Still blows my mind that Mikey doesn’t have at least 1 million subs. Mikey you are no doubt one of my favorite RUclipsrs, you are informative, entertaining, and most of all you keep real! You don’t get the credit you deserve bud!
I'm Just an old man trying to keep up with you young guys...started fishing swimbaits this year...and yes, there is a learning curve...but with videos like yours, I find the confidence to keep trying!!!..thanks for a great lesson...
Mikey, thank you for bringing this to my attention again. I keep forgetting to throw this. I get so hung up on throwing the fluke this time of year that I forget all about this rig... and I agree with brantleywitcher 914, why you don't have 500,000 subs or more is beyond me....
I'd be interested in your thoughts about what specific conditions prompt you to shift from spinning to casting gear, and for the practical benefits of a longer rod (say 7'2 to 7'6) why you would go with a 7'0-footer instead of something longer.
Thanks for the video I've learned more in this 1 video than anyone has ever told me in my short time fishing. Us new fishermen get treated like crap when it comes to spots or little techniques. We just want to catch a few we are not looking to blow out your favorite spot lol.
Was out fishing last year and brought a buddy of mine that isn't really into fishing. Got him throwing a 4'' EZ shiner on a little 1/0 jig head from the back of the boat. He managed to hook into a 5.5lb fish! On a 1500 acre Northern lake that's a stud. If I was smart id throw a finesse swim bait too but I was probably throwing a glide or something dumb
Great video Mikey. I love fishing a swimbait on a ballhead jig. Works great for smallies on shallow rocky rivers I fish. I usually use a medium action rod, but I'll have try a medium light.
Get a little bit of Florida in my pocket just need to edit it and you're definitely going to be seeing some map punching videos from up here very shortly
I LOVE the action of a keitech. The only drawback is, I can only catch one or two fish per bait. If they could make a swimbait with the great action and some durability, they’d have something great.
Any tips for paddling kayak without electronics having no luck with them on bull shoals lake in arkansas what kind of structure should I be looking for with sucess?
I'm in N.C. my home lake is lake Rhodhiss. I bought a bunch of swim baits even the ones with under spins. The bass are all under shad balls suspended. I just can't get bit. I don't understand it. The bass in this lake won't hit anything I throw. It's only taking 8 pounds with 3 fish to win the tournaments they fish. I have livescope and fish and shad are everywhere. They just won't hit anything. Any help ?? Thanks

3.3 Kitech has become my go to when the bite is tough. When the water temp cools down, I will fish it all day long.

I liked the way bogg would look around you keeping an eye on the fish. 🤟

Mikey you’re. A good dude always happy always fun ty
What size hook do you like?
I love the “zzzzzzzzzzz”! Thanks Balzz, the swim bait is one of my go to baits because of watching you fish it!…..and bog of course🤙
What hook size do you use
Love a 2.8, paired with big swimbait follow up bait, or vice versa.
I use that hook on my swimbait rod and have yet to bend one out but I've yet to hook into one over 4lbs. I love that head it's fantastic.

Good looking threads on Bog.
My favorite technique this year

Great video as always! Heading to Guntersville end of November- I guess I should try this technique there?
Love throwing it in the fall! Great video Mikey!

Makin’ me want to go get ‘em.
Thank you for sharing Mikey ❤
Absolutely love this technique, started doing this a few years ago from watching an earlier vid 😎
Appreciate the tips you shed out! Kudos brother thank you! Me being new to live scope this will help

@@mikeybalzz Man I’m gonna love that! I primarily fish Kississmee, Toho and starting to learn Chobee!!! Your stuff has always been a big help

What braid do you use? I’ve got no issues with the 832 I usually use, but open to try other stuff if people have good things to say about it

I had the same issue try switching to a rage swimmer from stoke king they are a bit more durable

As always good stuff Mikey! 🎣
I’m Gonna try this out
I live in NC and fish ponds, what keitech colors do you suggest?

Subbed. Good info brotha
So good!
Will 16lb braid with 12 lb leader work?
Definitely, lighter line is better fall and action but down in Florida around bigs I'll run 15 an 12lbs leader.
Probably….. KNOT!!! Wooooooweeeeee😂😂
3:26 someone is starting to sound like he lives in Alabama.
Let it go zzzzzzzzzz best sound ever.

Mikey isn’t a hydrologist but he is a hydrilla-ist 😎
So where are my Large Mouth? 😮
It’s 2023, it’s time for “Robo” umps. Fans are tired of ball/strikes calls ruining the game
