And Izzy's cool shirt. It is clear from the cameos that she just don't give a fox about this stuff....It's all about the big eyed doggy.
You dismissed the Alvarez shown for $600, but did you see that it was a Yairi? For someone who I've noticed is into the Japanese guitars, I was surprised you didn't at least pick it up and inspect it. In case you didn't know, Yairi guitars are handmade and sold in the U.S. under the Alvarez name. They are NOT made BY Alvarez, they are made FOR Alvarez. If that guitar was in good shape, it was a great deal.
Why is the dog not on this list.
brad I.. I.. Could be wrong but ... Personally I have a certain taste in guitars , And I think a lot of viewers thought so too... Could be wrong . But I don't think you should've showed your guitar collection
Dog was best part, don't be mad
A better title would be: Blue eyed wonder dog at the guitar show!
Triumph the Insult Comic Dog may come knocking to take the blue eyed girl dog out.. =)
Izzy don't give a fox.
I thought it was cute. He obviously edited this video and chose to leave those clips in, so there must be a reason. I think for Brad it's like a home movie, where he can look back and remember a certain point in time. An outing with his daughter, maybe. It's nice. Didn't you hear her say, "this is your kind of place" when they were looking at the pickups (transducers)?
.
Nice video, Brad. Your family is beautiful.
Lol. I’ve been known to use critters like that as commentators in videos, or as a stand in for a video chat when I don’t want to be seen. 😂
better title is: badly behaved child dose not know how to act in public.
That cracks me up. My kid, about same age would be doing the same thing with is stuffed animal ha
yeah I didn't even realize it was in the video until I read this comment, im so used to having toys shoved in my face haha
My youngest was like that seemingly yesterday and today she's a teenager who's traded in her stuffed animals for a learners permit. Cherish it while you can gentleman because it's a bumpy ride from there on out.
That flea market was all the Reverb dreamers in one room. A guy can rarely find a steal on anything anymore.
There was money left in a few things.
The internet means everyone is pretty much clued in to what things are worth. Best option is to find stuff on eBay where the bidding ends on at one of the following times: During a major sports event, during peak hour traffic, Sunday morning at 7 am Monday at 8 am.
Best places to go are yard sales or flea markets... I picked up a 1999 mim strat for 25 dollars and an older Gibson acoustic for 10
Internet changed things. Everybody exactly knows what they have nowadays.
Combing second hand sites every day still scores you excellent bargains though.
@@Phoenix_cataclysm_in_2040 this is why buying things that are broken and fixing them is a good option for someone who actually wants use the stuff.
That dog needs his own channel :)
I'll tell Izzy you liked her dog. :D
keef sixstring - the dog appearance is the best thing about this...
Daughter
"This is your kind of place."
:)
dammit the pickups keep interrupting that cool blue eyed dog!
Your daughter had me rolling! My kids do the same stuff man.
Guitarist: 'These are some nice pickups'
Daughter: 'are these batteries or something?'
Every guitarist ever:😤😵
I hadn't thought about that, they look like batteries
Weird looking batteries
Batteries of AWESOME!
The stuffed dog is cracking me up!😂
I clicked for the guitars and got the stuffed animal content I didn't know I needed... Very cute and entertaining.
Oh my! Brad THIS is the kind of video I love! Be the Gear Hunter!
I loved your vids with your bud out shopping the vintage shops etc. I haven't even hit play yet. The notification just popped up and I already pulled a chubby. 😲
Can't wait! 🖱️
Brad, your daughter’s hilarious.
Hilarious? How about obnoxious! Couldn't finish watching.
@@howardfalvey4828 she learned that from Brad 😂
She gets in moods sometimes.
@@TheGuitologist as do us all
Hey the kid wanted to show off something she liked. Gotta start your YT channel somewhere lol. Better that than a boy band fan club.
Yay, new video! Thanks for the up load. Peace brother as always
Perfect Flamingo Guitar Stance. 9:00
Thank you Brad. Your videos bring me joy beyond reckoning.
Thanks for posting your adventures. The e waste stuff was pretty awesome. It was also great to see the old blond breifcase. I gave one of those to my dad when I was working for them. He's gone now, but this reminded me of how proud he was and how much I miss him.
