Sorry if i missed u fixing it, didnt watch too precisely, but it seems u've half-lit pixels which is impossible irl and it totally breaks the realism just like on 9:43, pixels are just being faded out closer to dark ares gotta dive deeper into maths :)
In the demo I did not convert the downsize of pixels like in the example. What you do. Take the divider number you choose and downsample it in photoshop or AE if it's video. So if you choose 6 export your video at 320 x 180 to make pixel perfect!
