The egress /ingress space has diminished with the doors, which means you have to go vertical to get in and out, as the door not having its full OE outward swing is totally eliminated.

Hello, I would like to know what are you doing with the door wires. if you could show that in a future video. thank you. That's the only thing stopping me from buying one.
Hi , only 3 wires get extended from inside the door panel . Everything else remains factory . The kit comes with detailed instructions on which to extend along with wiring .
How many cycles do you get before you need to change the shocks? What happens when the shocks deplete, will your door not stay up?
Hi , vertical doors inc. Makes really good shocks. We haven’t had a shock go out on any of the 180 C8s we have done. We have also been installing this kit on c7s since 2014. We replaced one shock on the 500+ of those we have done. The door will slowly come down when the shock goes out.

Hopefully you see this question. Once you install this kit, can it be easily reversed? Meaning, can I go back to my original doors if I have a change of heart years from now?

I have a question about the piece you cut out. What is the purpose of that small piece??? It looks like it has a hole for a screw or bolt??? Still very nice. I'll drive across the country to have your careful hands work on my baby C8.
Hi , thank you! There was a small bolt there before . The fender is so small that it gets plenty of support with out it though.
My question is the longevity, will you have door problems after so many years or openings/closings?
We have been installing these kits since 2007 on all Corvettes . Im sure you have seen old corvettes with saggy factory doors. Difference is that this kit is 4x more sturdy then factory hinges and you can adjust if they ever sag.
What is the minimum amount of clearance when opening the door is needed to lift the door up? In other words, if I'm in a tight space, can I open the door 10 inches and lift up?

What kind of tape do you use?
Is there any paint required and if so do you match the OEM Torch Red? Can my Chevy dealer install these doors on my C8 since I live in WA state? What is the installation cost and how long is the car in the shop at your location? I might just drive down to TX for this.

Will this ruin the value selling it back to the dealer? If so is it easy to install it back to normal?
Hi , its 100% reversable. It’s similar to adding a set of wheels and tires or anything for that matter. It won’t devaule it but most dealers won’t pay extra for it.

Do you offer automatic open/close scissor (Lambo) doors for the C-8 Corvette?
Hi , we don’t . We wouldn’t recomend it even if they did start making automatic lambo doors. That would requiere an electric actuator and if it ever jams up , the door will be stuck at what ever position its in. Thats why Aventadors and Mclarens also have gas struts.
Do these void your warranty?
Hi , we’ve done over 230 C8s now and we haven’t heard of any of them voiding their warranty. We’re pretty much just replacing door hinges which has nothing to do with main components of vehicle.
What happens to the wires going to the door ?
You must extend the SRS Sensor and the door handle switch wires

is it heavy , how to avoid bouncing ?
It works similar to opening your hood . You can avoid bouncing by slowing down right before all the way down .

Corvette needs to offer them from the factory
On and almost $200,000 Z06 07 package they should come from the factory. That's like a quarter million dollar sports car. Now granted it's not no 3 or 400,000 Lamborghini but still that's a very expensive sports car and it should be offered from the factory. If not on the regular at least on the Z06. It should be offered
These the type of dudes that will never have an exotic in their life yet they cry when they see honda civics with lambo doors like they really livin that “hypercar life” and can judge what others do to their vehicles lol
