  • Nowadays we are prisoner in our own system. Wherever you look there are strict processes, more and more intelligent computers, complete addictions etc. What is happening If something or someone don´t follow the regular figur of the system? We will see it!
This performance was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx Christopher Woschitz aka Chris Cross, is a dancer, teacher and choreographer in the field of urban dance styles. He started out in a small dance school and quickly took off to many national and international performances. Through his European and World Championship titles in the categories Hip Hop & B-Boying/Breakdance he counts as one of the best up-and-coming-talents of our time. In his workshops he teaches over a hundred students per week and not only passes on his dance moves but also important qualities such as ambition, self-confidence, discipline or patience. Most of the choreography and visuals are copied from previously created projection mapping and dance performances dating back to Beyonce's in 2011 & another Japanese artist.

Thanks for your feedback. We work very hard on our dance shows and of course we are inspired by other dance productions. Our inspirations go far beyond 2011. As early as 1980, Niels "Storm" Robitzky performed his dance show "Solo for 2". It was amazing.
What we don't do is to copy choreographies or other dance productions. We think detailed about the story, structure, design, choreography, added value and programming in a months-long process. If you can have sources to your opinion, we would be very happy about it to learn more about the wonderful symbiosis of technique and art.

@@ChriscrossAt You're right, Solo for 2 was good and as old at least as far back as 2001. Michael Naimark mapped non-dancing stuff in an art installation in 1980. Disneyland had their Haunted Mansion projection in 1969. They were using projections even in the 1940s movies. There's a Lauren Bacall movie scene on the ocean but the ocean is a film behind their filming. Shadow dancing is old. Jessica, you stand super duper corrected. What's not projected are the freckles Jen Psaki sits on. Those are permanent.
