  • This is a video on adjusting the hydraulic brakes on the front left wheel. Other wheels are adjusted the same way. The car is a 1935 Ford Convertible Sedan that was fitted for hydraulic brakes

What about getting the shoes centered? My 1941 Plymouth Powell brakes are a pain to adjust but I made a centering tool.

You didn't adjust the lower eccentrics after adjusting the tops... or left out the adjustment of the lowers. You only tightened the lock nut.

It has been so long, I don't remember but will check out the adjustments the next time the car is on the lift. Thanks

Did your car come stock with hydraulic brakes?

No, the hydraulic brakes were installed by the prior owner.

I don’t believe those are 1935 mechanical brakes , look more like later hydraulic brakes (1940s)

True. The prior owner put in the juice brakes
