Thanks for this. Parker was the place when I was young growing up in southern CA. Fast forward 30 years and now I’m on the east coast. I can’t wait to move back west when I retire. The east coast can’t even compare to AZ. Great weather, open space, fantastic off roading, guns, and freedom. Everything the east coast is lacking.
Lived in Havasu in the 70's, what a blast, Jr. High and High School......town has definitely grown since my last visit in 80. Plan is to go back (Home) and retire there.
When I was a kid we used to sit at the end of the dock at the Nautical waiting for someone to adk if we wanted to get a tow. Lots of nice people in the mid sixties. I moved there in 1965.
I lived there in LHC for 11 years. I was there 25 years ago. It has changed so much since I was there!! The place on the island was the Nautical Inn back then. TV stars were there in the early 70's. I saw the London Bridge being built!
I've lived in Lake Havasu City for around 25 years, pretty much my entire life (I turn 27 in December). It's a nice, mostly peaceful and pretty active place, lots of space for watersports, off-roading, hiking, etc. We get pretty slammed with tourists and travelers during the holidays, and plenty of college kids partying during spring break. As far as housing, there's no shortage of beautiful homes and spacious properties for families, older married couples, or just people with higher levels of income looking to purchase vacation properties or second homes. There's quite a bit to see and experience here, pretty unique when compared to other cities of similar size in different areas of the state/country. If you (anyone reading this) ever get a chance to visit, I recommend it. It might just become your second home.
@@leticiaurbach1720 I am from Chicago IL. I have spent the last month checking out the area. The locals are very helpful if u visit ask them. When I think of Arizona's beach, I think of Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Having said that, Lake Havasu looks like it would be fun nowadays. I have not been there in years, and it may be time to check it out again.
Great video as always! We were there on April 23rd-24th to participate in a "Teach Kids How to Fish" event. Then, we had a chance to check out the shops and restaurants adjacent to the London Bridge (ate at the Blue Chair) and met with some friends at the Turtle Bar. Funny, I had the same fish and chips meal you showed in this video. Wondering if you were there at the same time.
Having moved to Lake Havasu in 1965 I'm glad I got to enjoy Havasu when it was really cool before the bridge. There is a book called "Livin at the End of Old 95" by Rick Kingsbury. If anyone wants t read about the greatest five years you have to read the book. All the way from Miller's Folly Crazy Ed's Mundell's to the Lake Havasu High School's first year undefeated football team it was the best. I can't thank Rick enough for the book and the memories of a missing finger he lost. Nothing since had been nearly as as cool as Havasu in the begining.
That bridge is historic. It came from England.Bought at auction by Robert P. McCulloch At an auction for the bridge,he winning bid came from Robert P. McCulloch, American entrepreneur and chairman of McCulloch Oil Company. McCulloch paid $2,460,000-plus shipping costs of around $240,000-to bring the bridge over, piece by piece.
RUclips must have heard me talk about my move back home to Phoenix lol. First time I got a video of Arizona, since I’ve been in Montana. No place like home.....Phoenix I’m coming home!!!
I too am from Montana! Anaconda is my home... but I am planning on moving here to LHC in the near future, but will keep my house here in MT for the hotter months
I moved here 15 years ago and love Lake Havasu City, AZ. It's paradise in the desert! Arizona has been voted best 2A state by Guns and Ammo for more than a decade. Molon Labe!
Stayed in Havasu City back in the 70’s when I worked at the Ford Proving Ground in nearby Kingman. Much different place. Played golf almost every morning at a course named Stonebridge (?,) Anyway, enjoyed the video, nice job.
Bill Williams National Wildlife Refuge, Optimist Park (city park) and all the fun around the lake. A real playground spot for the whole family. I sure enjoyed our 2 night visit to Lake Havasu City. Gorgeous place with decent restaurants, fast food chains (El Pollo Loco for Mexican marinated roast chicken is a favorite of ours) and of course, the pretty lake.
As an ole veteran of traveling Highway 95 to Lake Havasu, you may want to pay a LOT of attention to all of the speed traps that Arizona Highway Patrol has on Highway 95. All of those speeding ticket fines definitely add to solving local municipal budgetary woes.
The problem with Lake Havasu City, beyond the unbelievable heat in the summer, is the above-ground power lines. The original planners didn't see the need to bury power/communication lines and it makes the views toward the lake unsightly. There's a reason modern neighborhoods put all this wiring/fiber underground.
Having lived in that area for 27 years (up river an hour), you might be interested in knowing that Lake Havasu City is probably 98% Caucasian and EXTREMELY conservative politically. Chump carried that county (Mohave County) by 75%. No exaggeration. Lake Havasu City is the largest of the four large cities in the county which is the fifth largest county (size-wise) in the country. The states of Connecticut and Rhode Island would fit in the county. The population is spread out and much of it is quite poor. High crime, low educational level, low taxes, low standard of living, poor health care, low wages. LOTS of gun-toters. Brutally hot in the summers. Outside of Death Valley, this is the hottest part of North America. Wonderfully mild winters but VERY windy. Most residents are from Southern California and they brought their “values” with them. Population of Lake Havasu is 50k+ and booming.
Ayyy! It's great to see a vid showing off Havasu! And you picked a good time when the palo verdes are in bloom. If you ever have the chance you should really try Angelina's italian restaurant, it's on El Camino off of London Bridge road, it's really consistently good but you just have to make a reservation ahead of time or else you'll have to wait a long time.
I just discovered this channel and I'm hooked! I love your attention to detail and how you showed your route on a map. Also thank you for all the information about the different establishments you stopped by on the way; I'm marking them down for my own trip. I did pass through this area when I was driving from Tucson to Northern California back in 2010. I was driving through at night so I didn't get to really stop and experience the area. But I was driving on Highway 95 along the Colorado River at dusk, and the deepening dark blue sky was one of the most beautiful things I ever saw. I really want to do a trip out there and experience it for real! I was originally thinking of going in July 2021 but yeah, way too hot! What do you think is a good time of the year to go, when places aren't too overcrowded but aren't totally dead either?
I've actually walked across London Bridge (its one of many bridges that have been built on the site it came from, and all bridges on this site are named London Bridge). It was sold as it was being replaced by a new bridge. My older brother was joining the Merchant Navy, and he was going to the school in Gravesend, which is just below London to the south-east. Me and my family came down from Manchester to drop my brother off, then went into London to visit some of the places, and crossing the Thames on London Bridge was one of the things we did😊

