      @soundwavesuperior28 3 года назад +12

      Well yes, but no, it wasn’t feathered. If it was in the desert, there is no logical reason for them to have feathers; in fact, there’s been evidence stirred up since 2016 that entirely debunked what was, in my opinion, a nonsensical theory suggesting that certain dinosaurs had feathers, even though there was no purpose or true logic behind such a claim.
      Nice joke though! It got a like and laugh from me. :)

      Actually it's objectively obvious that SOME dinosaurs had feathers. Just look at archaeopteryx fossilized markings, you'd be blind not to see feather marks. However allosaurus did not have feathers and I think people still go overboard on how many dinos had feathers altogether.

    First actually informative video of this topic I've ever seen. Just like you Trey, to be this good. However, I have a bit of a favourite fossil of this kind thet i'd like to inform you of. In the late 2000s (I forget which year) scientists studying the Chadron Formation of North Dakota unearthed a 30 million-year old skull of a Dinictis felina; a kind of false sabre-toothed cat the size of a small leopard, with likely fatal tooth puncture marks along the right postorbital. These marks linked up almost perfectly to the teeth of another large predator of the formation; the creodont Hyaenodon horridus. This I find so cool because of the rarity of large predators in fossil beds. So to find a fossil showing that two large-bodied carnivores interacteed and fought? Well, that's nothing short of amazing.

    Let's not forget Batrachtomus and Mastodonsaurus having bite marks from each other-Hans Sues has reported this activity in the Erfurt formation.
    Then there's the Nimravus skull with a Eusmilus fangmark.
    Smilodons have been found in La Brea with fang punctures-possibly from other Smilodons, but also possibly from dire wolves or giant lions
    Quetzalcoatlus with Saurornitholestes bite marks and Moropus with Daeodon bite marks may just be scavenging, or could be pretty epic fights.
    Finally, the Niobrara giant squid Tusoteuthis is known only from gladii or pens-one such gladius is broken in half with Tylosaurus bite marks.
