I don't care for Charmaine, but she's constantly gaslit with people refusing to be honest and set boundaries with her. I still don't like her. The handling of her 'delicate' situation is vomit-inducing and a huge cancer making the show underwhelming.
@@creating1_c1999 I agree. I hate the way they wrote that story line for Charmaine to be so manipulative, demanding, vindictive and untouchable. She is rude and horrible to Mel all the time while Mel bends over backwards for her. That would not happen in reality. And Jack, why can't he properly put her in her place? Why can't he just admit to Charmaine that he is in love with Mel so Charmaine stops pursuing him. Although Charmaine can tell, she needs to hear it from him, but he's always skirting around it when she asks, and therefore giving her hope. And like you said, no one is honest with her. No one tells her when she's being a b**ch and when she is over playing the 'vulnerable' card. It is very frustrating and annoying to watch. But the prospect of Jack and Mel keeps me hanging on...
