    OK someone pointed out a bonehead mistake I made in the video, So SORRY folks. The target density for the material used to make a swimbait should be 0.7g/cm3 or less.

    Oh, heck, yeah! I love the details. The more "how-to" design engineering, the better. I'd like the "Master Class" to be an ongoing thing.....please!
    Heh heh. Guess what I just found....A master class playlist. I'm watching now!

    It would be cool to review and dissect some of the more popular swimbaits like a Chad Shad, Negotiator, or Deps Slide Swimmer. I'm interested in making a wide sweeping glide bait.

      Hi Franco, as a eng/tech guy i like both the lure making and the theory behind the build. This is what differentiates you from the the other channels. You should write a lure making primer guide. Love your vids.

    You inspired me awhile back and I made some 5” & 6” jerk baits. Pine and balsa and weighted. They both got destroyed by Blue fish and Spanish. It was awesome. Thanks for your videos.

    Glad to see a video posted Franco! Hope all is well where you are at and Idalia wasn't too bad. Being a fellow engineer I love these videos almost as much as watching you make lures! I love to learn about the nuances and what makes a lure better or how certain deviations can completely change the action. Thanks for the info!

    Very timely informative video for me. I am making a 4-segment swimbait, and just made the twist-eyes last evening. I plan on connecting the segments by gluing twist-eyes in the lead sections and pins in the trail sections. Now I know a lot more about this joint style than I did yesterday! This will be my first attempt using this joint system.
    Again, thanks for all the sessions for calculating weight. This is my second lure to calculate how much lead to use, but my first segmented lure to do this on. We'll see how I did in a few days when it's ready for a swim test.

    I love the balance between the making and the design theory. well done as always. Going back to your last video according to another RUclips channel, if you pressure-pot your molds as they cure, it will improve the surface finish. The guy does dice casting. He says it gets rid of microbubbles

    • @EngineeredAngler
      @EngineeredAngler  11 месяцев назад

      You can only really do that with the clear cast resin. You can't do that with the regular casting resin because it will throw your resin density way off.

    I enjoy you're blogs very much as they're informative but I do like the occasional fishing blogs whether at sea, (my preferred ones as I concentrate on sea fishing), or on lakes. Is it possible to have a fishing blog once a month or once every two months using the lures you've been making in between. Thanks

    I have one request Franco. 😊Can i ask you to explain how to make big floating stickbait? like for GT fishing. Lure with action when it dive, in one long jerk swipe retrieve can maki it swim left to right. What different with ordinary stick bait which need line slack and short jerk for action (WTD lure).
    Thank you.

    Hello happy fishing Friday 🎣👍 one of my favorite videos of yours is the jointed swim bait that you can add more segments to the swim bait I also love that glow in the dark video you did my dream is to someday make my own lures just like you and make my own spinning reels and rods you are my inspiration I love your idea of trouble shutting it's great 👍

    I have been going through your videos for a couple days getting as much info I can get I have been writing down everything I can. The density thing was something I was having a problem with but after watching and rewatching your videos I think I’ve got now. 😂 I’m not the best at math. 😂 Thank you for all the information you so freely give because it is priceless in my book.

    To space the gap between sections, do you measure and set the twist-eye accordingly - or do you position the twist-eye in the pin, set the twist-eye in up resin at the desired gap, and cure the uv resin to secure the gap?

    • @EngineeredAngler
      @EngineeredAngler  11 месяцев назад

      I don't use UV resin to set the hinge eye, the light won't get down inside far enough to set it. I dry fit the hardware and note how far in the eye is then take it out, add glue, set it back in.

    Does the number of lures you put in a light chamber change the set time and or quality of your finish. Love your content, thank you.

    • @EngineeredAngler
      @EngineeredAngler  11 месяцев назад +1

      It dose change the set time a bit since the added lures shadow each other. But there is no change in the quality of the finish.

    I love and admire your knowledge to make sure the bait will perform exactly the way you want. But for people like me who have been building lures for 8 years now, I prefer to just poke and hope! It adds excitement to my builds. Honestly speaking, I'm a little ADHD so trying to follow you turns into Chinese talk. No offense!!! I absolutely love your videos my friend
