- I've managed to get hold of the much talked about CORE transmitter from PowerBox Systems. This video is my first impressions based on knowing very little about the transmitter. Other than the fact everyone is talking about it and I'm seeing it more and more at shows.
There will be a number of follow up videos so please subscribe!

✅ NEW TO MY CHANNEL? ✅
Hi, I'm Matt when I’m not busy working my 'day job' in tech I like to spend time doing my main hobby which is all things related to radio controlled aircraft.
On this channel you will find videos of plane builds, , model shows, flights, crashes (hopefully not many) and tutorials.

Interesting, keen to find out more and understand if there’s enough there to move away from Futaba. I’ve not seen anything from Powerbox or Jeti that would make me move yet.
Lets find out! More videos to allow shortly. I'll be (trying) setting it up my Laser in the next one!
wow congrats sir awesome radio love from India
Thanks but this one is on load direct from PowerBox in Germany!
Hi Matt, thanks for posting the video, very informative as always. I also use the Futaba T18SZ for my models but not sure whether the PowerBox system would add anything to the mix, especially at it's price point. Plus, as you say, the additional cost of having to change all the rest of the radio gear!
On another subject and I'm after some advice please: I'm trying to set up 3 different flight conditions on 1 switch for my FMS 70mm Viper EDF - takeoff, cruise and landing. Basically, I want some of the functions to work in unison on switch SE on the transmitter - switch position 1 (takeoff - gear down, flap set at take-off position), switch position 2 (cruise - clean configuration i.e. gear up, flaps up) and switch position 3 (landing - gear down, flap at landing position). I've set up the 3 "Conditions" on the transmitter, but not sure how to assign the functions, rather than AFR (for different rates). As usual the instructions are difficult to understand! I have a feeling that I might not be able to use Conditions and may have to use Program Mixes instead, which is a whole new learning experience! Any advice from you or anyone else on your great channel would be much appreciated. Thanks Chris
Update - I've set up 2 Conditions - Takeoff/Landing and Cruise then set up a Program Mix with the Flaps as Master and Gear as Slave against switch SF (2-way). On the Takeoff/Landing configuration, gear and flaps are down, on Cruise everything is cleaned up simultaneously. I still haven't fathomed out a way to do a 3 Condition set-up, as if gear is set on a 3-way switch it's up in position1 and 2 and down in position 3. Ideally I'd want it down in position 1 with take-off flap, up in position 2 for the cruise and no flap and down again in position 3 with landing flap. I don't think is possible as the gear seems to only be up or down on a 2-way switch....
I think I understand; it's like you want to mix a condition into the flap switch to control the gear, if the gear is set. I would be surprised if you couldn't do this on the Atom. It seams highly configurable. I don't currently have a model with gear and flaps, or I would try it. Actually I do, I have a war bird but it's not setup yet... hmm, I might try this. Give me some time.
Two charging jacks as the same charger can charge the RX battery’s
Thanks that makes perfect sense. I didn’t think of that as I’ve always used a separate charger for my RX packs. Most of my models have more than one too.
I’ve just bought it’s little brother Atom. Only used it once so far, and I love it. Very easy to program.
Look forward to further videos.
Is it something your considering switching to?
Ah that's good to know. Yes it is something I would consider switching too, although I have a lot of RX's that would need swapping out to. I'm about to setup my EF Laser on it, which will be the next video. Thanks for watching!
What’s up man can you tell me why you went with this over Jeti?
Hi, I borrowed this transmitter from PowerBox, it’s not mine. I’m hoping I can borrow a Jeti one soon. I fly Futaba, it’s what I started in many years ago.
I also moved from Futaba and carefully looked at Jeti Vs PowerBox.
First thing is that the PB tx feels better to hold...more like my old Futaba 18SZ and even older JR12X. The Jeti is not quite as comfy for me to hand hold (I pinch the sticks).
PB has way better telemetry performance due to their implementation but the best thing is that the PB operating system is just a lot easier to program when compared to Jeti.
Otherwise there is no major differences between them.
One at I will fly one of these....the atom and core are pinnacle of rc radio transmitter....one day I'll have me one or even a jeti... #dreams😂😂😂😂 until then I'm stuck in spektrum umbrella because I bought nx10 for Mt first real radio....
A lot of people do use spektrum! at least it gets you flying!
