- Mel & Jack's love story hits home and brings me to tears. Mel is a nurse who lost her husband in a car accident. She never thought she'd love again. Jack is retired veteran, struggling to acclimate to civilian life in the small town of Virgin River while being the epicenter of all things good in the town. He never believed that true love existed.
...until he met Mel.
It's a story of redemption, true love, and hope amidst all of life's hardships and roadblocks.
