Like the guy said about Chelsea boots, not everyone can pull off everything. I think you have to have an inherent style that monk straps can come in too rather than just putting them on. They would be too loud for my style and would look too obvious/try hard on my part. But I know others who pull them off and no one would question it.
My father always told me to be distrustful of a man who referred to himself as a gentleman. It is for others to judge, not for you to announce of yourself. I feel the same way about loafers. I recently bought a pair of nice Goodyear-welted leather boots because I’m tired of having to buy new trainers every year of two and wasting perfectly good uppers because the soles are worn out. Noticed that they definitely get a lot of attention.

We all know that the fashion industry loves to dictate and influence looks for revenue to and from particular markets and companys. Her opinion is not end all be all. I’ve worn penny loafers for decades, since my high school days. I’m more likely to wear them when dressing up than even classic lace-ups. I think they dress up or down more readily than most shoes.
Eye Heart Sushi black or dark brown leather is the way to go. Both are great, but leather is more durable and a bit more versatile, either one, get a shoe protector to spray on to protect it from water and stains ;)

Women love shoes, hopefully less than Imelda Marcos. Shoes are really important to them and they judge other women by their shoes. But men don't care what women think of their shoes. They want comfortable functional shoes that last and they don't want to pay tons of money.
Although I am one generation older than the presenters, I typically agree with AW on the basics of menswear. Here are two areas where I disagree: First, some of the suits look too much like Pee-Wee Herman's suit. They appear to be too tight. The second is relevant to the video. I grew up in Arizona, and I've been around sockless men in loafers. After a while, the shoes stink. I mean they reek. Even just seeing some guy going sockless with shoes I can almost smell the aroma of foot stink and leather rot.
I was told by a gal that she liked my worn, scuffed black leather work shoes (she properly guessed that they were steel-toed, too!). Her reason? It was a good indication I had a job! (vs all the unemployed deadbeats she usually met).
Penny Loafers are ugly af, and all these formal shoes are uncomfortable😂thats why I hate wearing these type of shoes, and prefer wearing Sneakers👌(sorry if my english isn't that good, I'm from Germany😂)

Women love shoes, hopefully less than Imelda Marcos. Shoes are really important to them and they judge other women by their shoes. But men don't care what women think of their shoes. They want comfortable functional shoes that last and they don't want to pay tons of money.
This is exactly why I wear oxfords.

Although I am one generation older than the presenters, I typically agree with AW on the basics of menswear.
Here are two areas where I disagree:
First, some of the suits look too much like Pee-Wee Herman's suit. They appear to be too tight.
The second is relevant to the video. I grew up in Arizona, and I've been around sockless men in loafers. After a while, the shoes stink. I mean they reek. Even just seeing some guy going sockless with shoes I can almost smell the aroma of foot stink and leather rot.

Penny loafers are sooo unstylish
I was told by a gal that she liked my worn, scuffed black leather work shoes (she properly guessed that they were steel-toed, too!). Her reason? It was a good indication I had a job! (vs all the unemployed deadbeats she usually met).
Penny Loafers are ugly af, and all these formal shoes are uncomfortable😂thats why I hate wearing these type of shoes, and prefer wearing Sneakers👌(sorry if my english isn't that good, I'm from Germany😂)
Since you choose to watch the video, I can only assume you were at least curious. Since you stated that the aforementioned footwear was all "Uncomfortable" and didn't mention any shoes you wore in particular., (a sneaker is footwear, but not a shoe......to me) what type of shoes do you enjoy wearing ?
