As I am trilingual, I enjoy it very much when your videos are too, as it gives such a lovely and sometimes funny twist between French, Austrian-German and English! Tyrol is on both sides: North Tyrol and East Tyrol in Austria, they speak tyrolian. South Tyrol is (today) in Italy, they speak tyrolian too. 😂 Just in scool they are obliged to learn italian.
But tyrolian is definitely and only a german language/dialect and has absolutely NOTHING in common with italian.
There is no italian-german language.

I should may be precise that Philip and his mother are speaking Tyrolian, part of the Bairish familyof dialects, I am speaking Swiss-German, part of the Alemannic family of dialects, they have a lot of similarities, and that we all speak also standard/High German (lot of fun and good sources for more puns ;-)! )

I feel your pain Philipp. At the age of 38 I was told I needed longer arms to see.The pain reached deep inside. I already have long arms, it runs in our family. Turn your frustration toward the positive, I did. I do a pretty awesome gorilla imitation for my grandchildren and am the hit of the party. At least that’s what they say, can’t really see their expressions clearly.

Benoits dog is a Pyranian mountain dog, they are expert livestock guardians and prefer to live outdoors

I was trolled at the age of 7. You will be relieved to know that once you are over 70, some people have eyes that start to get better again, like mine. In the meantime, there are always contacts. Get ready to be trolled by muscle tone, coordination, hearing, stamina, etc. But you are brave. You can handle it.
Gosh I mine get better after seventy. I remember getting my first pair of glasses as a child. Iwas so excited to be able to see the leaves on trees. To this day I remember that moment.

Don't forget the biggest troll. The urinary tract. They do the most trolling at night so be careful.

I had the same diagnosis when I was around 8 or 9 and I cried like a baby at the time.
I saw my life flash before my eyes really (it was a blurry life that I'd lived).

Sorry to hear that. I actually stopped at 29 feeling older and so far it worked. I wear glasses for driving but only so that I look more like an accountant and police won't stop me for routine controls. Otherwise I enjoy the world becoming more like an impressionist painting and eventually an abstract one. Since i didn't change, I wonder why so many around me are getting out of shape and started changing their contours. Most likely just fashion … which will change again for certain into something better, more naturalistic looking soon …

Phillip: I went through the very same thing about six months ago. I work in IT and desperately need to be able to see to do my job. I've worn glasses since I was 9. For the past 10 years my eyes have been the same prescription. I wear contacts daily, and while I cannot hardly see anything without them, I no longer could read my phone, the computer screen, or my watch. It was a stressful couple of months as I waited to get into my eye doctor to figure out what was going on. I was told the same thing. After 50 your eyes need to be checked and may change. I now wear bi-focal contacts, and my prescription changed a lot compared to my old one. I took it as just a difference in the way the doctor delivers the message rather than him trolling. I love what you are doing to the Chateau and enjoy your channel. Keep up the amazing work and let the comments roll like water off of a duck's back.

I have worn glasses since I was 10 years old. They are a blessing to me. Philipp, glasses do not take away from your appearance. You look just fine with glasses.
Anna, As surprising as this is, please show us when you paint your boot room. With now over 350K followers (congrats !) many will want to see exactly how you achieve the finish you do. Your tips and tricks ? For example, you often see people paint then sand - how to you protect your floors so well we never see paint on wood or stone flooring. Do you need to wash the walls. And how do you roll and paint the same wall and still get the desired effect ?

I'm going to pick up the first of two adoptions tomorrow, a tiny tiny Jack Russel mix from my region, I've named him Tutti ! Another little girl is coming from Roumania, she is an 8 month old Jack Russell look-alike, a street doggie found tied up. Her name will be Una, she has never known a house or a bed or love. I just built some bed steps for my bedroom and restored a small bed for them in the sitting room. Joy is back on the menu although they cannot replace the ones I lost, they are a new chapter in a new story.

I’ve learned not to take hate personally. I’ve learned now, in my late 40’s, that people project their personal struggles, hate and short coming onto others. Just a suggestion but you should build a sturdy ramp you can put on and off your outside steps when bringing in heavy things. And just store it away afterwards. 😊

OMG Benoit is hilarious. The banter between him and Philipp is like a comedy team. I think we get the colder weather on this side of the state, but you’re about an hour and a half away and a bit north, so you probably will get similar weather. Were expecting a week of needing to be cleared amounts of snow off and on from today.

The spectacles look nice, however, if you really feel bad about it, I find that eating right, exercising, and working on presentable washboards helps offset any vague embarrassment. Also, Elton John or Dame Edna may have design ideas for special occasions. You might also consider adding green spectacles to your wardrobe as Mrs. Chateau de la Fleur would probably love them. As a designer, I am thinking she could design some really nice glasses for you, along with a motorcycle and boat. When you get old, you can wear really big glasses like Aristotle Onassis which would fit right in with your fleet of boats. And finally, look for some of those eye exercise videos and books, they really to help.
I have never EVER - hand on heart - commented on an imbedded ad on a channel I regularly or occasionally watch, but what Philip says about Hello Fresh is absolutely correct. The meals are absolutely delicious, the ingreadients are or seem to be farm or ranch fresh, and the prices are reasonable.
