I love what you've started there. I've not made a C2C yet but have wanted to for a while. It's great to see you Clare. Your haircut is very pretty. Your eggs benedict and Chai look delish.
I wanted to make a C2C blanket forever. I would watch videos and get so confused. I kept going back and trying over and over and my brain felt scrambled until it finally clicked and I loved it. I just found it to be so easy after I got the hang of it. I did a very large one last winter in the color Time Square. It turned out so pretty and so soft and warm.
Learning can be frustrating, however it’s an achievement. You sound like many of us with learning. Your sample is nice and encouraging to the audience.
Made several C2C using Caron Simply Soft for most of them but now exploring other brands of yarn. Had to watch several videos to get what I was supposed to do. When I found the tutorial by The Purple Poncho it finally clicked for me.
@@CrochetwithClare Sorry, I don’t really have one to recommend. I usually use Stitchfiddle to design my own or use a simple grid pattern I find on Pinterest. But there a lot of great designs on Ravelry. I want to make Evelyn and Peter’s Daisy Day Throw soon. Good luck with your crafting adventures!
It's so good to see you! C2C took me many tries to understand. Then like you it " clicked". Jayda in stitches was the creator that finally made it so I could understand. You got this 😊
Have not tried corner to corner. But now I will try. You are an excellent teacher an if you’re trying that’s good enough for me 😃 I think your little sample looks good. Make another with the bigger hook. If you made a tutorial I’d do it for sure. So happy to see you ♥️Can’t wait to see your finished project 😃
Great to see you. I have a C2C blanket in progress (it has been for while 😂) using cake yarn. I only used the shades of blue in the cake and removed the neutral colour. This yarn I made into a hat.
I don't do c2c for the exact same reasons you stated. I'm like you, cannot wrap my head around it. My version of a c2c is your granny stitch on the angle. Lolol would love to see a simplified version of c2c. Loved this video
hi!! Hope you are well, glad im not the only one, its such a weird stitch pattern haha. I will see if i can learn it well enough so I can teach you how to do it.

I adore C2C. I have used ombre yarns (my favorite), striping yarns, have done solids and made stripes, etc. I have not done the ones that have graphics in them. It took me forever to get going on C2C. I had a psychological block against it. I had tried it with a tutorial that was really horrible and it traumatized me! Then I watched Jayda in Stitches and The Secret Yarnery. They both are amazing in teaching and I got it!!! Now C2C is my favorite go-to stitch! I love it because you can make a rectangle or a square, but whatever it is, it just closes up beautifully and it's magic! 🩶
Hi 👋 I’ve made a few C2C blankets. I’ve just finished a C2C blanket for my King bed in Mandala Ombré It took me about 3months with a 3 week break for a sore wrist. I did 2ch instead of 3 and 5 instead of 6. To make it more closed and I love it. Got it on my bed just in time for the freezing weather here in Bendigo Victoria. I hope you enjoy making one 🤞
I get you. Grief changes us. If you do pick it up, I would love for you to add blue (if possible) that is my favourite colour :) Thank you for supporting my channel since forever xx
I really enjoy C2C blankets & crochet a lot of them for cat blankets for our local pet shelter with scrap yarn. Just today I finished off my Felix Blanket which is a very clever twist on the C2C blanket & looks stunning in scrap yarn! You'll find a series of tutorials on YT of the Felix Blanket. Christa at The Secret Yarnery did some great beginner tutorials on C2C as well as a gorgeous gingham blanket using C2C. Yes, I'd definitely change to a bigger hook to give it more drape & softness. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
Hi Clare. Yes I’ve done c2c. I’ve done square and rectangular and triangle. I watched Christa’s tutorials at the Secret Yarnery mostly along with a few others and made dishcloths as I was learning. I have yet to make a blanket. It’s a great technique to know but should I decide to make something else I’m sure I’d need a refresher, lol.😊
Hi Claire, it took me a few tries on the c2c, but once i got it, i have made many blankets, i am even making 8 x 8 squares out of my straps. I think you should use a bigger hook , but not too big, then you see the spaces. I use a 5.0mm
I do like the C2C. I wouldn't frog that unless you want to continue that and make something out of it. I also don't like to take a table if the establishment is busy. Here in the US it deprives the server from tips, too. If I do stay longer I'll add to the tip to make up for it.
I know I couldn't be the only one, here is Australia it's not common practice to tip the server. I was going to keep the sample piece so I know what it supposed to look like 😀
When I first crocheted a corner 2 corner it took me a while to figure out which way I was going. And if I put it down for awhile it took me some time to figure out how to proceed again.
C2C is working from one corner to another, not a particular stitch. It can be made with other stitches. You have tutorials for granny stitch C2C that I have used several times
I've never done c2c and it doesn't really appeal to me. A few years ago there was a baby girl on her way in the family. I'd never made a baby outfit but I thought I'd give it a go. I found a pattern and videos for a bonnet, dress, bloomers and booties. My goodness, I just about gave up on the dress because I was having such a hard time with the yoke. I was determined and very grateful for the videos. I think the name of the RUclips channel is crochet for baby. Anyways, with yours, it looks like you've cut the yarn already. I wouldn't bother unraveling/frogging it, I'd just start over. You've got this, you go girl, practice makes perfect 👌.
Thank you for sharing l have made a shrug using C2C but made it in treble instead of double crochet free pattern by crochet by Selina Veronica God bless ♥️
Love C2C You will get addicted once you're comfortable. Thanks for your honest sharing. Love hearing from you!
Thank you!
Di DI looks great! So good to see you again on my screen!
Thank you Natalie hope you are well 😊
Find the side to side version. Much easier. So good to see you ❤
Thanks for the suggestion! I didn't even know there was a side to side version.
Like you I’ve never tried or been interested in c2c, but I like the look of that little swatch you’ve done!
Thank you!
Nice to see you!

