Trae - All Star, All NBA
    JJ - MIP
    Daniels - All Defense
    Risacher - ROY
    Bogi - 6th Man

JJ might be all star too, Bogi will probably start but might go with Daniels for defense I guess. Also Bogi is probably more comfortable coming off bench

@@The_Wiffler ‼️‼️for real. I 100 % agree. I didn't put that because some could say that's too far but JJ looks like he's so comfortable he will def be in the All Star running as long as he keep the same energy. Bogi is comfortable off the bench and leading the second unit.

@@muambitangu8621yeah I think Daniels needs to start for defense because Risacher and Trae are above average on 3s, JJ probably slighty below average but thats good for a pf. Bogi coming off bench is something I think he would like more because hes just better off the bench. Would help guys like Bufkin develop more as Bufkin would get a lot of easy assists to Bogi for 3s which will give Bufkin confidence moving forward

Zaccharie looks like a player and I love the vibes he brings to the team. Played with a lot of poise and at a professional’s pace. Didn’t seem like he was too excited and moving too fast. I love the visible difference in his body just since summer league. He’s still skinny but the size is much better than it was this summer.
Hearing Trae’s prerecorded interview at half time , it seems like Team Chemisty is in a great place. Trae seemed genuinely excited about the guys around him and he seems to really like Risacher and is embracing him. He talked about how he hasn’t felt as good as he does now about the guys as personalities surrounding him and I think that’s a testament to Landry really believing in his motto and bringing in guys with “Hawks DNA” that are selfless and play the game the right way. Trae seems a lot warmer with his teammates and he was giving a lot of effort on the defensive end. I’m excited.

    Great Analysis!
    My Projected Starters:
    PG: Trae Young
SG: Zaccharie Risachier(He Played SG in Summer league)
    SF: DeAndre Hunter
    PF: Jalen Johnson
    C: Clint Capela
    Bench:
    PG: Kobe Bufkin/Vit Krejie
    SG: Bogdan Bogdanovic/Seth Lundy
    SF: Dyson Daniels/Vit Krejie
    PF: Larry Nance/ Mohammed Gauye
    C: Onyeka Okongwu/Cody Zeller
Tons of size on the wing to insulate Trae defensively. Risachier said he patterns his game after Klay Thompson and I love it. He reminds me of Peja. If we can flip Clint for another starting center that would be perfect. Not a lot of options out there though.
We added a lot of shiny new toys over the years like Dejounte Murray and Seddiq Bey and people forget that the Initial starting lineup that started our ECF run in 2021 was Trae, Bogi, Hunter, Collins, and Capela. The only player that we don't have there is Collins and I believe Jalen Johnson is a clear upgrade. We haven't played that ECF lineup a lot because of "The Shiny new Toys" and injuries but its still very good lineup and VERY effective! We will be fine as long as Quinn Snyder plays his cards right(which i'm not confident of at the moment).
I've seen what we look like without DeAndre Hunter in the lineup...Luka Lit us up for 70+ points last season. When we faced Dallas later in the season WITH HUNTER not only did we win but Kyrie(who didn't play in the first game) was available and played. That win was in Dallas and Luka barely scored in the low 20's with 'Dre all over him. Getting rid of Dre would be defensive suicide for my Hawks. He may not be flashy or have all of the counting stats but he will muzzle any player you put him on(Think Shane Battier with better scoring). Without him our Perimeter defense usually falls apart, but he has some solid defensive-minded teammates like Dyson Daniels and Risachier who can help him out there this season.
Unfortunate foot injury to our new 2nd Round Serbian Rookie Nikola in Summer league. He will be out through January probably but I am very optimistic about our roster and this group of young guys!

I know this is unfair to ZR, because he's not the typical number one pick. And this wasn't the typical draft. I always expected him to be as serviceable/ versatile NBA player. But I'm hoping for more than that. He's, in all likelihood, the best Hawks draft pick in the next 5 years. His dad was a pro, so he's mature. And he knows the game. But I'm hoping his ceiling is more Brandon Roy than Sephalosha or Rudy Gary.

I don't think Hunter is Trash, I just dont think a line-up of Trae, Daniels, Hunter, JJ, and Capela allows enough offensive spacing.
The reason the Pacers were able to get out to that early lead was because they didn't fear Hunters shooting or creativity when closing out to him, so they were able to load when the strong side.
Hunter's shot making just isn't consistent enough, and he plays way too slow.
He did better at the PF position with the wnd unit.
Zacc, if in the starting line-up because of his playmaking ability and ability to shoot, pass, and dribble, it would just open up the the lane for JJ.
The starting unit needed more spacing. Zacc would provide that.
Young, Daniels, Zacc, JJ, and pick a Center should be the starting 5...it just is what it is.

@MattyOkay i think Zacc on any other team would start at 2guard. But for the Hawks he is too tall to chase PGs around screens for Young. Like he wouldn't be able to navigate all the picks Haliburton came off in that game. But Daniels is better at it.
Also it save Zacc from picking up cheap fouls. He can play the 3 on Defense and on Offense kinda play a 2 guard role. While Daniles plays the 3 on offense
I just think Hunters knees won't allow him to start at SF anymore he doesn't have the athleticism he use to before all the knee injuries. But he can still play PF.

    • @MattyOkay
      @MattyOkay 2 дня назад

@sweetnessdabutta9985 I think with the size on the wing they can just switch any non- trae matchup on the peremeter. We started to see some of that in the 2nd Half. Dre looked good fighting over screens on he peremeter last night like he always from my view....if anything it looks like his technique has improved a bit. Any PnR involving Trae we can just strong hedge and allow Trae time to recover so he doesn't get a mismatch.
The first 5 mins of the game were rough for all of our starters. JJ looked the best out of that stint but they all got cooked early. Dre won't wont like that always, he averages a steady 15ppg. If Zach were in instead of Dyson it works because he's more aggressive offensively and will let it fly. I watched the Entire Marvin Williams era and Dre is NOT that(Thank God). He gets his share of heat but he's extremely solid; a legit hooper, a bucket gettter.

    • @sweetnessdabutta9985
      @sweetnessdabutta9985 2 дня назад +1

@MattyOkay that's what I meant. Zacc and Daniels can really just play both roles depending on what is being asked or needed at that time. That's SG and SF role are interchangeable. That's what makes those two playing together, along with JJ, such a nightmare. Because you now have 3 guys that have the IQ, skillsets, and athleticism to make whatever needs to happen happen. And they all can cover for each other because they have the size to do it. But more importantly, they all can shoot, dribble, pass, create. Which is what you need around a 6-1 PG like Trae Young

Zach looked absolutely awesome. I'm sure he'll have some bad games here & there, but his court IQ for a 19 year old is off the charts. With the exception of Hunter, the whole team just looked - better!
Zach needs to be starting. Hunter was absolutely awful. Couldn't shoot, and he doesn't play defense anymore, either. He's a liability. Trade him away, or just drop him.
Also of note - it was a really good game for Trae. I only saw him make one stupid shot (the pullup logo launch), but he was definitely looking more to get everybody else involved. He also look like he was trying (though not very great, still) to play a little defense. Really liked what I saw out of him, though.
I know it's one preseason game, but at least it looks like they're on a better path than they've been on in the last few years.
