A Christmas Story is my absolute favorite Christmas movie. Every year I watch it on repeat since I never can get enough of it. Now watching the movie is more special thanks to you, Jordan. Learned so much from this video. Thank you!!
I actually saw the movie for the first time this year and I love that some of it was filmed in my hometown and St. Catharines Ontario. This is a place I definitely want to visit
Jordan thank you for sharing this tour and the museum online. I wasn't aware that this house is available to stay in or that a tour was offered. Another great episode for your viewers to enjoy . The leg lamp is amazing.
Thank you for showing the Bench with a Memory plaque for director Bob Clark. I was good friends with Bob and I worked on 3 of his movies. I was working with him on Blonde and Blonder when Bob (67) and his 22 year old son Ariel were murdered by an illegal alien. The man, who will remain nameless was driving drunk on Pacific Coast Hwy on April 4, 2007 and hit Bob's car head-on, a car I had been in many times. Bob was an incredibly nice man. In Hollywood where everyone bad-mouths everyone, Bob was the only person I knew that never said a bad word about anyone. I traveled to many places with Bob and his two sons, including Canada, Uk, Disneyland and Vegas. He was very generous and had a huge amount of energy. He loved showing people around and took us on many walking tours and none of us could keep up with him. His son Ariel, had so much talent, he was studying music while in college. Jordan, Bob would have loved your coverage on both of your tours and he would be a fan of your channel. We did go to court and the man who killed these two incredible people, got only 6 six years and after serving 2 years, he was deported back to Mexico and within a year, he returned back to Los Angeles with a new name. At that point, we lost track of him. I miss Bob everyday. Bob's friends and family are forever heartbroken over losing Bob and Ariel and we're grateful to you for the time you took to share A Christmas Story's house and tour.
What did you think of A CHRISTMAS STORY CHRISTMAS? I thought it was really good. Peter & the filmmakers did a great job honoring the original & also the memory of Bob Clark & Jean Shepherd.
My favorite Christmas movie. I watch the marathon all day on Christmas Day. Another great video Jordan!! Thanks again! You work hard! Please keep our old Hollywood alive! ❤❤ 24:29
This is my husband's favorite movie & it runs in our house constantly during December & thru the year. We were last at the house in Sep 2015, they were in the process of trying to buy the Bumpus house. Our tour guide was good, he was very entertaining & fun, but our group was smaller than yours. They also had some pink nightmare suits he offered for anyone to wear & of course my husband put one on. We tried to get our grandson to put the kids one on but he refused. My husband even crawled under the sink in the kitchen. I see they changed the boys room since we were there. The beds are completely different, they had chenille bedspreads on & the headboards matched that big dresser, the big bookshelf wasnt there. Did they not have the big clump of cords in the living room plugged in by the leg lamp? I didnt see it. When we were there, they had a recording playing from the register vent of him in the basement, looks like they dont have that going either. Oh, they got the back porch put on! We had very rickety steps to walk down, they said they were getting ready to build something there. It looks so nice! Gosh so many new things, we need to get back there again. They had her dress & apron in the case with her robe when we were there. We have the full size leg lamp that is up year round, the small sized one, & the nightlight. I bought my husband the Christmas Story Monopoly game several years ago too & too many other things to list. Sorry to jabber on, lol. Thanks for showing this, I will have to have my husband watch later on.
Yup. I need to see "A CHRISTMAS STORY CHRISTMAS". After seeing clips on RUclips, I definitely feel I must see it IMHO, it's the true Official sequel, not that "A CHRISTMAS STORY 2" disaster. "A CHRISTMAS STORY CHRISTMAS" is the real immediate sequel, not "A CHRISTMAS STORY 2".
The hound dogs running through both houses were so cute the movie has so much fun scenes this place really is worth visiting as Twilight Snoopy and Simpsons museums if there is one i cant thank everyone enough the movie studios plus property owners tour staff making this all possible along with your channel Merry Happy Holidays all 💥🙏🌲
As an ‘80s baby, I grew up watching this movie with my family every year. It’s such a a huge part of my childhood. Thanks for showing us the house; I love it!
