I have experienced 5 surgeries in 5 years for this and have learned so much. I was grieving my mother, I was sensitive, I was weak or stressed. Am a Zambian mother and my beautiful daughter has been going through pain as u described since she was 12,soon as she started menses' the pain has gotten worse ,just like you she has had to defer her exams at the University and now i have observed that she is now getting depressed as her teen life has been spent in pain and hospital. Am happy that i came across this video cause it has really opened my eyes .I plan on taking her for further investigations only this time i will explain and alert the Doctors about Endometriosis..It is so painful to watch your child scream every month, one can tell that the pain is excruciating but without help. Each visit we are told its gastritis and ulcers, hormonal imbalance and like you said they keep saying this will go when she gives birth..like really ? Its only trial and error. I cant thank you enough for this wonderful insight, I believe this message was for me and my beautiful 21 yrs old daughter who has not known any joy of being a teen. May God richly bless you Jahmby.

    ENDOMETRIOSIS need plenty awareness.
3/11/20update: as per uk NICE guidance if suspected endometriosis patient shud be referred to a gynaecologist for evaluation.
What is required: a)ultra sound pelvis b) exclude STDs c)manage pain with : 1.3months of paracetanol &ibuprofen or offer combined contraceptive pill(not for those trying to concieve) then review by gynae after 3 months if no better consider laparascopy to explore the pelvis and burn the endometriosis lining., but if endometriosis involves other organs like bladder bowel then a gonadotrophin releasing agonist shud be considered before surgery involving all other specialists.
Hysterectomy is the extreme treatment .
