The large seaside caravan resort at Sandy Bay is owned by Haven Holidays and is called Devon Cliffs. West of Sandy Bay are the Orcombe rocks, well known for its fossils. To the east is Straight Point, this headland is used by the Royal Marines as a firing range. Further to the east is Otter Cove, Littleton Cove and the town of Budleigh Salterton.
Sandy Bay is a secluded bay with a sand beach, about a mile long, in Exmouth, Devon, England. It is a sandy beach with rock pools at one end, backed by high cliffs. It is part of a long strip of sand which is connected to the beach at Exmouth at low tide. Nearby are the Orcombe rocks, which is a famous spot for fossils.
Sandy Bay is about 10 miles south of the city of Exeter, 2.5 miles southeast of Exmouth and about 7 miles southwest of Sidmouth.

First came here when I was 3 yrs old and had many a family holiday here. I’m 62 now and there have been many changes. The beach though cannot be changed and it looks exactly as I remember it. Thank you for doing this tour and showing how it is now. It brought a lot of memories flooding back.

I was born in Exmouth, so many many happy times spent at what was simply called Sandy Bay back then. I remember like it was yesterday. Dad was a Marine so I spent time on the firing range finding skylark nests on the ground. Just a few caravans at the time, how it has expanded is quite something.

this has to be HAVEN'S largest site that they have, and i would love to know where most of their dog friendly caravans are on here, and with the vast size of this site Haven could have put up a Butlins style skyline and had all the entertainment venues under one roof but made it more unique
