The cigar box guitar guy is giving them away. I've been making them for 10 years and believe me, this guy is making quality playable folk art that will last a lifetime. Mine are 50% more expensive than his. Very admirable of a luthier to do it for cost.
18:40, Sears had a Silvertone that came with an amplifier guitar case that you stood upright opened to use it. The one I am speaking of was around the early 60s maybe 62-63, it was pretty good for the money.
Matsumoku made guitars are awesome! I have 2 in the other room! I grew upnon a 1986 Westone Spectrum LX (198-mbk) all black, HsH. Currently I have 86 Westone Spectrum sx (black with chrome hardware & the smoothest bendmaster trem I've ever owned). I love Japanese guitars!!!! I beleive Matsumoku also collaborated with Gibson for a while also, making the tac ot tak double cut.
Can’t believe the prices on some of these guitars. If I was there I’d leave without the shirt on my back. Here in Australia guitar prices are ridiculously overpriced. Might have to convince my wife to move to the US.
I believe that Alvarez with the fancy A logo is a nice Yairi made in Japan. I don’t know what it is about Florida, but whenever I’m in the Ft. Myers area, I see all sorts of strange brands, like some other world. Lots of Chinese made stuff. There were some decent gems scattered around.
How is it that I live in Lake County and didn't even know about this?? Thank you to you, and to the YT algo for putting one of your other videos in "related" when I was cruising amp reviews. (Even though the video was not in any way related. But I guess the algo gods knew it was a winning choice nonetheless. 😁)
👍 hey...U asked cause of the humbucker in the blue strat...I think it is a Seymour Duncan SJBJ-1n JB Jr. Humbucker and a Hot Rail... nice to chill and look online to some guitars with you
tat squier tele for $400 is prolly worth it, getting harder to get, first year classic vibe, quarter sawn canadian hard rock maple... nothing beats em once you dial em in with pickups, pots what not.. even tho the tonerider pups aren't bad really, I wouldn't sell mine . . . nuh uh
i'd be very suspicious of the Malmsteen guitar. I didn't see any close-ups of it but a friend of mine bought a Chinese Malmsteen neck for $60 on Aliexpress and it was very convincing EXCEPT it had the same problem as this one. Dead frets after the 15th -16th frets. I think the Malmsteen copies are also going for $2-250 on there as well. Just going by how many partscasters, Chibsons, modified guitars in this video, it would be very hard for me to pay $1000 for a fender without taking the neck off etc to make sure it was legit.
Hey Mark, this is extremely good advice. But I have played Malmsteen models since the late 90's. I am very familiar with them. It is a legit USA 2019 model. Current List on the new ones is $2300. It was a steal. I had the frets leveled, it's playing good now. The frets are why the owner gave it away cheap. But yeah, that model is what I am most familiar with. I can spot a fake instantly. Speaking of the Chinese Malmsteens, I do have some old videos on this channel I made, reviewing, and playing a fake AliExpress Malmsteen. LOL. My real old touring videos with long hair is a real Malmsteen.
BILLY FENDER IS OUT OF HIS MIND WITH THOSE PRICES!!
I KNOW! LMAO

I love these guitar flea market videos!!!

That brass horn is an antique double belled euphonium. Probably from the 30’s early 40’s.
Rev. Horton Heat signed that guitar. I am seeing him tonight in Milwaukee. Weird coincidence.
Yep, that looks correct! Winner!
Ghetto Guitars is right down my alley. Cool video Hank. Keep up the good work.🥃😎
😎
That Silvertone Paul Stanley is the Sovereign design. The other type of pickup you asked about is called a Filtertron.
😎👍
Those prices are great buys for beginners working and learning on guitar setups and such. If you screw it up, no big loss

That is crazy because these prices are about market value for US. Some are high.
Some nice stuff
Hey Hank! Thanks for the info for Scott’s cigar box guitars! I just bought one for my guitar playin’, cigar smokin’ son.
😂 He should like a cigar box then
It would be nice if you mentioned where the guitars were made. That info is usually on the back side of the head

Gretsch is Rev. Horton Heat and Jimbo the Bass player and another at 51:12 .
Nice, someone said Rev, but nobody mentioned Jimbo yet.
Nice get! A bit of irony -- I'm pretty sure Yngwie was all about the MIJ Strats, not USA! But still, love it.
Had to level the frets, but it was a killer deal

Nice! Yeah they have this every few months. The next one is January 12th.
thanks for taking me along Hank.
No problem Ken!
That Silvertone Paul Stanley is nice, good buy. Paul S. is ok for a city boy but compared to Gene S he totally cool,
How I'd love to have one of those flea markets here in Buenos Aires...
should've bought that Meteora they're very cool
I bought the Yngwie Strat instead
Oh man a Peavey Delta Blues is my dream amp.
Congrats on the YM, killer deal!
YEP, I had the frets leveled... it's shredding now.
👍 hey...U asked cause of the humbucker in the blue strat...I think it is a Seymour Duncan SJBJ-1n JB Jr. Humbucker and a Hot Rail... nice to chill and look online to some guitars with you
Nice man, thanks for hanging out. 😎
@@HankCoffeyif U sell the Yngwie Malmsteen pls let me know...👍😎
@@DidiHyena $1800! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
900 € 😂@@HankCoffey
@@DidiHyena 1900 € + shipping I got it setup and playing good now. Muahahaha
There is hope! Some actually decent guitars for something most guys can afford!
The purple guitar pickups are Fillertron or TV Jones pickups made famous in Gretsch guitars.
😎👍
That yngwie Strat is sweet man, hope it's just a high fret. Saw the video where you got fucked around by that shop
It had about 4 high frets somehow, it is at my slow azz luthier's shop right now. It's a 2019 model, I got it dirt cheap! Should be fine.
Man I wish I was there to get that Alvarez acoustic from the start of the show, what was he asking?
People want crazy money for those now... I didn't bother asking. Probably something stupid like $2,000.

George Benson Signature on the Gretch?
Someone mentioned Rev. Horton Heat and Jimbo the Bass player. Looks legit.
🤩fab!

I have a STELLAR Mercury 02 Custom Les Paul. Has anybody heard of this company? ( not Stella guitars)
