Our next guest is a former Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU) operator, also known as SEAL Team 6. Dom Raso shares with us the challenges he faced, from growing up in a broken home to his childhood adventures with G.I. Joe, and his aspirations of becoming a Navy SEAL. Dom passionately describes the depth of his commitment to his craft, spanning from Research and Development (R&D) to combatives. Throughout his journey, he has encountered numerous instances where he had to employ specialized tools and techniques to engage the enemy - one memorable incident involved using a knife on a rooftop. Dom reflects on teammates he lost from combat operations, to include Extortion 17, one of the biggest losses in SEAL Team history.
We later hear about the faith Dom has carried with him before and after his military career and how he applies these methodologies he has learned throughout his time at development group in his business, Dynamis Alliance.

@@James_Edward59 Facts, my grandpas friend that I met when I was 10 was a Ranger and a Green Beret before getting shrapnel to the hip. He taught me how to shoot while he was walking with a cane. They are all over lol, for the most part they arent walking around and telling everyone they meet tho.
@@James_Edward59There’s probably around 300-350k people in the USA are who are SOF veterans. SOF veterans make up roughly .001% of the population of the United States. So while it does seem like a lot, it’s still a pretty damn small number. I live on a military installation which has a SOF component on it and even when I go out in the surrounding area I rarely meet people who serve/served in that unit.
Such a great platform you have created. Giving these warriors that have been to hell, seen and fought evil, and come back. To be able to talk, say, and get things off their chest in a comfortable environment that they just can't talk to anybody about and they keep bottled up until the powder keg goes off has to be a huge relief. Love what your doing for your brothers in arms and our heroes!
Well said Sir!! You may want to take a look into a non profit , called The Heroes Journey. Spearheaded by LtCol. Scott Mann (retired) and his wife. And what they are doing on the veteran front, and his Play that toured the country, Last Out: Elegy of a Green Beret. Shawn Ryan was a guest invited to the Nashville dates . I think that speaks a lot of the value and respect these warriors have to one another.
What an inspiration faith based mindset this man has. Can't wait for this one to drop. Shawn Ryan has NEVER made a boring interview/video. Can't get enough of this channel.

You are so accurate. I was self employed and worked long hours when my children were young, but I still incorporated them into my immediate life, daily. They all inherited that marathon work ethic that they observed in me and my wife. It still blows me away.
Man, the operators that you have on these shows make the best shows. Just a great group of guys that its an honor to know and listen to their life lessons.

Man, this show is unstoppable! Every interview is so interesting and they suck you in. I grew up playing GI Joes and wanting to be just like these dudes, but I just never went that route and I regret it every day. These men and women are amazing and I have so much respect for them. I love this podcast and everything it’s about and stands for! It’s like a drug that I can’t get enough of! 👊👊
You shouldn’t regret it man. I sometimes feel that way because it’s so sick what these guys do as their day job, but the more of these interviews that I watch, the more I’m thankful that I haven’t done that.
You truly have to give 100% of yourself and you don’t even know if you or your friends are going to make it out of the other side. I’m glad that I’m a civilian that finds interest in these stories, it makes me want to help these guys and thank them every chance I get.

I got to film/photograph an event for Dom one time in VA Beach. Incredible dude! Glad you finally got him on the show.

That video with the compound blowing up at around 5:00 that is my dad and his lads it was the 3rd battalion the Yorkshire regiment before that video they was in a fire fight in this compound was full of ied making equipment and the explosive so they decided to plan a route and throw in a grenade into the building and run back out this blew two of them about 20ft that was in 2012 love the show keep it up
It’s the one show that gives me more hope then any other, when I watch these interviews I am able to get away and feel a connection to these men. And most of all they make me feel like we haven’t lost the country totally. Fellas we have one more mission left and this time it’s at home, let’s secure our freedom and our democracy.

I think this is by far the most recommended podcast to watch if you're planning to go into special ops in the military, because these are stories of dudes who lived it and can tell you exactly what to expect. They may not say directly "if you go this route you'll most likely encounter this"

Hearing these warriors stories is amazing and sad at same time. Us Americans need to really sit back and really think can our lives be that tough really when these amazing people go off taking care of the bad guys for our safety. And there are the ones who dont support them which they should. Hats off to all the men and women who go thru hell for our safety and freedom
