Wet belt change is a must, got a 19 plate and got it changed at 82k miles. If serviced correctly no issues but must be Castro oil and change every 10k.Good video mate
Company I work for had about 10 customs off the road all with various issues. Mine had 99k and was scrapped, not the wet belt issue though. Got a 24 plate fiat, and its broke down 3 times 😂😂. Do love a custom, was deffo spoilt.
As a couple of others have said you will need to get that Wet belt changed . They are a nightmare on these vans. 6 years or 100,000 miles. Anyone knowing about the issues with them and interested in buying will 100% want that done.
Joe if it’s not been done you’re going to have to have the wet belt changed on that. Ford have reduced the interval to 100k rather than 150k as loads were snapping and wrecking the engine & Turbo. There’s a surprising lot of parts needed to do it as well. Your got your own workshop and mechanics but outsourced its about a £1150 job at trade rates
Nice van i bought a deranged ranger also a normal ranger at the same time couldnt fault apart from the over load from the insurance company i reckon you will sell easily but the over load on my company policy at the time was around 300 more per year for it being modied
WOW! That van is cool, it is the sort of van you'd be proud to drive and it certainly would turn heads. At £15K it will sell and if I had the money I would have it. As the other comments say the 'wet belt' would be a problem and would need addressing for future buyers. But, lovely, lovely van.👍
I have been looking for a van for ages that looks cool and has no historical issues and my problem has been finding a trust worthy dealer. I drove nearly 8 hours to pick one up, two videos from the sales guy he new where I was coming.from, reassured me it was perfect 1 owner high spec 25k miles . Arrived, gleaming sitting in the handover area and I was left to walk round, half hour and discovered 4 panels full of filler and a bad paint job with the side doors looking like a mackerel's back. Claims he didn't know but they knew. I reckon anyone would love this van, I would definitely consider it but for one thing and it's the wet belt system. I was actually really surprised you bought it, regardless of history I would get the belt done for reassurance for the new owner and for you because a new engine is not cheap. Great video and good luck with the sale.
Grear vans these, we finance hundred of them. Mega popular. You know what you're doing obviously, but as per other comments making sure the wet belt is changed and its been serviced properly is a must. These don't take kindly to neglect. Looks very smart, I'm sure that won't hang around for long.
Van prices on the way back down. I was going to buy a few months ago. The particular van i was looking at is still there minus 15% of the starting price.Lots are catching colds with the vans at mo
Feels like a good fit for your new found stock profile - it’d get lost on a forecourt full of other vans but should stand out really well among a load of Range Rovers etc!
Nice van joe I bought a 67plate 9seater torneo with 14k on the clock for 20 grand and 4grand ish VAT on top. I love mine. Vans have come a long way deffo. It’s great on fuel also even pulling the caravan and kids. Think ya have priced that fair bud compared to what I paid. All about the mileage
Hahaha Joe. My Dad's Van was the exact same way, clanking away between my legs, when I sat in the middle. So funny thinking back.. Great memories 👌 👏👏🇮🇪
Transits were made in Southampton from new til around 12 years ago . The first Turkish transits were ok but had runs or panels not fitted right and daft things but you saw them improve over time No Dagenham
For reference, my mates 71 reg 5 seat lwb crew cab in metallic blue with a tailgate c/w spoiler front and rear , sidesteps and roof bars with 28k miles which is mint was offered about 22k plus vat about a month ago on motorway . It has had a brand new engine in the last couple of weeks since then 🤷
I think I bought it myself it would be for a mobile home type conversion. I know there are much bigger van types but the meanish look it has is very nice to buy as a project, and that’s disregarding the price, if I were fitter I’d consider it.
They make tiny little RVs in Japan, they would be prefect for the UK market. They even have the steering wheel on the wrong side. Some people are importing them to the USA.
I bought a flat bottom steering wheel off eBay. Think it was off a kuga or something. Nice red stitching. Just needed to change the buttons.the face pops off and easy to change. Cost me £80 for the steering wheel and it was like brand new.
@@scott_2885yes mate, just clip the buttons out and wiring feeds out then transfer them to the new wheel.its all just pushed so no special tools needed.
Damn good job Joe promoting all aspects of your self the business and what you are selling. I like the Transit van use one for a trip to Poland every couple of months, put some miles on them. Keep on top the servicing and get the belt down, hope it sells well for you. Fascinating looking into your trade, from BM perspective 👌👊
Everyone goes on about how wet belts are a nightmare but remember look how many transits are on the road and Im sure the percentage of problems is very low
All depends on how you want to your business portrayed ideal as a promotional vehicle for car valeting ect or spark.. overkill for a workhorse. Is nice on the eye... the bald builders have something similar
Think that will sell no probs, as others have said get that belt changed. My step daughters shopping around to get her belt changed and its mega money.
The issues these vans have are so bad and will put people off big time but with the way it looks and looks inside and inside the back think you made a great buy there big appeal even converting it to aa camper or a racing family decals on it look sweet great find
Surely Derange would have paperwork for work done, if you gave them the reg, would they tell you? I think it is nice van and you won't have trouble selling it.
If I hadn't just scratched my Afla Guilia itch would love that van bit boss lady says one or other so I'm sorry Joe I will stick with the Guilia but very nice van had me tempted
Love the mean.. A cool looking beast!!! Do you ever put the scan tool on these and do a basic check, this aspect of inspection would be interesting? Also no mention of service history. I would be worried about SH (particular wet belt and dpf pressures!!) or os it just out the door sight seen(No mention of exhaust kit - Yes or No..
Our local Undertaker uses one of these as his private ambulance!! He has the exhaust tone mod fitted to his……sounds great from the rear but unmistakably a diesel from the front. Quality van though!!
I would do a wet belt on it then it will sell easy as you might have lots of questions asking if it's been done There common we do loads of these weekly jobs
Deranged are a bit crap as we live in town they throw the poor fitting kit on them and they use a lot of black tiger seal, we know someone that fits the kits and the rangers are poor