At an auction for the bridge,he winning bid came from Robert P. McCulloch, American entrepreneur and chairman of McCulloch Oil Company. McCulloch paid $2,460,000-plus shipping costs of around $240,000-to bring the bridge over, piece by piece.
i love all of mohave county! its so gorgeous. i hope it stays quaint and not over run by captalistic interest
beautiful! never heard of this place. its now on my bucketlist.

Thank you for all the information !! Heading to lake Havasu for spring break at the end of the month
You are awesome my friend. Thank you for all you do.
Excellent, motivational and educational... a must see.
I've been to Mas Pas passing through. Such a neat store, and the owner is so nice.
I moved here 15 years ago and love Lake Havasu City, AZ. It's paradise in the desert! Arizona has been voted best 2A state by Guns and Ammo for more than a decade. Molon Labe!
Wow , who cares what guns and ammo rates a place to live, dillusional
Stayed in Havasu City back in the 70’s when I worked at the Ford Proving Ground in nearby Kingman. Much different place. Played golf almost every morning at a course named Stonebridge (?,) Anyway, enjoyed the video, nice job.
Great video! Visited Lake Havasu 2018 beeing on vacation from Sweden. We had a great stay and i hope to come back to this lovely town.
My kids want to visit Sweden! We can’t wait for COVID-19 restrictions to finally finish so we can visit!!😀

You are welcome🙂
Bill Williams National Wildlife Refuge, Optimist Park (city park) and all the fun around the lake. A real playground spot for the whole family. I sure enjoyed our 2 night visit to Lake Havasu City. Gorgeous place with decent restaurants, fast food chains (El Pollo Loco for Mexican marinated roast chicken is a favorite of ours) and of course, the pretty lake.
Nice one !
Great video !
Watching from Japan 👍
What a nice and inspiring video! Thank you
As an ole veteran of traveling Highway 95 to Lake Havasu, you may want to pay a LOT of attention to all of the speed traps that Arizona Highway Patrol has on Highway 95. All of those speeding ticket fines definitely add to solving local municipal budgetary woes.
Well, don't speed. Problem solved.
@@johnbob4545 If you say you dont speed at all ever; you are a liar!
@@gigiis526 Haven't had a ticket in over 30 years.

Watching from Las Vegas. Nice sunset in Havasu while driving 🤙
I live here and love it! Shhhhh, don’t tell.

@@tc9992 haha! Let’s go!
I spent last march in lake havasu enjoyed it may go back after the reminder of how much I liked it😂
The problem with Lake Havasu City, beyond the unbelievable heat in the summer, is the above-ground power lines. The original planners didn't see the need to bury power/communication lines and it makes the views toward the lake unsightly. There's a reason modern neighborhoods put all this wiring/fiber underground.
Looks like a nice place to visit in the winter.
I love the look of that place. From Manchester UK.
Looks nice and all. Im here in the u.k but one thing i noticed, Im 14 mins in and i have not seen one brown person, that gives me the chills
Looks nice and all. Im here in Africa but one thing i noticed, Im 14 mins in and I have not seen one white person, that gives me the chills
They're a rare sight to see. Unless you're talking about Mexicans, we got those.
Angelinas is definitely awesome! Make reservations is the right advice.
Thanks for adding maps. they are very helpful!!
@Jan Brady Okay thanks! What is it like in April and May?
I've actually walked across London Bridge (its one of many bridges that have been built on the site it came from, and all bridges on this site are named London Bridge). It was sold as it was being replaced by a new bridge. My older brother was joining the Merchant Navy, and he was going to the school in Gravesend, which is just below London to the south-east. Me and my family came down from Manchester to drop my brother off, then went into London to visit some of the places, and crossing the Thames on London Bridge was one of the things we did😊
Love Lake Havasu! ❤️
I love Lake Havasu I go there 3-4 times a year
Been living in LHC 35 years, and still love it, even though it grew to double in population. Great video!
Great video Job 💖🍀💫!
Hello Tammy xx, How are you doing today? Its really nice having you on here.. I saw your profile on here and i think we definitely are on the same page on many levels. When I moved there when the City had less than 500 people. I lived in Havasu when it truly cool.
Great review of my home turf. I liked and am already a sub. Good luck on the continued growth of the channel.👍🤙
I'll be there tomorrow. Made it to Holbrook and decided to spend the night here
A lot colder in Holbrook than you thought it should be in AZ, isn't it? lol
@@elultimo102 big change in Havesu lol
I live here in Lake Havasu, getting too crowded here with out of state people, between snowbirds in winter and boat people in summer. I don't even like taking my boat out on the lake in summer unless it's midweek.
Wassup Jeff. I was there in Havasu 2 weeks ago for my birthday. Had a great time with the family.
I lived in Parker and Lake Havasu City two of my sons were born in lake Havasu City. It's hot but the water is nice.
