Dang, I never played the first chameleon twist, but it made me remember the sequel. I never got very far because I was TERRIBLE at video games back then. What a throwback. +1 sub
I had the Lego racer game growing up. I let someone borrow and never got it back but listening to the music in the background while you spoke brought back memories!
I've mostly played a lot of the top shelf games so it was really refreshing to watch this video. The only one I played younger that I would say is forgotten is "Nightmare Creatures".
maybe not the most obscure game (since the arcade cabinet version was pretty popular), but i have SO many fond memories of playing hydro thunder at my cousin’s house on their N64!! we loved that game to death, despite the fact that for some goddamn reason we could never save our progress and lost all the cool boats we unlocked after each play session
Dude.... somehow Iggy's Reckin Balls got purged to some obscure corner of my memory. I haven't heard or though of that game in YEARS..... but as soon as you said the name it jogged my memory big time. Wow.... that is crazy. Reminds me of a SNES game called Uniracers that I was obsessed with for some time when I was a kid. Also have great memories from back in the day playing Chameleon Twist. Never owned that one but did rent it quite a few times and have some fond memories with it.
I love when a memory of a game rises from thr depths of the brain. And someone else in this comment section actually mentioned Uniracers too! I guess I'll have to get a copy of it now And YES I keep seeing so much Chameleon Twist love here and it makes me so happy 🤘
Dude my first thought after you explained the video premise was Chameleon Twist. Pretty sure I never owned it just rented it constantly. Such a fun game.
the reason the resident evil games had tank controls was to make sure you didn't change directions when the camera changes, so the Scooby Doo people maybe should have taken inspiration from that. also you really should have talked about Body Harvest. good effort tho.
The forgotten games I could think of is Flying Dragon, Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, and Goemon's Great Adventure. Well, the two Goemon games really stick out for me the most, it's bizarre world, it got me interested in Japanese culture, there's giant robot boss fights, 4 Playable characters, and Great OSTs. They are not perfect games (then again all games aren't perfect), but they're so much fun for me, I love to replay them anytime, and I listen to those soundtracks a lot while i'm working or whatever. 😀
I've always wanted to get around to the Goemon games! They look crazy fun, and I enjoyed playing one of the older ones (it was on SNES I think?) I'll keep my eye open to add those to my collection
Mystical Ninja was probably one of my most played N64 games growing up. It's so underrated, and I reckon the series in general deserves more recognition and a revival or at least for them to release the Japan only games in the west on a compilation or something.
Oh and yeah, I still listen to the soundtrack a lot too, wish there were more remixes. Though Ed Solo (Well knownish DnB DJ) oddly did a remix, and it's a banger
@@xpinkbunnieinwonderlandx8454 Agreed. Most people enjoyed Banjo Kazooie and put it in such high reguard. That's cool, I played it as well. But Something about the Goemon series that stick out to me the most. 😃 It's a shame Goemon is owned by Konami... They probably won't able to do anything to this franchise again. 😞
Yes Iggys! I rented it back in the day from Hastings it was weird but good. OMG Chameleon Twist 1&2 Yes! I rented those from Hastings too. I recommend MRC Racing its a good game I feel anyways.
@@KotBox thank you and yeah i even somehow got my childhood friends to try iggys it was pretty fun. But our main jam was mario kart 64 and goldeneye and mario party 1.
Mystical Ninja is the first game I think of for a forgotten game. I used to play it all the time growing up, still holds up today!
Good memories on Lego Racers. Indeed not the best game but its Lego and the N64 combined. The 2 best things in the world for a kid!
Dude, you deserve much more subscribers.
Great content!

Sounds like it's time for a replay! 🦎
The Chameleon Twist games just don't get the love they deserve, and I will happily die on this hill.
The amount of Chameleon Twist fans showing up in the comments is bringing me LIFE
He's on the game cartridge cover, but you just can't see him because he's blending in.
Honestly shocked you don't have more subs. Also loved the vid and love the stache!
Thanks so much dude 🤘
Iggy reminded my of Uniracers, a game I played the hell out of.
I just looked it up, and now I might have to give it a go. It looks odd in all the right ways!
@@KotBox For me it was like Tony Hawk Pro Skater before it existed. Do tricks, go fast.
Mystical Ninja set the ground work for Ocarina of Time. It's a masterpiece
Yup!
Played the heck out of that game as a kid. It is a gem.
Amazing video man, keep it up!
Thank you! I'll keep working hard 🤘
I had the Lego racer game growing up. I let someone borrow and never got it back but listening to the music in the background while you spoke brought back memories!
It's all about those good memories! I hope you stumble across an affordable copy someday!
LETS GO NEW EPISODE!!!!!!
Finally! Someone else who appreciates Iggy's Reckin' Balls!
I've mostly played a lot of the top shelf games so it was really refreshing to watch this video. The only one I played younger that I would say is forgotten is "Nightmare Creatures".
Nightmare Creatures is such a cool game. Kinda like Castlevania and Bloodborne had a strange, 64 bit baby

Yo Hydro Thunder is such a good racer! I used to forget the name as a kid so I always referred to it as "Wet-Zero" lol

Maybe I'll have to do another one soon! I'd love a chance to talk about Body Harvest
I feel like not enough people talk about Penny Racers 64, and even though it's not great, I don't see many people talking about Turok Rage Wars
I haven't gotten around to Penny Racers 64, but I'll have to add it to my list! And I own rage wars but haven't touched it yet lol whoops
Chameleon Twist 1 and 2 are definitely underappreciated.
100%! Everyone here supporting Chameleon Twist gets an automatic cool-person card

I hope to see a video of it one day. 😃

I remember Iggy's Wreaking Ball quite well...
I remember us picking it up at Hollywood Video way back when!
I loved Chameleon Twist 2, I never got to play 1.
Two had my favorite challenge courses! Hopefully you'll get to try out the first game someday.

You know Chameleon Twist & Iggys. Congratulations you're officially in the cool kid book!
@@KotBox thank you and yeah i even somehow got my childhood friends to try iggys it was pretty fun. But our main jam was mario kart 64 and goldeneye and mario party 1.
Absolutely classics. I can't wait for Goldeneye to come back on Switch/Xbox
War Gods… that is all.
I haven't played that one before! I'll have to keep my eye out for a cartridge 👀
Kockbox..
I would say emulate them and not pay money for any of them barely any of these games are worth 20 bucks
