I’m an older man learning to do my daughters’ heads after my wife passed from COVID last year. She was an AMAZING stylist and braider. I had a few months feeling like a failure. Everyone just keep on reminding you that your spouse was perfect and that you don’t measure up to her talents. They mean well and I agree that she was the best. But I’m not going to be the type of dad who gives up or who makes my sisters, mother, grandmothers, cousins step in to do the hair care for me. I’m their only parent now so I have to learn to be both mom and dad as best I can. I studied your videos at night for 3 weeks on repeat with a Barbie to help me. I can do it now because of you. I’m very slow but I can do it. And it looks good. My mother thought my older sister did it! My sister thought our mother did it! My youngest sister hugged me and said she is shocked I did all three of my daughters by myself. My girls helped me buy the hair and plan the styles of course but I did the box braids. I’m grateful to you for your patience and your clear instructions. I’m grateful to you for making these tutorials. My youngest daughter laughed for the FIRST TIME in one year. THANK YOU!!!

This is probably the best box braids video I’ve seen so far! And the fact that you had so much fun doing this made it more enjoyable to watch! Thanks sis 💪🏾❤️💁🏾♀️
I started doing my own box braids back 2014 on my own head and was surprised at how well I did it. I will say i come from a family of women who are braiders and natural hair enthusiasts so it was innate. Been doing my own hair since I was 12 and I’m 35 now
I've been doing my own braids and cornrows for years, i understand you have to have patience for this type of work, wish i could put up a picture for you to see, i do my own nails as well. since i was 12 im 39 lol, but i just took my braids out two days ago and it took me 5 days out of 10 years lol really my younger child will be 12 lol, i hate doing hair but love it at the same time. 👀 this video makes me want to do it again, but bigger this time. I end up having knots or dreadlocks in my head for leaving my breads in for two months, man that was stressful. But im good now, love the video and for the motivation very beautiful love.
I would definitely try this...thank you for this tutorial I was wondering why my hair wasn’t aligned right it’s because of the way I was parting the top section. 🥰😘😍

Thank you so much. I wish I could do it for you. I was in a great mood to do it and I was just moving non-stop. Even when I was tired, I was still in the rhythm lol 😆
Beautiful. Thanks girl, this was a video I really needed. Couldn't just comprehend how to make the first knot....so difficult. But now...muaaah! Thanks girl!
Love those. Would you still part the front like that if you don't want a middle part? I've taken your advice and braided the ends after all the hair was installed and it was faster.
Yes i would still part my hair this way even if I was goinv to do a side part. And I have been telling everyone that doing the hair that way makes it much easier.
Hi- I just did my hair the same size, but knotless and it took me two days. However, I am still confused as to how you hold the hair to start braiding. I need to practice, practice, practice! Your hair looks GREAT!
Jessica Matthews 👋🏾 it took me 3 days to figure it out. I had to position my arm a different way, to feed the braids in. Just keep practicing... good luck! I practiced for 3 days before I started the braiding process.
@@vivettewilsonbrown I feel you. Not to be shady or anything but I also used a different method because I wanted to make the braiding process not to take long. I also have a video up. I promise you, If you prepare in advance, your braiding process wont take that long. In total, it took me about 14 hours to get my braids done, not bad if you ask me for a DIY.
Girllllll I currently have box braids that I did on Saturday and Sunday. I'm tired to even edit 😂😂😂😂😂 but I tried another method to grip but I failed and stuck to using my original gripping method. I always want to achieve that size but I fail unless I do knotless braids.

