When you buy green onions, lettuce celery, mint, parsley save the scrap and plant them in containers on windowsill, patio, balcony, background etc. Green onions and herbs root quickly. The fact that Walmart Inc. owns Walmart AND Sam's Club but decides to put out their crappy produce in Walmart instead of the Sam's Club-level quality is awful. Especially because you have to have a membership for SC and Walmart/Walmart+ is all some people have for groceries/bulk shopping nearby. Walmart can just compete with itself and gouge prices!
Other grocerers see what Walmart Inc. does and then also play the price games with lower quality, smaller fruits and veggies. Let's not forget their poor cuts of meat or meat that's about to go bad. It's shameful. Our health is deteriorating as Americans for so many reasons and food is one of them. But unlike other health hazards, we can't simply stop eating...
Thanks for sharing, Scott. I don't see this changing anytime soon so being aware of what to avoid and being prepared is key.

But not enough people to get rid of rotten food in produce department. The mega walmarts are worst where I live. The mini one does do better but it's not hard to find bad produce at that one either. Yeah, I recently looked at a bunch of grocery stores in the North Puget Sound area-Everett and Seattle, I live in Everett, etc.
There were primarily two kinds of stores. Those that sold fresh, whole foods for quite a lot of money (comparatively)-PCC Natural Markets, Metropolitan Market, Central Market, Ballard Market, etc., and those that sold lower quality whole foods and junk food for cheaper.
If there were any “exceptions”, maybe Sprouts being mostly cheaper with lots of healthy foods, but questionable red meat quality (and fruit/berry quality), Whole Foods being in the “middle” somewhere, QFC/Fred Meyer being “ok”, Costco being draconian with needing to be a member, “middling” quality, bulk stuff, etc., and some aspects of Trader Joe’s being on the better end of cheap-owned by Aldi’s, yes. (But Trader Joe’s sucks regarding red meat of course.) Even Safeway/Albertsons is getting more into the price range of QFC for many items, and they are better than Winco, Walmart, Grocery Outlet, etc., sure.
Eat less? Go for veggies more? Look at labels constantly? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Those workers don't get paid enough to care anyway, and heck, you'll get your money's worth. I always do this now and I never used to. But those prices, I'm doing it now. Scott you said you would more than likely get a 3% raise for the year so you're going backwards think about the seniors that are retired and then they give them a 1%raise and then charge them more for Medicare SMH

WalMart has jacked up the prices on most of their "great value" items, especially their breakfast sausages and eggs. I never thought I would see Eggland's Best eggs cheaper than the store brand eggs, same with the "great value" breakfast sausage vs the name brand breakfast sausage. I've never seen a bag of oranges for 9.96$ until today. That's pure insanity. It looks like anything halfway healthy is getting a lot more expensive in our stores today. And the govt keeps lying to us about the real inflation rate. After all, it's an election year and many clueless sheep will still vote for the Leftists. Everything I buy today outside of Dollar Tree or Big Lots is always on sale, and Big Lots is closing all of their locations in my city this fall, and Aldi refuses to open a location in my city. Even then, I am barely making ends meet...

Hi again from the UK and here the fruit im not joking is nearly free , good example bananas are only 60 pence for 8 in Tesco and another example 1 Apple is 25 pence , Peppers are around 30 pence each and a bag of carrots 17 pence , so yeah i know my country is not good with all the Migrants and the stabbings but its a lot cheaper than the USA , only expensive thing here is to own a car or rent an apartment and the heating and electricity costs but apart form that it is a lot cheaper to live here.

I hate to ask this but you're in Florida can't you still fish there and do they not still have fruit trees in the local parks? And why would you buy tomatoes from a store can't you grow them years around down there? I'm just Asking because I have not lived there in 30 years in Ohio now just south of the lake.

Tomatoes grow like weeds in Florida, but only the cherry tomatoes survive in the wild since they're only eaten by birds and unaware tourists 😂
