Aimon, thanks for your videos. I just began with a BMPCC6k and discovered your channel. Was wondering how your rig your gimbal with the BM cameras? Love the footage.
I'm going to switch to the BM 6K. Loads better quality in BRAW, and I use DRS. Question - if you had the choice today, would you go for the 6K FF L-mount? The two big cons I see are the lack of dual cards (I'm not sure I want to rig an SSD) and the fact that the lenses are more expensive. But that full-frame sensor with the OLPF has folks raving about quality. It shoots open-gate (might be useful for vertical and gyro-stabilize) and is slightly lighter.
Good call! Hm it's tough, don't forget about no ND filters. I'd love to have a FF BM but cbf to upgrade. Single card should be fine - I don't SSD either. Also open-gate ain't crazy necessary for 90% of people IMO. If you have the cash go for it, if you have a budget, pick up a 2nd hand BMPCC6k pro :)
@@CreativePhilosophy_ I got the 6K Pro :) EF lens support is so much better than L right now. Do you have a vid on handling noise reduction? Simple node in DR?
OMG! Ur video is soo amazing. I thinking about buy A7IV. I want to take pictures of real estate, but also video. The only thing that worries me is crop in 4k60. Do you think it is possible to record such good materials as yours with crop in 4k60? I would like to buy the most hybrid camera that will not ruin my budget. Your works are gorgeous!
Currently selling my A7IV for an A7SIII/FX3. If you're on a budget it will do just fine but the crop is definetly a bargain for wide shots as you have to reconsider the lens selection for video work and you're losing in image quality too. If you mainly do photo work it's an amazing camera
@@CreativePhilosophy_ Do you have a video showing how you film the day/night transitions? It would be nice to see how you physically do it while shooting and what you do in post.
Specifically for real estate, especially when you may need to hold onto footage for clients, how do you deal with storage? Assuming you’re shooting Braw 50fps at 12:1, basically getting 2ish hrs on 1tb. Are you just swimming in SSDs? Do you work storage costs into your pricing? I’ve been hesitant pulling the trigger on the 6k pro because of that, just curious. Your footage looks dope dude 🤙🏼
Thanks mate. Typically, clients sell homes within 2-3 months, so I make them aware that once the project is locked, we don't keep footage after that 3-month mark. If they need to shoot something more after then, they need to book another shoot. I do have quite a few SSDs and the cost and workflow of that is something to consider. All in all it's worth it for the quality for me.
@@CreativePhilosophy_ On that note, I have the same setup but with a Sigma 24-70 for corporate use. I am having issues with the focus motor from the RSJ pushing my lens when traying to rack. For real estate video though, as you move through a house how do you manage that without auto focus and a motor that jerks the lens? Also, have you noticed the "record" button not working with RS2 -- I have to manually press it on the camera. Thanks for advice in advance
@@zacslotemaker I just set focus for my shot before taking it, keeps my setup minimal. If it's a tight lens it's a short shot, if it's wide lens, focus should keep most of the room even if you move between rooms. I haven't had that issue, but one of my employees does, so it could be a % of the RS2s have it. I would hit up your retailer if it's still in warranty.
hey Man really love your videos. I'm currently working with the sony a7s3 and I'm starting to think to try the BMPCC6k. @@CreativePhilosophy_ yes true. I have compared the a7iv and bm full frame and when they are matched it’s very hard to see any difference, then the question comes if Sony has ibis and autofocus does it make sense to buy bm, I feel bit cheated and disappointed because I bought bm as I thought the image quality will be better. Do you feel image quality of bm is better than Sony?
@@RafalGendarz In my experience I'm definitely able to get much better images out of black magic, but yes it's at the trade of off heeaaps of things unfortunately haha
Can you share your editing process for achieving such a clean white in your videos? It would be helpful if you could create a video showcasing your BRAW editing techniques. 👍
But how do you get stable footage? Sony stabilization doesn’t seem to work (a7iii/a7iv), and gimbals have been hit and miss for me. Panasonic cameras are fantastic in this regard but they have cons in other areas.
Awesome video bro! A real estate videography course and/or series could be cool 😍✔️
Thanks mate, working on it ;)
great video mate. Love your day to night transitions. Really smooth. Can you do a video on that please?

Aimon, thanks for your videos. I just began with a BMPCC6k and discovered your channel. Was wondering how your rig your gimbal with the BM cameras? Love the footage.
Thanks mate. Just on a DJI RS2 gimbal, internal battery and memory card, never had any issues :)
Nice video ✌️✌️. Which gimbal you are using for balcknagic camera?
DJI RS2 :)
Would also love a video of you showing how you expose for real estate, do you look for windows or just let the grade do the work?
Defs try to expose for maximum dynamic range, minimal noise in shadows and retain highlights, a few tricks in the grade too. I'll jot this down :)
Hi Aimon im just out of high school and wanting to do this full time what white balance do you use for A7SIII and what LUT do you use thanks ☺
Auto white balance, and there's a bunch of luts out there, find one that works for you and put it at like 10%

There's a few different ways to do it, one popular way is Luma fades though :)

What lens do you use with the Sony?
A few, to film this the 24mm :)
Several hundred / thousands shoots a year?!
We can do 500 or so shoots a year with our current team

I would argue the setup and use of a gimbal is the most important part of the process. I use BMPCC with 0 stabilisation and my shots are smooth.