The GORT reference was top shelf. LMFAO... This is the kind of stuff that makes your videos the best on the web Brad...
Fun Show!
Really digging your commentary on the pickup assortment!!! Thanks Brad!
That was awesome. Watching before work kinda mellows me out. Thank you
Your daughter is cracking me up ! She should hold the camera! That stuffed animal should be your prop!😂😂😂🤘🏻👍🏻👊🏻
Brad, your daughter is great! “ this is your kinda place!”
Listen to her comment @01:01 Brad's Tool Fear 'Inoculum' ruclips.net/video/sQtLK6PI3K0/видео.html
Your daughter is very sweet. Loved the blue eyed bear effects.....
Man your videos are such a nice break from reality. Thanks for the time out from life. Keep it up!
Thanks for another great video, Brad!
Hell yeah, gear n beer! Love it, thanks for sharing Brad.
Thanks for the Nice Tour Brad
Hah hah, your daughter is a riot!😁 That guy at the flea market had some very cool stuff (and he knew what it was worth for the most part).😉👍
Brad I know how you feel buddy, I have two young daughters who love to mess with me when I'm trying to do stuff too. Those are the moments we'll remember when they grow up and stop acting silly. There was actually some pretty cool stuff at that little swap meet, specially the guy with all the pickups, I would have purchased a few of those myself.
The little girl cracked me up....'this is your kind of place huh Dad?!'....
That reminded me of going to ham radio swaps with my Dad when i was a kid, great memories.
Hey Brad, it's so cute that your daughter is right there checking things out with you. Very Cool.
really cool art installation - glad you included that!
Cool video, Brad. I like when you visit places and show us all. 👍
Maannnn…I could watch this all day. We need more of these
🤙🏼
We need you to make more videos like this and of you going to pawn shops and used guitar stores, they are very fun to watch!!!!
HI BRAD JUST WANTED YOU KNOW THAT I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS AND PLEASE KEEP EM COMING MY TOP 3 FAVORITE RUclips CHANNELS BY FAR...YOU RULE MAN
Thanks John
man i love these swap meet/pawn shop videos. Its such a famine for cool used stuff where I live
I was thinking the words "klattu barrada nikto" seconds before I saw you play that clip from the movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still", which was my favorite movie during my childhood. Seeing those old microphones must have had the same effect on both of us. I also can't help liking your daughter...Seems like a fun kid to be around!
Some nice stuff out there....thanx for sharing!
Thanks for takin’ us along!!
Interesting, I've never seen a market like that geared towards guitars and other things music here in Alberta. I really dug the art gallery at the end too,...those we have! Finally, and I have to agree with many other comments from folks on here, that Brad, your daughter stole the show with her teddy bear!! I remember taking my nephew when he was 4 or 5 to a boat and sportsman show and just seeing things through his eyes was half the fun! Have a great weekend!
Great video, Bradford. I wish we had cool stuff like the guitar swap meet and that vintage shop were you found the Celestion cab. The part of Florida where I live caters to tourism and consumer whoredom, so we don't have cool stuff like this. I enjoyed the art exhibit at the end, as well. The weirdness and diversity of your content make this one of my favorite channels, even though I still scream at the television when you work on anything solid state. Take care, Brother.
Your Daughter made the video a whole lot enjoyable with that little dog popping up.
These are my favorite videos that you do. I got my boys hooked on pawn shopping years ago and whenever we go on vacation we like to check out the local pawn shops and second hand stores. My wife doesn't enjoy it as much as we do though
Great video. Nice detail and explanation
That blue eyed stuff toy had me cracking up. 😄 👍
Nice video Brad. I liked the art at the end of the video as well.
Thanks man! Yeah, I dug that piece too. Spoke to me.
The guy with the pickups had some great stuff!
Always cool material.
+1000 for the dog. My youngest, even at 9 would be just as enthusiastic with canine camera work.
really enjoy these video's ,. thanks again ..Friday's coming
Really cool stuff , You should have bought a lot of that . I wish our city had more of these Swaps .
