The Dirty Birds Nest and its success definitely comes from the success of the Supporters' Section of the Atlanta United, that started at that team's inception in 2017. The Falcons have improved each and every year providing great fan experience and now we finally have a team that matches that....and we're hoping to finally rid ourselves of that epic fail in the Super Bowl....LFG!!!!!
State Farm Arena has the Hawks nest and another section that goes nuts every game but at the United games the entire stadium goes crazy. I didn't go to a United game this past season and they've been losing so much I don't know what the atmosphere is like now.
For a more traditional tailgate you have to go under the bridge (which they're building on top of soon) or the parking lots surrounding the stadium. The best restaurants/scenes aren't actually downtown, either- that's more of a tourist trap. Midtown, West Side, Kirkwood, pretty much anywhere else is better overall.
We saw all the construction but we got there kind of early. Maybe they were getting too crazy over there yet. this is good to know! especially for traveling fans. thanks for commenting and letting us know!

As a Bucs fan from Canada....we made the trip down to Atlanta to watch the game. What an amazing experience! Incredible stadium and seriously appreciate the Falcons fan base for being welcomed to the environment! Was an awesome time.
Man!!! I lived the exact same thing for the opening game vs Pittsburgh! I flew from Canada to Atlanta and was part of the Dirty Birds Nest, VIP, saw Jamal Anderson, Bijan Robinson, The Falconator... I am going back next year for sure!! ❤
Hartsfield is the busiest airport in the world can't help but be the central transportation hub and a shortage of staff. Atlanta food scene is awesome though can't believe you went to chain semi fast food place. Lastly, the fan held tailgate is at another location, under the bridge. So yeah you got the family friendly half of the experience.

Just so you know, there is a TON of tailgating going on outside of the stadium area leading up to Mercedes-Benz.... all around the stadium.... every game....before and after the games

Falcons should definitely be A tier. Atlanta airport is so incredible for it being the busiest airport in the world, so much great food you missed, Stadium is great, can’t see any reason for it to be so low

Supporters only sections are a big deal in the soccer world and since both teams share the same owner, I think it safe to assume he really liked that concept.

Great video and look at what has evolved with the Dirty Birds Nest. My seats are a few rows ahead of where you were in 133 and I usually do the Nest pre-game party but I didn't make it in time. It's become so hype in that corner. Your observations of Atlanta are accurate but with some explanation. American Deli is emergency food, not good food. You could have had much better options, especially for a dry lemon pepper. Many commute to the games so that's why there's the sponsored events so they can enjoy also. Plus, what was the tailgate area is under construction ahead of World Cup development for 2025. If you ever make it back, we'll take you for some good food. Feel better, hope you make it to Seattle.

Me and my school went on a trip to the falcons stadium and got a private tour and no fans were there because it was a day in a week before this season started and we viewed the locker room and the field to and we seen all the mascots for all the teams and we seen evrything else
I ❤ this I was in the Dirty bird Nest! It the best experience and you can fan out scream make noise, cry and everyone gonna help you thru it! When Hodges made the last touchdown I couldn’t speak!!! I was speechless until the Dirty bird nest fans put her arms around me and said speak 🗣️. I was released lol 😂we cheered the night away!!❤❤❤ love the nest🎉🎉🎉🎉

Where you went to tailgate is a team sponsored area. You cross the street and there is more tailgating going on. You should experience that as well. American deli is good but I recommend JR Crickets for wings. Plus they make their Bleu cheese(ranch too) from scratch.