You mechanics will love you Joe when they are changing the wet belts!
I watched a High Peak Auto’s where he met up with Mike Brewer, his latest venture customisers vans like that, apparently a popular route at the mo. 🤔
A lot doing it though. It as lucrative as once was
If I was to buy that van I would want the wet belts replaced as a matter of course due to all the problems that come with these engines.

If you are paying 1150 I would seriously have a word. I pay 750 complete genuine ford kit fitted!
Trade price is £750 to £800
@@SJ-qs6iqwow I’m getting screwed then!!
To be fair, the Ford wet belt seem to go bang whenever they feel like it irrelevant of mileage 😂

Nice van, I reckon the PDR and smart repair guys will be all over it, and what a cool camper van it would make.
I wouldn’t buy anything with a wet belt. Aside from the latest change intervals you can never be 100% sure of the mileage.
Van prices on the way back down. I was going to buy a few months ago. The particular van i was looking at is still there minus 15% of the starting price.Lots are catching colds with the vans at mo
Omg love this! It's exactly what I'd choose to convert into a stealth campervan ❤
Joe morphed into Ray Winstone about 12:55..."Isss my new van innit you slaaags!"
Love it! He does it in most videos and I could never put a name to the voice. Thank you :-) @joe thank you once again!
Personally I wouldn't touch a Transit after our fleet of Torneo's ended up in the scrap yard being just 3 years old and less than 150k on most.

To tidy up the wood edges on the panelling…I use brown shoe polish. Works well. Kindest regards 🇨🇦

We’ve got a couple of these transits as work vans. Nice drive but the head units freeze when warm. Not great when following sat nav😂😂
Enjoyed this with the exeption of the overloud intrusive music.Excellent content doesn't need it.leave it to a music channel.
That’s nice, you’re boys will really make it pop
Nice van, Royal wheels do a decent job on refurbs and are pretty reasonable.

Upgrade the door locks whatever you do - these vans are so easy to break in to.
Wet belt transit, beware mate... Ka Boom
Do the wet belt and check the gauze on the oil output for crud.....otherwise wave goodbye to the margin.

you did not say about the wet belt or did it not have one at that age

Ill just say Wetbelt.
Run! Forest Run.
Joe hasn’t been a Plumber/heating engineer for awhile, only plebs still solder and use flux with XPress fittings and tools available 😊
Body kit or not I wouldn't touch one with those wet belt issues
Pi$$ed myself at the Toolstation joke. I have a Ranger and pretend I’m a sheep farmer when I go past a field 😂😂😂😂❤
Great video boy 😊
joe convert it into day van worth few bob them done!
Would look really nice with a black sun visor.
Thanks for sharing great channel 👍 when I watch forget the crazy world.
Jack at royal steering wheel for a retrim, best there is
Would defo buy a vehicle with a kit on it. Not sure about the 90k miles though 🤔
These drive lovely but wouldn’t touch due to engine issues, not just belts, injectors too
You should make it look mint then keep it and sign it up with shifting metal and berrow would look cool as fuck

It's made by Kufatek in Germany
The A team have just been on the phone, they want their van back!
If it is like the msrt van there is an external speaker where the spare wheel is that makes the van sound like a V8! 😂
Joe what kind of watch are you wearing ? In your office i mean. Very nice
As seen on tv in all kidnap scenes or taxi to see the OCG Leader! 😂
So Ford do make an engine that can last over 50,000 miles!
