in which their PCP behaved like my pellet gun. That is: groups will be acceptable enough for my use, but at almost any time the group size will double and might even go back to being small enough to be acceptable again for a while, rinse repeat, rinse repeat.
      Then that reviewer said that was commonly their experience and that's what they've grown to expect., even from PCPs .
      Is that your experience? I can handle the price of the Notos with no issues. I can't handle expecting reliable, consistent accuracy *and not getting* reliable and consistent accuracy.
      Any ideas for me to consider? I need a gun that will consistently give me dime size groups at 60 feet. I'll get a first focal plane scope that has MIL dots and learn hold over, hold under via the MIL dots for various distances.
      Thank you for your time you take to reply.

    I just got my Umarex Notos a few days ago. The trigger was quite heavy. I didn't even feel the first stage of the two stage trigger. It worked and I had some fun time shooting.
    I lightened the trigger pull weight, turning clockwise (as you specified), vs. what the manual specifies. I do not have a trigger pull gauge. Currently my airgun adjustment is set at 1 1/2 turns, clockwise, from the original setting. It is quite nice.
    Thank you for your reviews and for giving us guidance about make adjustments. In this case, correcting what the manufacture specified in their manual.

    After watching this review I became intrigued with this carbine and bought one on Labor Day special. I put a Hawke scope on it with high mounts and set the hammer spring screw to 2 turns in from backed out all the way. Carbon copy of these results. The gun shoots lights out with H&N FTT with 5.53 head diameter. This gun is the ideal backyard pester and fun shooter. Major win by Umarex (and Snow Peak Airguns).

      @@AirgunDetectives All good here! Just found out my Sig Canebrake likes the RWS Club pellets, which I stockpile lots of - due it being my #1 replica pistol pellet of choice. Tested several different domed pellet types with the Canebrake lately - but none were really good. All cheap pellets of course - due the rifle not being a target gun either. But, it was very satisfying to see the RWS Clubs doing well (or at least well enough for me)..😁
      Yes. That Notos surely ticks several boxes for me. Way nice item for the price. 😊👍🏻

    I bought this gun and I agree with you, except on mine it would shoot fine with the single shot detail in the gun but with the magazine the gun would jam, the cocking lever would not feed the pellet had to stick a cleaning rod down the barrel to move the pellet back into the magazine, bought another magazine and it did the same thing. Purchased a maple custom products magazine from Canada and it works fine, I am not new to PCP I have 2 hatsan guns and 1 Benjamin, I am using crosman premier ultra magnum 14.3 gr. Pellets never had any jams on the other 2 guns, one is a semi auto. Anyhow thanks for the video!

    Great review JC. It’s not available here in the UK but if is was it would be a sub 12 Ft/Lb rifle, with a regulator setting of between 90 to 100 Bar (1305 - 1450 psi) The magazine is very Snowpeak CP1/CP2 which seems reliable and the barrel is obviously good quality with that accuracy.

We do have similar problems to your country with the ineptitude of our government, but not on your scale. I hope yourself and your family are well. It’s really nice to get other views on airguns, and I think it can help Airgunners in general, especially if the reviewer is impartial. I don’t have sponsors, and all our airguns (by myself and the wife) are owned, so long term reliability can be assessed. Of course no production is 100% reliable but some really are terrible. If this would have been out when I bought my Diana Bandit I wouldn’t have. This has everything done to it that I did to the bandit minis the reg. I could put an reg in it but it would take up valuable air space in a 50cc cylinder. All the reviews show this gun is accurate and consistent and about a 50 yard gun which makes a great hunting weapon and great for small shooters too. Nice review. Stay blessed. • @legendary7240
      @legendary7240 11 месяцев назад +1

      .30 is way too much power for a suburb. I had a .25 Gauntlet, way too powerful. Even my .22 Swarm Magnum is a bit much. This Notos is just under that, but lower profile. It does not look like those huge elephant guns. In case a neighbor calls the police, much easier to explain a Notos rather than a .30. Yes you also need this gun.

      L.V. I’m 63 retired and just getting into air gunning. I have several break barrels and co2 pistols. Now I’m thinking of getting into PCP, but I can’t afford a compressor along with a new PCP rifle & scope. I’m very interested in the hand pump you mentioned you had & use. Would you mind sharing what kind of pump exactly (link would appreciated if you can) and the cost please? I won’t mind doing the pumps since I’m new to PCP’s, I jus need a little guidance if you don’t mind please?

      @@michaelsalcido3736 You will enjoy a PCP, just know that it requires some more maintenance the a break barrel, but worth it.
      Since I am in SA I cannot get you direct links to where to buy it, but here is a video of Rick describing it. As he said, he bought it through amazon 3 years back for $170. Other sites might have it as well. This is the exact pump I have and it is working good. I only pump to 250 bar as that is the max of my rifles. Pump 50 strokes, rest for a while and let the pump cool off and pump another 50 stroke and so on.