No more ignorant seller deals 😢 thanks internet 🤬
Isn't that the truth! it's so hard to fight a stellar deal these days. But they can still be found. About 2 months ago, I bought a near mint condition 1965 L. Mozzani Classical Guitar, from facebook marketplace for $30. It was a an accidental find, I went to this guy in his early 80's house with my dad to help with a ladder that he was buying. The older gentleman and his wife were really nice and had a lot of nice things for sale in their garage, so I asked him if he had any musical instruments. After his wife reminded him that he had an old guitar, he went and found it. At first, I wasn't too impressed, it had old strings, was terribly out of tune, and needed adjustment along with being really dusty. I had no idea what it was, because I had never heard of Luigi Mozzani. However, it did sound nice, so I offered 30 and he thankfully accepted. I brought it home , cleaned it up, installed new strings and adjusted the action. Now it sounds and plays extremely well, plus it turns out that this guitar is fairly rare and worth at least $250, and I found one that sold for $700 on Italian Ebay. This was definitely a rare bargain find.
@@taotuhao5969 and yet you used the internet to find that deal?
@@MarkSD Well actually I didn't. My Dad asked for me to help him pick up a ladder. He is the one who used the internet, I would never buy anything through Facebook Marketplace because it's mostly scams.
However, the point of the original commenter wasn't about using the internet, it was about people having better knowledge of the absolute highest and lowest prices that the item is currently selling for. So it's harder to get a great underpriced deal.
I actually managed to purchase myself a jackson perfoma ps4 with a boss 1 distortion pedal for R500 which is about 45 USD from a lady whos son moved away so im not sure about that
Very cool! I wish that we had something similar like this where I live.
Wow! Some of those prices made me realize how out of touch I am with the market! $600 for a stripped and modified musicmaster bass?!?!?
I had one back in the day...it was a POS. original pickup was very weak. Some cool stuff at that flea market fer sure. You should give the blue eyed doggie its own channel..Always interesting ,thanks for the new video. Cheers!
I had a old musicmaster bass in 1967, I agree with your assesment, I swapped mine for a Dannelectro Base.
I really like the flea market videos thanks brother
That was a grest video...thank you. Loved that guru in the sleevless t shirt
The art at the end is great. I try to not dump electronics, but those little rats playing games are definitely me.
Killer Victrola! Check out Graham Alexander - he’s bought all of the RCA Victor IP and some go the Camden real estate. He’s also a musician how has played Paul Mc on Broadway and his dad plays bass in the Hooters. His song Biggest Fan is great! He’s maybe 30 but has a real reverence for the RCA history, being a Camden native
This is your kinda place, dad😎. Too bad you didn't bring a little trailer with you. That victrola cabinet was gorgeous!!
The Victrola is the best! If only I had been there to make a home for it. It was beautiful.
Again, Thanks for the history lessons.
That tele would’ve been a steal. They go for double that on reverb. The tele plus is what Johnny greenwood from Radiohead is famous for playing.
Another cool video!
Great video. I'm sure with some of the pricing you were showing, Much of that stuff went back home with its seller.
The Crosley radio @ 12:45 is a reproduction from China! I really enjoy your channel, thanks for all the hard work!
Yeah, the handle threw me at first, until I saw the crappy vinyl covering.
Love flea markets in October! 🌽🎃 Long live the guitologist!
The Victrola was really nice.....but, sadly, there is little demand for them any more. The finish on the metal parts was actually gold-plating, to prevent tarnishing.
Love that Jag more than you seem to Greg. I’m in Indy right now so I might be able to get to that flea market.
Brad cool video!
Great video!
I have the older and narrow stand up model Victrola that has been in the family for years.
Even the thick old "platters" of symphonies for it.
Doggy got the eye's! Won't miss a find with them in the seen!!
Outside of this being just a really cool video, taking a trip with the guitologist and seeing the local deals and instruments floating around etc., I thought it was especially great and really really cool that you shared that art segment with us. Especiy The piece that you did show because it's relevant to your channel, to us your viewers and the world around us. if you have ANY more information on the artist, exhibit, or gallery I would love to look further into it to support the artist.
NVM I called and they were so friendly I described it and she took my number and went downstairs to get the artist's name and and then call me back with it. How about that.
What was the artist name?
Zhang Hun
Cool video props to the new channel mascot LOL
4:00
Weird. I used those exact two 'lil instruments (Rhythmic 2 and Yamaha DD-9) to make some horrendous and hilarious gag songs on a Tascam 4-track. Never thought I'd see them coupled in the wild. Thanks lol
Ha! Fancy that!