Lol...congratulations on your pregnancy. Thank you so much for watching 😍😍😍
A dad in a million. Your daughters are proud of you.
This is probably the best box braids video I’ve seen so far! And the fact that you had so much fun doing this made it more enjoyable to watch! Thanks sis 💪🏾❤️💁🏾♀️
Aaaawwww, I appreciate it. I wish I felt that enthusiastic every time I have to do my hair lol.
❤I love how you show step by step to start the braids from end to end.❤❤
I started doing my own box braids back 2014 on my own head and was surprised at how well I did it. I will say i come from a family of women who are braiders and natural hair enthusiasts so it was innate. Been doing my own hair since I was 12 and I’m 35 now
Really appreciate the video! Definitely used ur method and it gave my braids a more professional look😀👍🤩
I appreciate you. Thanks for watching
I came from the natural hair group post 🌸💪🏽🔥
Thanks so much for your loyal support. It’s highly appreciated.
Same

I been watching you for awhile. Love ur videos. U did a nice job
I appreciate you. Thanks for the love.
Aaaww, thank u so much. You should start doing it again and you can tag me on ig with your beautiful pictures so I can see. 😊😍
Your tutorials are always on point. You have saved me soooo much money lol. Thanks for sharing.
Aawww, you're so welcome. Thanks for watching

Aaawww. Thank you so so much. You lifted my spirit 🙏 🙌
I would definitely try this...thank you for this tutorial I was wondering why my hair wasn’t aligned right it’s because of the way I was parting the top section. 🥰😘😍
Aaww, I'm so happy i could help. Thanks for watchibg. 🤗
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾❤❤ Great job you did that I would never do it that small by myself because I have shoulder and hand problems but oh how I wish!! Stay safe and well doll!
Thank you so much. I wish I could do it for you. I was in a great mood to do it and I was just moving non-stop. Even when I was tired, I was still in the rhythm lol 😆
@@KarrillDaDiva me too!! But I saw your zone they looked like knot less braids they are so neat and parting is great as well. Excellent work

Aawww, thank you very much. I always try my best🤗
Beautiful. Thanks girl, this was a video I really needed. Couldn't just comprehend how to make the first knot....so difficult. But now...muaaah! Thanks girl!
Aaaww, you’re so welcome 😍
I really want to learn how to do my hair cause people are so expensive
I agree. Just keep practicing
I love watching your tutorials. I only tried the Jumbo braid and it looks perfectly on me.
Thank you. I appreciate it
You make it look so easy it's neat and beautiful, I need to buy a mannequin.
Thanks so much.
How much hair did you use to do this
I used to braid my hair with this method then stopped and forgot. Because of this video I now remember. Thank you
Love those. Would you still part the front like that if you don't want a middle part? I've taken your advice and braided the ends after all the hair was installed and it was faster.
Yes i would still part my hair this way even if I was goinv to do a side part. And I have been telling everyone that doing the hair that way makes it much easier.
U go girl! You all inspire me to braid mine.
As much a I appreciate the tutorial I also appreciate the ppl who comment saying they tried your methods n it helped!!! ThankU!
I also do my hair myself....Idk how I came about ❤️😍,I always feel so proud of myself....💋
Hi- I just did my hair the same size, but knotless and it took me two days. However, I am still confused as to how you hold the hair to start braiding. I
need to practice, practice, practice! Your hair looks GREAT!
Thanks so much. I appreciate the love 😍
Nice work though 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I cant get the knotless for nothing
Jessica Matthews 👋🏾 it took me 3 days to figure it out. I had to position my arm a different way, to feed the braids in. Just keep practicing... good luck! I practiced for 3 days before I started the braiding process.
@@vivettewilsonbrown I feel you. Not to be shady or anything but I also used a different method because I wanted to make the braiding process not to take long. I also have a video up. I promise you, If you prepare in advance, your braiding process wont take that long. In total, it took me about 14 hours to get my braids done, not bad if you ask me for a DIY.
Your braiding is always on point!
Thanks so much 😍 🙏
yes I actually did the micro box braids 3 months ago. it took me days Your hair looks amazing
Thank you so much
Yes I have a undercut I'm definitely going to try this myself 🔥🔥
You should tag me on IG when u do
Girllllll I currently have box braids that I did on Saturday and Sunday. I'm tired to even edit 😂😂😂😂😂 but I tried another method to grip but I failed and stuck to using my original gripping method.
I always want to achieve that size but I fail unless I do knotless braids.
That's great, keep practicing 😊
