LOL I’m trying to stretch a pair of pre-pandemic jeans... THANK YOU!
LOL!
I searched everywhere for a "spreader". I actually had a DeWalt Clamp in my Home Depot on-line cart, thinking this gadget must somehow be able to be used... when I stumbled upon this video. So I was actually on the right path (amazing, as I am the least DIY person you could ever imagine). Thank you so much for this video!
Very cool!
Had these clamps for 5 years and never knew that. Installing tongue and groove on ceiling with warped boards in the middle, this saved me tons of grief. Thanks so much!!
Awesome! Thanks for the comment!
Thank you... thank you.... thank you!!!!! I have been looking at this clamp for the last 30 minutes trying to figure out how to make it a spreader. Great video!!!
You are welcome! Awesome!
Like many below I was waaayyyy over thinking. Spent an hour trying to find a good spreader for field dressing deer and I stumbled on your video while sitting in my work shop. Hanging on wall directly in front of me was the same exact clamp you used in this video!! Problem solved and I already owned it!! Thanks!!!!!
Great to hear! That's awesome!
It seems like most of them have this feature! Thanks so much sir. Excellent for lifting furniture or most things it will fit under. Just tried in on the bed. Works perfectly
Glad it was helpful!
You are so smart and I am so dumb. I figured out how to take the end piece off on my own, but I kept it on the same end lol!! Thank you! Have a wonderful day!
:) Thanks for checking in!
Thanks for the video - the outtakes were funny as all get out. I had one of those "senior" moments where I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to make my DeWalt clamps a spreader. I knew for sure I had done it before but just couldn't figure it out late at night.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Same. I was in the store and the sales person couldn't figure it out either. Thank goodness for RUclips.
I knew thiswas possible, but didn't know how to do it. The problem was that I was WAY over-thinking it! Thanks for a short and VERY sweet explanation and demonstration.
I'm all about the simple! :) Thanks!
@@AppleValleyFarmGA the reason I watched this today is because I was taking apart an old counter / shelving unit that my late father-in-law had made so I could turn it into a bench for my niece. The spreader allowed me to do so without damage to the boards. Thanks!!!
Omg LMAO. I was in crappy tire aka Canadian Tire trying to figure out how to use this. Glad I only watched the serious portion of the video in store. I burst out laughing. You're funny. Thanks ♥️🇨🇦
Well thank you! :)
Sir, you have helped me greatly with this simple trick. Thank you!
Well thank you!!!
Short and sweet! Thanks!

Great tip. Saved me some money. Thanks
Awesome! Glad it helped.
fantastic, thank you!
You're very welcome!
Amazing, I never knew, thanks
Awesome! Happy to help! :)
Genius! Just what I need.
Hooray! :)
I feel like an idiot after fiddling with one of my clamps for 20 min earlier today trying to turn it into a spreader with no success. Thanks for the video ✊
It's strictly G-14 Classified stuff, but glad I could share. :)
Thanks so much! DeWalt has a Q&A for this which has you removing the phillips head screw!
Thank you!!
Thanks my friend
Thank you too
Thank you.
You're welcome!

YW
Hell yeah.
What's the strength? I feel like you could do a lot of damage to your clamp
That's a good question. I don't know what the strength would be, but I would say the clamp is equally strong for clamping and spreaing. So IMO, no danger there. :)
You already know! 😂😂
What are some common projects that require a spreader?
Any number of things. We use ours a lot when building reclaimed wood furniture. The wood can be so imperfect, so lots of times we have to spread frame members to get them square. One thing though...if you ever think you'll "never need to do that", it'll matter a lot when you do! ;) LOL! Thanks for asking!
@@AppleValleyFarmGA Any videos of you using that feature?
You have got to be kidding me!!
I know, right!? :)
Awesome - thank you!