Some really cool finds
I have the same luck
Find cool stuff and no mad money
TFS enjoyed
That was a really nice tuck n roll Kustom!
Yeah I was trying to see the price tag, will have to watcht again. Those old Kustoms are pretty cool. Great looking just as furniture, love those port holes.
The Harmony Bass at 5:20 is a Korean Samick. The headstock style is known as a Notched Eagle Beak and is from the '85-'86 era. (Non-notched Eagle beaks are '82-'88-ish.)
Oh yeah, and the Sovtek amp!!
The last part on the e-waste is gem. Got a subscription from me there....
I laughed Everytime the stuffed dog showed up😁
The stuffed dog was my favorite part! 😇👍
Nice one Brad: Nice reference to one of my favourite films also.... Klaatu Nicto Barada!
That MusicMaster was nice. Some nice bargains.
I did not see one bargain in this video.. I saw a bunch of dudes asking full blown shop retail.......
@@contrabandjoe7974 In your opinion.
@@tankthelord1178 42 years of musical instrument collecting/buying/selling is not an opinion.... You must not live in North America.......
@@contrabandjoe7974 I aplogise to you most sincerely since you are clearly an 'expert', I myself have worked in music shops and have had over 50 guitars/basses etc. and your opinion that I live not in North America is the only thing you have got right! I'd take a punt on you not being very successful at your game. Just sayin'.
@@tankthelord1178 Snowflake.....
Yeah Man I have to agree with you on recycling the electronic bits and pieces as even though something may have fried causing it to be trashed there are many good transistors, resistors, capacitors etc that are still good. Just an example: One of the trucks in our fleet a few yrs back had a fault in the instrument cluster. Had a bad transistor, which was discovered pretty easily visually. Long and short had a junk pcm and was able to pull a transistor from that to repair the cluster. Cool video btw, the dog was definitely trying for air. Time I see
I think the art piece at the end is interesting because it doesn't only apply to the stuff we throw away but to gearheads as well (to a certain extent).
Having a couple of guitars for example can be really handy if you play different genres or need different sounds. Having 5 Les Pauls because you like the look is basically wasting wood for your own little consumerist collection drive.
That e-waste art was awesome! I'm not a greenfreak either. But that's a nice piece.
i keep watching just for that blue eye doggie hahaha
That Phonograph is in great shape. So cool
That art piece was profound.
I love your videos.
Looks like your daughter has inherited an irreverent streak from you Brad. Love it!
I had to watch a full 15 second commercial to see you today, damn That’s like Colbert territory
That's adorable your daughter was trying to record you but keep sneaking in the dog.
The internet has really wised people up on prices ? Lol
Thanks for sharing your trip .
I had one of those Zoom 3000's.........oh the good ole dayz
Seen you picked up the JOYO Sweet Baby pedal...beleive it or not...its made its way on my board Not too weak...not too dirty And get em for little to nothing Great classic sound
Interesting video Brad. I noticed a Ross pedal behind the first booth of guitars you went to....where that Tenor Danelectro guitar was... If it was one of their original Compressor pedals that would be worth something?
Well done. Honest. Product
@20:46 I am with you 100% - I am definitely not a tree hugger either, but I recycle and reuse as much as I can. For me it's "respect for the environment" and just hating to see things wasted and thrown away - I am proud to say that is the way I was brought up.
I put as much as I can into our recycling bin - glass, paper/cardboard, and numbered plastics (excl 6), then I sell scrap metal. Everything from drinks cans (aluminum), soup cans and coat hangers to car parts, iron pipes, and stripped appliances - the wiring I strip and sell separately. And of course plumbing.
It doesn't net me much, but it's money I didn't have before - a couple of weeks ago I took in a 40gal water heater, a few bits of steel, a bucket of aluminum scrap and some extrusions and came out with $20.50.
By the time I have put recyclables into the recycling bin, and set aside the metal to sell, it would take us (family of three) 4-6 months to fill our 96gal garbage wheelie bin!
Best cameraperson
C'mon dad, get her that pink guitar!! That beigey pink telecaster looks sweet to me😘
