PRS SE models....are hands down, the best guitars at there price range...ive tried every brand with a range at a particular price, and have never found a flaw on an SE model.❤
@@SmilingBird-sv4wu same week I brought a ltd edition Mexican Strat, same price,I brought that and PRS SE custom 24....look both amazing player's,but the Strat I had to fix couple of things to get a perfect set up and install locking tuners....the PRS has been perfect and I've had to do nothing to it🙄your probly right, I'm just going from recent experience...no BS.
Love my SE ZM BUT the electronics only last a cpl years of use. Thats the only issue ive had. QC is unreal. Inntonation setup parts all 10/10 ....Overall 9/10
Bought mine 1,5 years ago and I play it more than my core. The guitar has such a great neck, is lightweight and it looks fantastic. Even with the increased priced, it is still a good choice and a solid platform for modifications.
that is a *working guitar* neck. set neck guitars can be a nightmare on the road, unless the neck is a big fat wedge like that one. then there's the weight reduction with semi-hollow; the single rather than double f-hole mitigates some of the feedback control issues of running a semi-hollow through a large venue sound system; it's a "scooped out solid body" rather than a trad semi-hollow so you have access to the electronics via back-plates; the scooped out solid body nature of the construction also makes it *much* sturdier than a trad semi-hollow and further contributes to feedback control. everything about it screams "touring workhorse". i might have to change the pots, dunno til i can look inside, and a SD Pearly Gates in the bridge. has to be blue, don't like the other colors. tho the tampas green wouldn't show marks and stains as much as the blue, again making it better for the road, further supporting my thesis. thank you for attending my Ted Talk, goodnight. lol

I got a 2020 (I think) Trumpas green Zack Meyers PRS off EBay today. About 5 Benjamin’s with tax and shipping. I played for 2 hours before I had to leave for an appointment. I have to say, it’s got to be one of the best guitars I’ve ever played. And I have some really nice guitars. The neck pickup is the most awesome I’ve ever heard. And the middle pickup position just seems to be made to play Pink Floyd music. It just sounds awesomely good. I don’t think it’s the best looking Meyers PRS ever made. But it sounds fantastic. And the previous owner, took good care of it, or didn’t play it. It still has the plastic on the covers. Awesome. I put some new knobs on it, I didn’t like the clear. Lamp shades look good. It deserves locking tuners. I found some in the Meyers green online. I’m just so impressed on how nice sounding this thing is. Maybe I’ll switch the pots around. But maybe I won’t. We’ll see. Great guitar, my only wish is for a green headstock, like the new blue Zack Meyers. But that’s not gonna happen. Unless PRS wants to help me out. lol. Peace to all.
Had mine for a year and a half now. Changed pups to 58/15 LT, locking vintage tuners (white), white pickup rings and added push/pull tone knobs on both neck and bridge. Looks, plays, and sounds killer. It’s my number 1.
ah yes, the eternal quandary. what is the ideal amount of guitars? fortunately, this problem may be solved with mathematics, x+1=y where, x= the amount of guitars you have y= the perfect amount of guitars i hope this helps.
I got this yesterday. I cannot believe it! PRS is really on fire with this SE line. I have a G&L Legacy Strat 1997 American Made. I love that guitar but I am going to have to get a Silver Sky SE now. Damn you PRS! My wallet is getting lighter! Buy this! Try this! You would NEVER know it was a 900 dollar guitar. BTW setup out of the box is great. I been playing it and haven't even turned it yet. WOW! Thanks PRS! Keep doing this kid of quality so us non pro's can have it. 😜
Ooh this has me very tempted. Agree with others here that the SE models are fantastic guitars for the price range they're in. I have a Hollowbody II Piezo and a 277 and they are just brilliant. That said, some day I will treat myself to a Modern Eagle V!
I love the way my 2020 Zach Myers plays, but I'm not a big fan of the pickups. Very microphonic and prone to feedback in my experience. I had them replaced with a set of 57/08's and love them. The semi-hollow body and fatter neck with a single-cut body and intonatable bridge make for a great mod platform.
@@mikeadams4605 I heard PRS are blowing out most SE models at 20% off because of inventory. I live in Canada so that only brings it down to just under $1000 retail, not really a "sale" price for Canadians, our economy sucks.

@@Manley156 Our economy has been a mess for well over a decade & since our current Prime Minister took over in 2015 it's become so bad it's laughable. I got brain cancer in 2008, our provincial government had/have a special Retirement Disability Savings Plan where I put in $3000-$5000 and the Government add twice the amount that I put in. I can add to it for 6 more years or more if I like but I can't withdraw from it until 2040.
I've had about 20 PRS guitars pass through my hands since the 90s. I keep giving them an honest shake to see if one will speak to me but they never do. They have soul to me.
God only gave me two kidneys. Well at least I finally got the whale blue se24. I did some mods & it is really becoming my main guitar, even against my strat that costs twice as much. The whale blue color is intoxicating.
imma be 100% honest here. i'm not a PRS guy. they sound "nice" to me, but other than the bird inlays, i only find the single cuts at all visually appealing. granted, i'm a single cut guy, still, no PRS "jumped out at me". but i like this one. maybe because i like Shinedown, but mostly the unusual scale length. i have a preference for Gretsch scale and this guitar is just a TINY bit shorter scale than 24.6. chunky-ass neck, but i don't mind that so much. it'd have to be that color tho, the color is part of what i like about it. EDIT, oh, and imma drop a SD Pearly Gates in the bridge ASAP. not because your pups are bad, they're very good. i just LOVE that pup.
one of the fastest necks in the guitar biz. Sold mine because it was so big it's unplayable, and Ive had some baseball bat necks. Shame, it was a cool guitar otherwise. I understand its gotta be to Zach's specs but Jesus
