Yes I agree. I find the top end in the 85/15 pickups have a distinct sound. My favorite common description is “high fidelity.” IMO a nice warm pickup like a Seymour Duncan alnico 2 pro sound just killer in these SEs
Yes have a tech drop in some Seymour Duncan alnico 2 pros, or any other warmer pickup. That might help. Those pickups are on the warmer side. Also never be afraid to run the amp settings different than what your used to for a desired result.
you could BUT you might miss the neck single coil on your Strat. The neck humbucker on a PRS sounds great of course but Strat neck tone is really a great sound. Also those “ quacky” in between sounds on the Strat won’t be found in this PRS. It really depends on what you are after, maybe you really want a humbucker tone. Those Mexican made strats can be really nice guitars though.
It is. I have the spark set on a fender style emulation with some on board reverb and delay (I gotta have it.) The spark btw, is a pretty cool little practice amp, I’ve been pretty happy with it. Wanted to also add that in these reviews I am not really playing that loud. The sound you hear is relative to the volume at which I’m speaking so within conversation decibel range.
Beware…rubbish QC from PRS…..just bought one …covered in QC stickers and a detailed QC hang tag….rubbish !… the soldering on the electrics has been done by a three year old !…. The neck pickup is dead and the cheapest shittiest pickup selector switch is not working …complete cack !,,
It has that brittle sound but still warm - a great balance. Cool demo, Evan! 🤘

Thank for demo clean sound and not distortion. Too many guitar demos and they mostly use distortion
Sounds great too!
Just bought one but finding the pickups really bright, can it be tamed, thanks

@@matthewstearle7395 anytime man!
Should I swap a Fender Player (Mexican) Stratocaster for this?

Is all that sound coming from a spark?
