- Showing the haze coming from the wildfires up north. The last couple of days we had some haze here, today in the afternoon it got considerably thicker. This was after I had gotten home from work.
The moon looks amazing now. Blood red.
That WOULD be a cool sight, yeah.
Here in Maine, it’s avoiding us due to it moving more Southeasterly.
That's good. Yeah this is definitely something for me. The scent isn't actually all that strong, the haze is definitely something else though.
This is a common sight in California when there’s a lot of wildfires. Definitely was like this when there was a lot of wildfires here back in 2020 since there were literally fires all over the state and the west coast.
Oh yeah I was thinking of that area too! I remember how active wildfire season was then. That gray sky from then I remembered, definitely wasn't like this though. Hopefully it clears later in the week.
I always get affected from California's wildfires here in Northern Texas, but this smoke right here, if it reaches Texas (specifically around the Wichita Falls area) I will tell my family to be careful since my mother is very sensitive to polluted air.
"omgaaahd oranggggg skaaaiiis areeee theeee futureeeee omgggaahhhd Im gonna daiiiii"
Been having the haze for quite some time now. Today, was the worst I have seen ever, with dominant smoke smell. About two years ago, sorta had the same event, with smoke from Canada, nothing like this years event.
Yeah ours started maybe the last couple of days or so. I remember the one from 2021, this one is definitely stronger for sure.
In my region in Ontario, Canada it was really bad on Saturday, but we’ll hopefully get rain.
I can imagine it's worse there. Hopefully it's taken care of soon!
A lot of smoke indeed. Hopefully it doesn't get to where you have to evacuate.
I don't think it will. Should hopefully clear in a few days.
It hasn’t been bad in Utah, but it’s crazy how the haze goes all the way there from Canada! That haze make pretty sunsets though!🌅
Oh yeah it is amazing how far this stuff can travel. Luckily it's raining here now, so that should help.
@@Sharkie626 that’s good that it’s raining there now. We got a storm here earlier
Im not surprised since the smoke can travel thousands of miles.
Dang looks like it was pretty bad for you guys 2 weeks ago. Back in nay in Calgary it was absolutely insane. Thre were times when looking out windows it looked like pure orange.
Oh yeah it was rough. Thankfully all clear now.
Also another large wildfire in south jersey contributing. In jersey its close to as bad.
Aw man, seems like it's happening all over!
Wow, lots of smoke there! There were some wild fires in Alberta Canada several weeks ago which impacted Colorado (my state) and West Coast in the same exact way you're experiencing here. The haze I believe lasted for about 3-4 days.
Oh yeah, most I have seen here. Hopefully after a few days this clears as well.
If you are curious what the air quality is like near the Long Island House, I just looked at the air quality for Dix Hills, New York, and it said 🔴160/500, which is unhealthy.
For those who don’t know the air quality scale, it’s basically:
🟢0-50 is good
🟡51-100 is moderate
🟠101-150 is unhealthy for sensitive groups
🔴151-200 is unhealthy
🟣201-300 is very unhealthy
🟤301-500 is hazardous.
Where I live in Clinton, the air quality is 🟡87/500 which is moderate
Man, seems like it is traveling quite far. Crazy just how much it can go.
