    In Jamaica Center you can also take a Metro to midtown Manhattan. It's the E line. New fares from 01.01.2023: Airtrain 8,25 dollar Metro ride 2,75 dollar = 11 dollars in total to go from JFK to midtown Manhattan with the metro.

    Great video. Getting to Manhattan can be challenging to people who haven't been there before. Well done.

    “Soon” (which in NYC parlance is sometime before you die) you will also have access to Grand Central by LIRR. Will run separately of trains to Penn so you will have to know which train goes where.

      As of May 2023 you can in fact take the LIRR to Grand Central from Jamaica. I did it the other day!

      @USA-RAIL-GUIDE-2001  2 года назад +2

      Yes, Hotel Hayden is located at 127 W 28th Street between 6th & 7th Avenues, New York City, NY 10001. It is walkable about 10 minutes from the LIRR New York Penn Station.

    • @USA-RAIL-GUIDE-2001
      @USA-RAIL-GUIDE-2001  2 года назад +1

      NY Subway E Line directly connects between Jamaica Station and Queens Plaza Station. If you want to go to 21st-Queensbridge Station, you need to transfer from E Line to F Line.

    I SO wish that people still knew how to dress like they did in the 1950's and 1960's? (A curse of being old, i guess?)

      Yeah nothing wrong with stiff highly flammable clothing. I’ve seen film from New York from that era. Looks pretty grim. I’m also not so sure how to feel about the racism and sexism of the era

      @@MrJimheeren I was not getting political, simply saying that I think people in the 1950's looked more classy than they do now, of ALL sexes and races!

      Rob, if you feel this way, perhaps you should find a way to go back in time to a past era where this kind of clothing existed, and stay there.
