I don’t comment or like videos simply because I hate the idea of rich RUclipsr’s getting even more Rich off my view but I enjoyed this video of a guy who is relatable and trying to inform and genuinely review and give advice.
Thanks for the comment! For the most part I can't stand what RUclips has turned into. The only videos being made now seem to be just for money and not genuine reviews. Thanks again!
What I like about the style of the Hyper tough is the trigger. Having the lever pivot behind you instead of in front allows me to apply easier clamping force. Years ago, my dad bought some bar clamps at Lowes that had the same design, but no longer carry. But I agree that something I would change about the design is to increase the size of the pressure release button.
I have Irwins. I use the really small ones on electric guitar projects, but I’ve managed to break one. After this video, I bought a couple of the small Hyper Tough clamps from Walmart. Thanks for this.
The Hyper Tough clamps have worked well for me. The only issue I have at the moment is one has a release button that is very difficult to depress to release the ratchet. Guess I will have to take it apart to take a look inside the mechanism.
Yes I ran into the same issue. Personally I don't like either clamp a whole lot. But I feel like a lot of people on a budget are attracted to the irwins and I don't think they are any better than the much cheaper hyper toughs

I have several Irwins and they have never failed over the years.

But how do you assemble the red parts???? I can’t get them off where they are!!!!!!
👍 Walmart is closer to me than harbor freight is too.
I hate my rubbers come off... Lol.. I use the hyper tough for my kydex press making sheaths, and I get great impressions on the kydex.
What do you mean they fall off? They shouldnt fall off