$1500 to stay?! That’s obscene! The tour for $20 though was amazing, the memorabilia was my fav part, so many things saved 🫶🏻 I own several pieces of the original flooring from the house before it was remodeled !
Well, there's only enough room for a family or two and I imagine it's a special luxury, like that special suite inside of Cinderella's Castle at Disney World. I'd imagine most money is made with the tours and the room & board is a big special thing.
This is a AWESOME video , Jordan gotta tell you I'm 69 years old and I love this movie, my kids were small then and this vlog brings back a ton of memories , THANK you Frank from montana........
I grew up in Michigan in the 1980s and can tell you the not being able to put your ams down while in your snowsuit and many layers underneath is a real issue!! I hated it! Lol. Love this movie! Love your video! Thank you for this! Its just what i needed to get into the Christmas spirit!!
@@Acemechanicalservices yes it was!! I live in Tennessee now and although I enjoy the mild winters I do miss looking out at the beautiful snow under the moon and the smell of winter nights..... ☃️❄️🌌
Been there twice myself. The first time it was just me and 2 sisters in the entire house. It was pretty cool. The second time we took 3 of my 4 grandkids.. 2 of them crawled under the sink for a picture...I got pix of each of them on the phone, and in the bathroom where the decoder pin is. I bought my lifeboy soap there. Good times! 👍
I hope you got that RV shirt for Katie! LOL. I look forward to watching A Christmas Story every year. Thank you for bringing us along for the tour. Safe travels Jordan! 😊
My all time favorite Christmas movie. Thank you Jordan for the really great video. Keep up the great work. Hope you and katie and Ja are doing well. BE SURE TO DRINK YOUR OVALTINE 😂😂
Interesting that they had a figurine of the kid getting his tongue stuck to the fence post wasn’t filmed anywhere near there. It was filmed here in St. Catharines, Ontario (about a 20-minute drive from Niagara Falls, which is why their fire truck was here) along with the school. The school still stands, although it’s no longer used as a school but the fence and neighborhood beside it are long gone. The main doors from the school featured in the film are in our Welland Canal Museum.
I have an almost three year old daughter. She demands we watch this movie every day since we started our Christmas season the weekend after thanksgiving, per tradition. She calls it “Kids”. “I want kids, daddy!!!” Every day. More than once a day. I love it as much as she does, to be honest. The other day she randomly said, “fifty thousand bucks!”
Love this movie. My son was a paperboy and won tickets to see it first came put. We all loved the movie but never heard anymore about the movie until years later when it was big
I always love anything about The Christmas Story! Like others it’s so much a part of my childhood! That leg lamp is the best thing ever!😂Thanks Jordan! Happy Holidays.🎄~Love&Light♥️Carli
My wife and I traveled to Ohio just to see the house and tour. Well worth it if you're a fan of the movie like we are. I'm friends with Scott Schwartz who played Flick, the kid that got his tongue stuck on the pole, so I know a lot of the behind the scenes stuff. (Some I can't mention here.) The entire cast will be at Steel City Con in a few weeks.
HEY,.. JORDAN & KATIE and JAH. Well ya ! Christmas story Is Definitely one of My favorite Movies of all time And Yup ! my favorite Part of the movie That makes me laugh for the rest of the movie Is when They get A Flat tire and the Dad Asks ralphie to help change the Tire and he drops The nuts all Over The place And ralphie shout Out OH FUDGE ! But that's not the Four-letter words That comes out and what Happens due to Them four words Makes that part Of the movie My favorite part and favorite movie OK take care and stay safe
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. You're not too far from Steubenville, Ohio. You should come see the Christmas Nut Cracker Village. The TODAY show will be there tomorrow morning filming it.
