Very well done video. This was the most useful rules explanation and demonstrations I've found for this game. Thanks for the effort!
Tyler Meyer Glad to help! It’s a worthy game, but it’s SO much better with 3+ players.
My wife and I played this tonight. We actually thought it was awesome with two players. Tons of fun. Well designed, great art and components.
I do like it with 2, but I feel it’s stronger with 3+. I’d still never turn down a game!
Awesome video!
You guys rock!
Thanks Bernardo!
For the quality of this video alone you deserve at least 10k subs.
The Violent Banana Flattery will earn you some serious cookies around here.;)
Just got this, waiting for it to arrive, but this is a great review of the rules. I'm still confused about sequence but this gives more depth than a few of the others and cool info nowhere else. 🖒
Michael Pelz I’m guessing it’ll make more sense when you see it in front of you.
Especially if you have 3+ players.
The 2 player mode is kind of lacking- this is a party game!
If you have any specific questions we’ll help as best as we can.
Thanks for watching, mate!;)
This looks like a fun game Captain! I think my Krewe would enjoy it!
The River Pirate 13 I very much suspect they would, mate!
Best board game walkthrough ever :D I'm gonna trade some drum sticks for a pirate's hat...
Martijn Vaassen Pillage the hat. Then you’ll have both!
Good point! I'll take the keg of rum and the maiden too while I'm at it :D
Kudos to the prop team
can you please tell me what sleeves are you using ? :o btw it is a really good video :) I love it! I want to be a pirate too!
Thanks, Karen. The urge to go pirate must not be suppressed. Release your inner scallywag!
As for the sleeves, we use the MayDay Games standard USA size (56x87). There may be better options out there, but that's where we landed.

Thank you. I was just about to ask the same question
Hello, great play through of a great game. Thank you for the plug about the customizable cards. I will check it out for sure. I am in complete agreement with you about all but the pineapple on pizza. If you ask me, pizza is the best place to put pineapple. Can you tell me if sleeving the cards reduces storage in the box? We have not done so yet due to the limited space.
Radicole Funbox I’m able to pack the game back in the box with sleeved cards, but it’s pretty tight.
I don’t normally sleeve games, but I’m trying it out to learn it’s virtues.
#TeamNoPineapple!
I had trouble focusing on your final comments, as I kept thinking how you must work at a Hollywood studio prop department.
Am not sure if you get into the more complex games, but if you do, it'd be cool to see you cover 'Merchants and Marauders' and the soon to be released 'The Pirate Republic'.
bgm 1961 Thanks, mate! We’re eagerly awaiting The Pirate Republic right now & there’s certainly an idea to get a Merchants & Marauders video out there as well.
And if light wargames might be OK for you, then I also recommend looking at the game, "British vs Pirates".
That one is certainly of interest as well. But me gold pouch is light! Can only get so many. But I’ll catch up to it someday!
Game looks cool !!!
I can confirm that it most certainly is a fun game!;) It is slightly less fun when you're trying to fit it all back into the box, but it's worth the pain.
Lol CptJWShinbones that sounds like me and catan trying to go back in
Especially if we're adding expansions and promos! No wonder the Broken Token was invented. The factory box isn't always adequate.
Yeah i only have Broken Token for CARCASSONNE and love it been meaning to get more soon.
I have LOTR: LCG & honestly its a bit flimsy, but I couldn't live without it. We want to get the Star Trek Frontiers next.
