Town of Salem 2 has different factions in it.
The Coven: The Dreamweaver, Enchanter, Illusionist, Medusa, Conjuror, Jinx, Ritualist, Coven Leader, Hex Master, Witch, Necromancer, Poisoner, Potion Master, Voodoo Master and Wildling
The Town: Coroner, Investigator, Lookout, Psychic, Seer, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Deputy, Trickster, Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Mayor, Monarch, Prosecutor, Bodyguard, Cleric, Crusader, Trapper, Admirer and Amnesiac
The Neutral Apocalypse: Baker, Famine, Berserker, War, Plaguebearer, Pestilence, Soul Collector and Death
Neutral Evil: Executioner, Jester, Doomsayer, Pirate
Neutral Killing: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf
Pipe, the best Jester strat is to whisper the first guy who whispers literally anyone and just say “what?” to them, and boom, you’re confirmed “Wildling” … works every time.

my fav jester win ever was during old socialite era and I said "go on 4" (the revealed mayor) immediately when night chat started in a confirmed rit game
Ngl the jester role has always been my favorite one to play in any game, It's just so fun to mess around with almost no repercussions lol
Jester is the Creative mode, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Just the existence of the Jester also gives some crucial claim space for when evils mess up, making people second guess themselves, and perhaps innoing something they shouldn't
Jester strategy: use a tos1 style will.

I once straight claimed arsonist, going N1 - 1 N2 - 2, etc, as Jester and got hit by Coven N2 with my vest then was hung day 3. Did the same thing in the same lobby a second game in a row and won again.
My favorite jest strat that I pulled was the whisper strat
I only whisper. No talking in day chat. I flirt, I ask questions, I make friends, I make enemies. All through whispers. It’s gotten me killed a couple times but other times they assume I’m a vet. Usually they’ll get tired of my harassment and hang me. 💀
It’s cheap. It’s dirty. And I love it.

Still think you should try the jester strat of claiming TI and checking the same guy over and over only changing the format of the will or changing which TI
I did that once in tos1. Dunno if they noticed. Spelt Sheriff wrong, eventually switched it out for investigator still with sheriff will, etcetera. Still got lynched eventually tho
I remember when I started to play tos1 my first game was jester, I was 1. I claimed sheriff and lucky me picked the jailed person on accident. When I got upped I just went "rookie mistake I'm new :( " that was my first and fastest win ever since.
I always love claiming things that are impossible, like you could claim old seer from when you could visit the same person twice or you can claim jugg helping people get the tos1 jugg and pest attacking each other achievement.
my favorite jester play was claiming socialite that saw 5 different people attempt to visit someone that all got rejected

My Jester strat is to behave like a coven. I usually claim TI that has no useful info like giving info that we already know.
Ive played tons of tos2 and even more tos1 and I feel like somethings gone awry with Jester.
Im seeing more and more games recently where players just stay silent, get voted up and guiltied because they dont claim, making them win.
Its essentially a full-proof strat as you cant argue to inno that. Now I dont know if this was a thing that happened in tos1 much but I never really saw it, just a shame that the role that can cause so much chaos has been used a lot weaker recently, thats why its so great seeing you play it well, causing the chaos it deserves.
Sidenote: I despise (!!!) the entire "give jest the win" idea. If jester has played so badly that its obvious not just that theyre evil, but specifically that theyre jester, they dont deserve that win imo, but maybe thats just me
Tbf, at least in the games that I played TOS1 had a lot of giving jest the win, even encountered people that thought it was cruel not to give them the win even when they played obvious Jest (or outright claimed it on stand) or when they didn’t even act sus.
When I played ToS1 I'd see most "give jest their win's" happening in the endgame if jest somehow survived. Then people would just hope the jest haunted the other team. Jester roulette.

The only roles with priority are tpow. There's no other order.
@minepose98 it got changed lol. I ended up playing a game afterwards and realized it was reworked. It used to prioritize tpow then tp then ti then ts whether it was intended or a bug from importing the btos2 versions of several roles I have no idea I just know that it had and that even 7 others had noticed the priorities it had.

One of my favorite jester strats was when I just played really passive, just claimed "tk" when asked for vfa, and then when they suspicious and up you, say "Okay, put me down and I'll give you all 10$ steam giftcard" "Just let me live" haha nobody innod :)

Oh yeah, after some thought... I think some role needs to have overhaul to make every games at the very least last to night 4. Idk what but i think Day 2 need to have something like eclipses like in betterros2 mod, so all day abilities just work on day 3. Huh... Yeah, i think some roles needs to have more... Steps? I have no clue right now, but i think i need to take a look at how tos game could last until night 8 or 10.
Yesterday i made a play claiming seer and a shroud died and i said a random person was friends. Town was reasonably sus did but didn't insta vote me out. Very funny game when i won

Pipe you could claim Coro on medusa match to have a better chance to appear legit. You could fake or cc a tpow role.

blue vigi is serial killer because sk is like a bright blue
light blue vigi is shroud because shroud is a light blue
purple vigi is coven because coven is purple

TOS1 lazy & boring All Any gamble: Day 2 say "if no leads please hang me, I am Jester. more likely to hit evil than town" -- which isn't true since there's so many town in AA in TOS2 vs TOS1 (no real numbers, just how it feels)

I woulda totally haunted 11 in that game. The guy who publicly calls you out as a jester but then still guiltied you.

@@Vestige_it truly depends on the Jester's judgment in that end. Usually a Jester will go for town powers OR people that try to call out the Jester game; basically gimping their chance of winning.
Same for Executioners tormenting, town powers or someone trying to sabotage their win.
If I was Pipton here, either the Jailor (that was known) or 11,in that order.
Idk if you've already done the "sorry i was afk" strat, maybe pair it with a "sorry admirer for rejecting, i was afk" even with no admirer.

@nekomaige6272 psy got reworked it is now the same as in tos 1 so doesn't work anymore however you could do reverse pretend like you didn't know it was reworked.
Someone did this last night. I laughed as I was a Doom who innoed.
My most recent and successful gesture win was when I claimed silenced when asked for alignment. And then upon receiving the innocent verdict I told everybody thank you for innoving. Which immediately got everybody to vote me back up and hang me

Silly Jest Strat: Claim Tracker and "track" dead people to people they didn't claim to visit in their will.
(Eg: If 5 dies and their will says they went to 4, "track" them to 3)
This definitely was a very... Interesting game. Whole lotta nothing happening.

I have saw like 3 times jetser being not hang coz they faked TI and got it rigth also twice they do that and then we hang them 1 coz i was exe so i keep pushing and the second coz faked seer friends me an apoc and a townie but just after pb transformed into pestilence and i was hanged as bers and they thoug he was pestilence that helped a lot
Man, I can tell why you hated this strat, it never would've worked if jailor was even mildly competent. Depending on other players being bad is always such a shot in the dark
lowkey i reckon that jester doesnt belong in the game (or at least in all any); in most instances its obvious who the jest is and its never worth not hanging a jester. like you *can* do some funny things but 99% of the time you can just late claim or not claim or go afk or any number of boring things