I adore this movie! I also find so much of it relatable even though the story takes place in an earlier era (I'm a mid-aged Gen-Xer, but some habits and minset of those earlier eras did carry over a tad, like kids running around unsupervised outside and punishments involving spanking, like Schwartz's velociraptor mom, and soap, like Ralphie). When I was tiny, my dad did bark "You [offending action] on purpose!". My dad, as a child looked like Ralphie. I have an ancient photo of him and my uncle under the Christmas tree and they looked identical to Ralphie and Randy. So cute. Ralphie the soap somalier was hilarious, along with the very blank, matter-of-fact expression he had with that Lifebuoy in his mouth. Best scene-cut, ever.
That's so awesome, I love the Christmas Story. I got to meet Peter Billingsley when they did a showing here in Boise, Idaho at a neat old theater. He was so incredibly nice. Definitely a bucketlist for me I want to go here.
I worked in Cleveland when this movie was being filmed. One day I decided to take the first bus into Cleveland very early in the morning to take advantage of some gym facilities in a building I worked in, and as I got to Public Square, while it was still dark outside, I saw a whole bunch of old cars riding around in circles around one segment of the square where the old HIgbees store sat. So when I first watched the movie, I figured out those were the scenes where Ralphie first saw his Red Ryder gun in the showcase window. Hard to believe that was 40 years ago since it seems almost like yesterday. I finally got around to seeing the Christmas Story house 30 years after the movie. Being a life-long East Sider, I never ventured much on the West Side of Cleveland. I toured the house in the Fall and Halloween decorations were up in the neighborhood. This neighborhood has a wonderful atmosphere about it. Plus, the West Side Market is not too far away and they have all kinds of goodies there.
I love all these Christmas vlogs! Makes me happy and I go back and watch these movies again. Jordan I own a desk top version of the leg lamp, it always gets a chuckle from my kids.
This was amazing! I watch this film every year. Great tour of the house and everything else. I noticed when you looked through the window in the boys bedroom it showed the street but yet in the movie when Ralphie looks out you see their backyard. Movie Magic. Have you seen "Christmas Story Christmas" yet? I think it is a good sequel to the original.
Great video Jordan. I thought $1500 is a lot to stay at the Christmas story house. But I guess if your a supper fan it’s worth every penny. Thanks Jordan. 😎❤️💯
Memories and doing activities RE WORTH MORE THAN BUY A material object. I know….ive done both and the doing things like travel, tours, horse carriage rides are what really count
I went back in October, it was awesome. To stay the night in the house, it’s cheaper when it’s off-season. I also went to where the Higbee store was (it’s now a casino)

I’ve been watching them for the past four or five years every day.
A Christmas Story is my absolute favorite Christmas movie. Every year I watch it on repeat since I never can get enough of it. Now watching the movie is more special thanks to you, Jordan. Learned so much from this video. Thank you!!
Thank you for everything
Me too. I thought I was the only one.
It’s not Christmas time without watching “A Christmas Story” and “Christmas Vacation” at least once 🎄👍🏻
My two favorites
I've seen both once already. I'll probably watch them again.
I watched Christmas story Christmas Eve:)
The teacher’s name was Miss Shields
Amen! A Christmas Story is my favorite and Christmas Vacation is number 1a.
I actually saw the movie for the first time this year and I love that some of it was filmed in my hometown and St. Catharines Ontario. This is a place I definitely want to visit
I love that they have so many of the props and costumes from the movie. So cool to see them taken care of and displayed for fans to appreciate.
Thank's so very much for taking us along with you Jordan! We sure appreciate the unique places you take us! Cheers 💫✌🏼💛 A hello to Jah!😊
I absolutely love when you come to the Cleveland area!! I am proud to see my home on your videos!! Thank you Jordan!

Jordan you know damn well that you called Flash Gordon “Flesh Gordon” 😂😂😂 Great flick! Where’s Dr Flex E Jerchoff when you need him 😂😂❤️
Great video Jordan.
This is on my bucket list
That was great!
I went back in October, it was awesome. To stay the night in the house, it’s cheaper when it’s off-season. I also went to where the Higbee store was (it’s now a casino)

Hey very nice
Some day I’ll make it to the house tour
Great video ..thanks 😊❤
Sometimes, you just need to embrace it. Would like to visit.
Cool to check out. I haven’t seen that movie in the days