Yay for having it click for you!
It's a lovely colour you're using. I found the c2c easy, it was the granny square that took me 30 years to master.
Thank you, yes the granny square took me years yo master too!

I love C2C and have done many graphgans. Congratulations on having it click. That was the secret for me, it just had to ‘click’. 😊
Thank you for watching, I love the graphgans, do you have a favourite designer?

Hi Clare. I have made many shawls using this stitch and would just stop when the triangle was big enough. 😊
That is such a great idea and I bet it make s a pretty shawl too. Thank you for watching.
It’s one of the first I learned. Now it’s a go to. I use everything you mentioned for yarn.

Yes, it is like MAGIC! It's great when you can find a crochet teacher that explains it in a way you understand 🥰
I just loved catching up with you Clare❤ you are so easy to chat to and great company we will not let it go so long between catchups 😜
You're the best! I recon we could chat all day and into the night haha. Yes, definitely won't let it go so long next time.
My friend taught me to crochet 9yrs ago but I taught her to do C2C 😂 I love doing c2c n always use a bigger hook than yarn says.
The apprentice becomes the teacher, love it! Thanks for the tip.

@theastewart6721 Oh, a dishcloth is a great idea as a practice! Thanks for the suggestions 😀
You’re very welcome Clare!💗
I suggest a larger hook so it isn’t as dense and will have more drape. I’m making “scraptastic” blankets that are turning out to be fantastic!
Thank you for the advice ❤️

l couldn`t get it till l watched Jayda in stitches` tutorial l would use a 5mm w/ that yarn
I'll have to check out her tutorial
Undo it! It's my go to type of blanket 👍👍
The yarn wasn't cheap either lol 😆 I can see them being addictive. Have you done the ones with pictures in them?
@@CrochetwithClare No way, I'm not insane🤦♂😂
hahhaaaaaaaa
Clare I could’ve sworn you did a tutorial on C2C! Like a shawl or something? Anyway good to see you! Haha
Hello, nope, not me 😁
I just can’t get it down. I’ve tried 2 times and watched multiple videos. Maybe I’ll get it one day.
One day it will click, looks like form people comments that I will need to learn it more and make a tutorial on how to do.
Hi lady. We hope you well. 👋. We are having almost 100 degree weather here in Tennessee. 🥵

Oh no, that's frustrating when the pattern is hard 😕
Yes, I agree, I'm going to keep the sample because I think it will help me start the next one.
This Aussie girl loves C2C after being afraid to try it using 4 seasons pure wool with a 5.5mm hook. It is lighter and lacey.
I will try that size hook next time
Yeah keep going for a poncho
The C2C would be fantastic as a poncho.
Pretty....long time Clare😊❤
I know!! Too long.
Juan the yarn addict has a tutorial on c2c crochet, and much more, on you tube
thank you for the information, I might need to watch that when I go to restart another one.
Try hooked by Robin.
Thank you 😊

Hello, it was fantastic! I need to make a video so I can share the pretty yarns that I purchased.
Don’t you have a c2c rectangle?
I do with the granny stitch 😊
